Coon Rapids Hotels

We over there over the weekend and very nice hotel to stay. We were there for a wedding and very nice room, great breakfast in the morning. We will return again!

We have stayed in many hotels but it was our first time in Coon Rapids and we enjoyed staying in this hotel. Very professional staffs and very clean hotel. We wanted to move to Coon Rapids and we picked this hotel for our stay, what you see in this hotel's website, their pictures are accurate. We will diffidently return again!

The hotel is currently under remodel. It was a bit messy and I had to navigate around workers.

Great beds; amenities; friendly, helpful staff. Very clean and decorated nicely.

Clean, close to many restaurants, staff was friendly.

FYI Fan didn't work in bathroom. Shower faucet didn't seem to be out on straight. Took both of us a while to get water temp right, almost as if the hot and cold water was hooked up backwards. Started out really hot and took awhile to get cool.

Dining area for continental breakfast had dirty tables. We were in there for 30 minutes. Three staff members walked through and none of them cleaned the plates off the tables, washed tables, or pushed in chairs. I don't want to have to wash my own table. One cleaning lady (assuming by outfit) got coffee and breakfast. Another filled eating utensils and dishes. Another was a front desk lady who straightened up the coffee area. But none cleaned tables. I would stay at this hotel again. Staff was very friendly.

It is only 4 months old! The facility was spotless, modern, yet very comfortable and home-y. Staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was hot and had a great variety. Especially for someone who has a gluten free diet, there was plenty to choose from. Beds were comfy and clean. Thank you!

The building itself is a very old, very drab Holiday Inn from a long time ago. The walls, carpet, beds, beds, furniture are all in terrible shape, and need to be replaced. It was a very uncomfortable night sleep on the mattresses provided.

We noticed that somebody had an accident in the pool area and bled a lot, yet nobody bothered to find out what happened it seems like or if there was any biological hazard that contaminated the pool itself.

Clean rooms, with an old attic smell. Rooms are well maintained.

The carpet in my room was spotless, but you can smell the carpet needs to be replaced because of the stale smell.

Took Train/Rail from MSP to Nicollet Ave Stop (Blue Line) station which was within 2 blocks of hotel. Hotel was very nicely laid out and insulation from from adjoining rooms (top, bottom, alongside, across the hall) was fantastic. Top notch hotel linen on the bed, comfortable pillows and very good mattress. Breakfast we ordered (for 1) was easily enough for two (my wife picked up at affiliated restaurant on 1st floor). Bathroom really well done (except no ceiling fan and faucet in sink very large and centered right over sink - watch your front teeth).

No view (but nice curtains we just kept them closed). There was a noise coming through windows that was (probably) like rooftop machinery that was just past audible (my hearing is not that great - we were on 4th floor). The internet connection was not included in the rate ($30 a day i think). Valet parking was $35 or $39/per day (we did not have a car). There was no DVD player connected to the TV (very large - about 40" on pivot easily swung to bed or desk/side chair).

Incredible that there was no free wifi. You are still using ethernet cable and it didn't even work. Then when I tried to pay $11 for the wifi, it never worked either. That is a mayor flaw in 2014. One would expect a new hotel to be fresh, but as well our room was neat and clean. Updated room layout works well. The functional kitchnette is a new experience. Internet is EASY to access. Suburban location benefits a quiet stay. We'll be back.

Please offer a feather pillow option.

I enjoyed the kitchenette and the size of the room the big breakfast was great

The deadbolt to the door wouldn't work unless jimmied. There was a gap in the door you could see outside. Stained carpet. Rusted shower bar. Rubber mat in shower covered up older mat that was peeling and partially removed.

Smell, alarm didn't work, bathroom fan was loud, no night light in fact very little light in the room, traffic construction

price should have been less because construction made it very difficult to get to.

The food at Axel's was delicious. Rooms were clean and staff was very accomodating.

If I didn't have earplugs, I probably would have heard more than I would have liked late at night from the guests that were returning to their rooms after some celebration. May want to request room away from any blocks of rooms set aside for event goers.

The room was nice. Good desk, big tv, mini bar and really nice bathroom.

Shower leaked and cupboard door fell off despite being fixed once. I was never told the price of parking. Last year it was free. This year it was $22 a day. Would have like to have known. High cost for in room Internet.
