Front desk was very friendly and quick to get us checked in and out.
Parking was very expensive.
The place was clean and comfortable with a higher end business vibe.
Good locatoon, easy walk to local attractions, restaurants, athletic venues. Rooms were comfortable and clean, hotel bar was nice but always under-staffed.
Hotel was probably sold out for NCAA tournament, they did not staff the hotel properly. 2 working elevators for 20+ floors after a Thursday night game, plus they closed the bar/restaurant as people returned from the game. Check-in was slow on a Thursdsy, room not ready until after 4:30. Staff were nice, just not enough of them.
The hotel was convenient to the Convention Center. The room was clean, hotel was quiet, and the decor modern and relaxing.
The attached restaurant is very expensive--if you're traveling on a budget, you're going to have to walk a few blocks to find something cheaper.
The bellmen were outstanding with holding our luggage in storage while we waited 2+ hours for our car at check-out on new years day. They were what made an otherwise unpleasant experience tolerable and actually enjoyable.
The valet service was horrible. The wait was long yet tolerable because of the westin's staff and pleasantness. The valet staff had 8 people standing around the podium (not moving or running any cars) sitting there cursing in front of guests during a verbal argument- very off-putting.
Fitness room great!
1. The hotel facilities are not kept in good repair. For example, the telephone in the room had keys broken or removed from the key pad. 2. Could not check out because the computer system was frozen. I received a email of folio that appears to contain incomplete expenses.
I always stay here when in Cleveland. The staff are esp[ecially friendly, the room service is fantastic, and the free shuttle taxi within 5 miles is a lifesaver.
I didn't like the bedpost that stuck up and always seemed to catch my thigh.
After making my reservations online, I went to the front desk to check in. The Extremely rude desk clerk informed me should could not find the reservation, apologized that they were booked up and said there was nothing she coudl do. I showed her my reservation I had printed out and she said she still could not find the reservation and nothing she could do. This went on for more than a few minutes. Finally a manager found my reservation, they had my last name as my first and first as my last. The manager was polite, but did not make up for the rude clerk. Of all the people I saw while I was at the front desk for check in and check out, I would say about 80% were there to complain.
