Also, there is often no public transport options available to take you to some of Abu Dhabi’s most famous sites like the Emirates Palace.
Need to pick up your rental car after arriving in Abu Dhabi? Travelers with flights landing at Abu Dhabi International Airport will find the car rental counters in the Skypark Plaza just across from Terminal 3 and just a few minutes’ walking distance from Terminals 1 and 2.
Headlight flashing is a common occurrence on many of the faster streets and highways in Abu Dhabi and, for drivers from other countries, this may be confusing at first. Great experience. I have used Hertz in Abu Dhabi on a few occasions in the past & whilst they maybe more expensive, you do get great service. My SUV was brand new & they also offered me two hour grace period over the allotted time of return to return my car. Both collection & return experience was seamless.

It was the worst experience renting a car. First, the advertised price is a scam anfter adding insurance, the price doubles. I booked a standard car, only to discover that it is a Chinese car, which I do not prefer to drive, and there are no other options. Third, the down payment amount which is 2000 AED which is the highest among the companies. Especially since the car is not a luxury class. Fourthly, and most importantly, they refused to hand me the car because the credit card is in my wife’s name, despite me entering the PIN and using the same card to rent a car from them previously, and they told we will cancel the booking for free and refund your money which didn’t happen till now, they cost me 120 AED to take a taxi back and forth.

Compact

The company wants to steal your money. First they tell you the baby car seat FREE of charge. Then in the invoice it is NOT free and it costs additional fees. Then they charge you extra for things you did not do so they don’t give you the deposit money!
