Have Pick up at the airport

When I arrived at Hertz they told me my card wouldn’t process (even though my money was already taken out of my account?) and I would have to contact Priceline direct. Priceline’s customer service number was an automated and kept forwarding me to Hertz who told me they couldn’t help me since reservation was booked through Priceline. So the agent at the hertz location told me I had to pay AGAIN if I wanted the car. Stuck in another state with no options and no help from either company I paid again for a rental car. Agent at Hertz location couldn’t care less. I will never use Priceline or Hertz again.

Drop off at the airport was beyond easy. The associate at pick up was all alone and doing many things at once. He did not explain everything. No one told use about the $200 hold that was placed one our card. That was explained at drop off when I asked

I didn’t like being charged for calling hertz to talk to a person to inform them that my flight had been changed and couldn’t pick up my rental til next day because the location I needed to get my car from closed at 4 pm

This was a terrible experience trying to pick up my car. They are short staffed at the airport so we waited over an hour with only two people at the counter helping- no line at any other rental company. When we got up they told us we didn’t rent at the airport and our car was 15 minutes away at another hertz. Went to the other place that told us they don’t have enough cars for the reservations and sent a guy back to get a car from the airport- that told us they didn’t have any cars either. Waited there about an hour and got our car. Car was fine but that experience was probably the worst I’ve had. They also told us that if we made a reservation at the airport and they can’t accommodate the reservation it automatically moves to another location. Spent about $80 of Uber to get there and get back when we left. I will NEVER use this company again- we even missed an excursion we booked 3 hours after landing because of all this. It was a mess, I could keep going but this gets the point across. Pay more to avoid this company - hertz and dollar are the worst!

Unfortunately, office was understaffed. Manager had a new employee hired for next day. He did his best to expedite check out. Vehicle rented not available but substituted vehicle at no upcharge.
