Pros:

Customer service was excellent! Personal very professional acting. Car was clean inside and out which is difficult during Maine's winter months. It was nice finding snow brush and ice scraper in the back seat during the encounters with winter weather. Thank you!

Cons:

I rented a car that was light in the weight department and not good on Maine's snow covered roads. Had three days of snow during my seven day rental and out of fear of getting into an accident; stay home and did not use the rental the last two snow days of the 3 snow days.

I used my Apple Credit card. It changed card number every month. You should know that. Hertz personel wanted same card number. I already paid but my card number changed. It took 1 hour. I had to call costumer service and change my credit card number. If you don’t accept Apple Credit card, I could use another card. You didn’t!

Really poor. Was going to be placed in an EV which is not what I ordered since I was going to a little town with no charging stations. Had to move from a small size SUV to crappy sedan and pay extra $50/ day for it. I’m very unhappy about this reservation all around. Sedan car was horrible, smelled of barf and smoke.

Absolutely terrible experience. My flight canceled and I had to re-reroute to Manchester, NH. I TRIED CALLING/EMAILING/And the App but none would let me change the pickup location. When I finally went to cancel the reservation and make a new one you charged me full price. I am beyond frustrated and will never use Kayak EVER AGAIN.

Although expensive, the car was excellent and we enjoyed driving it. The pickup and delivery experience was also excellent, and we appreciated that.

Clean, nice car. Had called Avis in advance to request GPS and was told no problem. Then when I arrived they said they didn’t have it. Didn’t try to help problem-solve or anything and I had a 6 hrs drive in unfamiliar territory ahead of me. If I had known in advance I would have looked up on maps ahead of time.

I did not like being charged a per-day rate when I went through tolls. Some days I had to take a toll road that was only $.75 for the toll, but Avis charges something like $5/day to go through a toll at all. Please drop this charge. It’s b.s.

Open early in Portland with like 4 folks working. Checkout was quick and easy and all the charges were actually explained thoroughly. Car was awesome.
