Cons: This was my first time renting from this rental car vendor. I travel weekly and I rent cars on a regular basis with other companies. The initial service was quick, they took my id and credit card printed me out a receipt and sent me on my way. They gave me the bay number of my vehicle and I was off. There was zero discussion or overview about their rental policy. At first, I didn't think anything of it. Renting cars is pretty straight forward. I had my reservation that detailed out what type of car I was getting and the cost breakdown, so I thought that I was walking into what I reserved. (since there was no mention of any changes upon check-in) What I didn't realize was that I was walking into was an upgraded car what would cost me $100+ more than my reservation amount. I didn't realize this until I got my receipt upon drop off and since I drove it off the lot...there was apparently nothing they could do. I understand mistakes, but I have never experienced this type of misleading service. It is not fair to the consumer to allow for these misleading circumstances to occur. I will not be returning to this location or this brand again. There are many other rental car options who focuses on the well being of their customer and that is priceless.

Pros: It was easy to pickup and drop off the vehicle.
Cons: The Fiesta I was given had mechanical issues. During the first few miles of driving it, it became obvious the dampers in the MacPherson struts were excessively worn. Any irregularities in the road cause the pitch multiple times before it finally damped out. Due to this issue, I exchanged the car at my first destination. I took the car and went on my way. At highway speeds, there was a vibration coming from the wheels. I found they were worn excessively. Although they we just at the wear indicator, they were highly scalloped.

Cons: Reservation was made online with confirmation. Unfortunately someone cancelled it in their system so we had to go through the entire process Again! Very frustrating which lead to dlays in my appointments that day. Won't use Avid again!

Cons: the problem of Kayak arranging my rental car pickup for downtown Kansas City, even tho I remember indicating that I was flying into the airport and would pick up my car at the airport. Bottom line: good on Hertz, not so good on Kayak.

They booked at the pickup location which messed up
Cons: I searched for car rental at MCI airport (Kansas City), and from the results, I choose Hertz and pre-paid. At the airport Hertz pickup location I found that the pickup location they had in the reservation was downtown. I don't know how that happened. They said that if I had to cancel the existing reservation and take the one at the airport, then I have to pay 3 TIMES the amount of my existing reservation. It was a mess. Finally, I had to cancel that reservation and had to go for another car rental agency on the spot. Double-check the reservation for the pickup location and NEVER pre-pay (if you don't prepay, they will not charge if you don't pickup).
Pros: I was happy about the ease to get the rental.
Cons: I was unhappy with the cost. It was so different than what was projected on Kayak.com

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY
Pros: Absolutely nothing. Horrendous.
Cons: They took the booking because they never updated their inventory then on the day of my reservation they call me to tell me that they don't have any rental cars and I won't have a vehicle. Then as I was in a plane and didn't get the calls I land and they refuse to call their other branches to see if they can get me a car through them. I had to start from scratch and pay same day prices. Unapologetic, useless, bad humans.
