The architecture and decor is suberb. The attention to detail is beyond description. Location is wonderful. It is wonderfully tranquil and reminded me of the Lost City in Beijing.
Loved the hotel's landscaping and the deign of the facility. I've never seen a landscaping crew work as hard, and their efforts showed. Liked the pool a lot as well. The staff's professionalism can really be improved. They weren't rude but They need to work on the little things. My wife asked the front desk for a list of the costs associated with the hotel's laundry service. The guy at the front desk says "it's found in the closet near the tv" (which it wasn't). This is supposed to be a five star hotel. Other places would apologize and quickly go find a list for their guests, instead of fault the blame on their guests. Additionally, there is no hair conditioner in the hotel's bathroom. I understand that some may not require this, but I'd be willing to bet a good portion of the hotel's guests do. You have to personally request conditioner from the hotel's maid service. Weird. And finally, their drink pool service has a lot to improve upon. I had to go to the hotel's other bar on the other side of the hotel to get drinks by the pool. On the last day of my stay, the hotel staff told me I could call that bar and they would deliver drinks over to the pool, but when I called, no one answered.
Loved this place. Great staff and location, lots of restaurants nearby, Sunday Walking Street close as well. They treated us and our three young kids genuinely kid and nice. Changing rooms due to closeness to a pub was no problem. Great breakfast, nice pool.
dark woods including parket flour, intimate, nice swimming pool, value for money due to its special location a lot of moskitos on arrival
The Bodhi Serene is centrally located and good for exploring Chiang Mai. The rooms are large, decorated in a nice traditional thai style and have a very large bath. The hotel has a nice boutique feel and atmosphere. The hotel room rate I got was good value and I would stay again.
The matress was a little too hard to the point that I started feeling pain on my neck.
Calm, well-designed, open-plan boutique hotel with wonderful garden, pool, breakfast area and water feature. The wifi worked well and was free. The location was very central, near the nightmarket, old walls and canal. The staff were wonderful. We liked everything about the hotel !
Clean, convenient and good value for money. Good swimming pool and rooms were spacious and comfortable The cleaning staff stole my watch - do be very careful with valuables
Helpful informative staff, great room & location
the hotel really is serene. The gentle atmosphere and its central location make it an excellent choice for Chiang Mai
The best is the location in the heart of Chiang Mai combined with absolute quietness. Lack of small spa
The hotel is absolutely "serene". Everything is spotless and the atmosphere is perfect for quiet relaxing. A great base (central location) to visit the centre of Chiang Mai and surroundings. The rooms are large with excellent airco and a nice balcony facing the garden. Every room has a large round hot tub. Free WIFI at the pool and on your balcony and free use of internetcomputers. They have a great breakfast with different hot meals and a wide range of fruits and also choice in sweat pastry. There's a cook at the counter to prepare your egg's or pancake just the way you like it. We paid 2400 THB a night which is not much for the high standards in this hotel.
Location was great, busy during the day quiet at night. Pool was nice The rooms were really small for what we paid, breakfast was poor and not up to its reviews and raves. Service was ok - some people were fantastic while the others where somewhat rude.wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool... The soaps were weird and they make such a big deal about it . They didn't really replenish it. They left our room service outside of our room for more than two days.
The beautiful "lanna" style of building, which is complemented by the beautiful and attentive staff. We enjoyed the hotel so much that we extended our stay from 3 to 5 nights. The room was bright and airy, however a little too bright in the morning and could use some "block-out" curtain fabric.
The Sirilane Hotel is one the most romantic boutique hotels I have ever seen.
Good location Housekeeping and restaurant staff friendly Food was well prepared Front desk staff not helpful Very few of the staff spoke English
location, amenities for the price price for booking back in on Dec 4th a big jump higher but guess it is the season.......they were very understanding when my flight was cancelled, then rerouted for further delay in initial arrival.
staff are very plesasant and the room is good value for money the location is also good for the activities we wanted to do. we have stayed at this hotel 3 times and it was nice to see the renovations but I do wish they would have tea & coffee facilities in the room.
The staff was fantastic and so friendly. The rooms were beautiful and the beds very comfy. It is also within great distance to everything in the old city including Wats and the Sunday night walking street. Walls are thin, so you can hear what's going on outside all night including dogs barking and loud music from next door during Songkran.
Small scale, excellent location, quiet, friendly staff, nice lanna style decoration, good breakfast buffet.
Great staff,nice atmosphere, stylish ambiance
Friendly staff, decent breakfast, close to sites and shopping.
We booked quite a while ago and got a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite on arrival. The room was great and we really enjoyed the hotel and lovely pool during the very busy light festival. The breakfast was OK...but nothing to get too excited about! Maybe the breakfast could do with some improvement. But the other food we had during our stay was great.
very nice hotel, big rooms, nice bathroom, nice swimingpool, was great with a littlle kid. massage was not so good. we also paid more for the tour we booked trough the hotel than guests from other hotels.
Very attentive, friendly and accomodating staff. Excellent little attached restaurant with good breakfast and very talented dinner chef.
very good value for money, excellent restaurant, nice cosy room, very central
Very Nice staff. Beautifully arranged hotel. We loved the koi's swimming in front of our room. Great breakfast. Small but nice pool. At night with the lights on it's even prettier! Everything very clean! We had problems with the shower. It was from hot going to cold and back to hot and so on. We think it was due to the other guests. On moment when there where no other guests taking a shower the problem was much less.
Brandnew (just opened), no nonsense concept hotel on a good location, just outside the wall in the centre of Chiang Mai. Very friendly staff and good performing free wireless internet as well.
was close to everything that you want to see and staff were very friendly and helpfull.
Location was in the heart of the town. Price was very good for the area Firstly when checked in and went to the room it was not made up. Got moved to a room which had which was noisey. Had to move from this room as not only the noise the water stopped working too... 3 rooms 2 days not best of starts
Free internet- Convenience to restaurants
The hotel was clean and well kept It was very simple basically a bed and a chair. Nothing extra. The breakfest was exactly the same every morning, no change in food options.
If you will come to Chiang Mai for the Thai New Year in April - book the street view room, and you will get the best view in the city for a festival atractions and a total madness ;-) In the rest - hotel have a nice, clean, stylish rooms. Fast internet. Good breakfast but not a royal ) McDonalds is on the first floor of the building. Small parking, if you travel by a rented car. Reserve a 15 minutes to get out of the parking.
The location is ideal, in the centre yet not noisy. The room was great, new, clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful, although their knowledge of english was limited (that's common in all Thailand). Breakfast was good, internet connection was fast and reliable, unlike other hotels we visited in Thailand.
