No after hours drop off
Cons: No after hours drop off, I had to drop the car, go to work, have someone return with me later to deal with the payment.

No Car Available at Pick Up
Cons: I went to Congress St in Springfield, MA to pick up the car I reserved and they did not have a car for me and the guy at the desk said, "Too bad!" -After three phone calls with not much help I was told I had to travel 45 minutes to another location and they wanted to charge me $40.00 more than my initial reservation. Finally things got resolved at the Bradley Airport in Windsor Locks, CT location, but I would not ever recommend Springfield Budget. Friends don't let friends rent from Budget! Avoid at all cost!!!
Pros: I like the fact that I.had a car for a few days. Car had a few scratches but comfortable.
Cons: I didn't like the fact that I had to.pay more than what reserve for, and I couldn't get the car for the days I reserve for. I was supposed to have for $208.00 from the September 22 to October 1,'and I end up paying $349.00 from 22 to the 30th only. I still have one more day here without a car Saturday 1rst. Thank you for allowing me to do complaint.

Pros: Car was brand new with only 6000 miles. Beautiful, clean and comfortable. Had many options and made our trip amazing!!!

Pros: Car was brand new with only 6000 miles. Ready when we arrived. Simple and easy. Staff was very pleasant when discussing this with them. No issues so far.
Cons: Waiting for my gas charge to be refunded. We filled the car up before dropping it off. I called to make sure I was not being charged. I was charged and am now waiting to receive the gas credit. I am sure it will be taken care of.
Cons: When I arrived at Hertz, they did not have a car in class available, and offered me something of smaller class or wait two hours for my chosen car. I declined, cancelled and was told it would take 10 -14 days to get my money back/ although they managed to get my payment the same day.

Poor customer service - poor quality
Pros: The location of the business was convenient right off the highway. That was the only thing convenient about dealing with HERTZ.
Cons: The Manager at this location should take a course in Customer Service. When I arrived they told me I couldn't get the car I booked AND paid for because it was paid on a debit card. I advised him that this card could be used for credit OR debit but he simply said "NO". He had no solutions to offer and did not even try to help the situation. I told him I could put the deposit on an actual credit card as I only used the other card because it wasn't clear that I shouldn't at the time of booking. He said "NO". I said what can I do...he said..."I don't know what to tell you...you need to call this 1 800 number to see if they can help...I can't". Bottom line...after much stress and NO help we left to figure out another solution. Fortunately right down the road we found another rental company which actually new how to service their customers. We got a better car at a lower rate and were on our way about 20 minutes later. Never again will I consider doing business with HERTZ.
