7.5 Good
Pros: Fabulous location. Unbeatable patio. Possibly best one in the whole town. Comfortable beds.
Cons: The owner never met us and communication was bit confusing. We were told we could use whole place but there was no access to a kitchen as it was locked and only had one tiny waste bin. No plates or glasses to use. The owner tried to over charge us for using 3rd room saying we accessed it when we weren't allow. But it was unlocked and was not made up and we didn't not use it at all.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and we loved the terrace. Close enough to town to take gelato back to eat on the terrace under the stars. Amazing views day and night! We saw satellites a shooting star and an incredible thunderstorm over the sea :) highly recommend and would visit again. It helped make Corniglia our favourite of the Cinque Terre.
5.4 Okay
Pros: The apartment is positioned in the strit center, however that's not hard since the whole village has 3 streets.
Cons: The architecture of the apartment is wierd and it is not as you would expect from the photos on booking. There is a super long and narrow hallway. On its right side are rooms and on the left long nothing and then bathroom. Bathroom is really horrible. Shower is so tiny you cannot fit in it if you're a biger man (I'm an average woman and i had issues with fitting in). Then you can go upstairs to the rooftop. From there view is nice but it is basically useless except maybe for the nice photo. Definitely not worth 180€ per night especially since we stayed at the castle (!!!) few days before in gaiole in chianti for 100€ per night!! Landlady is nice and friendly but that cannot nullify the awfulness of the apartment.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is excellent in a relatively quiet part of town. The town itself is nice, with mostly locals and some visitors after hours, and a secluded beach.
Cons: There was nothing to not like. The balcony and rooftop terrace overlooking the sea are heavenly.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean and nicely decorated. The location was near the center of Corniglia. It was tricky finding the unit, but the owner sent text and pictures, and we ended up asking a couple of shop owners for help so it worked out. Definitely should arrive in daylight hours.
Cons: We never actually met the owner. She communicated by email and what's app.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Location was fabulous! Excellent assistance received for directions to this apartment.
Cons: No complaints what so ever. Beautiful location. Cute apartment.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The bed was comfortable, the shower clean and the location was convenient.
Cons: There was no view which we thought we were getting and no breakfast provided. We thought it was expensive for what we got.
il Magàn - Cinque Terre - Corniglia - Bedroom
3
8.6 Excellent (258 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at il Magàn - Cinque Terre in Vernazza, you'll be 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Cinque Terre Marine Protected Area and 3.9 mi (6.3 km) from Vernazza Beach. The front desk is staffed during limited hours.
6.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was ok, though friendly service was a bit slow from the bar to the terrace. The views were beautiful from our room and from the bar.
Cons: The room needs urgent updating, especially the bathroom! The shabby sofa needs washing. The tiny shower was in a poor condition, and the hair dryer was ancient: a machine on the wall, which made a horrible noise but was inefficient, and it could be heard also from the neighboring room early in the morning (it was not a nice alarm clock, profound sleep would be nice on a holiday). Poor soundproofing: conversation from other rooms could be heard clearly and slamming of doors from the corridor. Noisy evenings on the narrow street (young people drinking and shouting in front of the bar after closing time).
9.7 Excellent
Pros: Location was beautiful, owner was incredibly accommodating, view was spectacular, and room exceeded expectations.
Cons: A bit hot at night, a fan was available but maybe a better way to position it in front of the door would help? Compared to how wonderful our stay was, this was a very minor concern.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. The breakfast was not available until 9am and I left before then.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location was excellent. The balcony had an amazing view and the terrace was nice for breakfast. It is simple and no AC so keep this in mind. Good value.
Cons: The bed and pillows were uncomfortable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view! Wow
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent, very friendly and polite. Breakfast was set up in a nice location with lovely views, pity it was raining.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is just great, with great views of both mountains, the sea and neighbouring village on the hill and not very far from the main square. Our room had a comfortable balcony to enjoy all of it. It was easy to reach from a parked car, but we did stay just one night and took only necessary things. Any hotel here would be hard to reach from the train station if you have luggage, there are quite some steps, but without heavy bags they are easy enough. The view from the breakfast terrace and the breakfast were just amazing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Value for money is probably the best in the area. This village, situated in the middle of the area is probably the best to base your explorations: it's much less touristy, more authentic, and there is a beautiful and easy hike to the next village and very easy train access to everywhere.
Cons: Nothing to complain about! Just take in mind our room was on the 3rd floor with a steep climb up the stairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic location, large room with a lovely sea view.
Cons: Breakfast on the first morning was supposed to be from 8am, but cafe area was still closed at 8.15am so we ate breakfast elsewhere. When we came back past at 8.30am they were just setting up and we were told "5 min". Breakfast the second morning was on time and was lovely out on the deck.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best hotel ever☺️ Highly recomended☺️
9.2 Excellent
Cons: Max did a great job as host! The place is really nice with me update and furnishings. Only issue was the noise from family above. Very loud and noisy until late at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The view is incredible! Staff is super friendly
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location, view, facilities, clean, hints and tips, personal touches, fridge in room, breakfast recommendation
Cons: air con wasn’t quite cool enough at night
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was perfect. Breakfast was amazing -- like a work of art every morning. The view from our room was of the Ligurian Sea - absolutely stunning. The facility also has a very nice private garden which we used 2 of the 3 nights we stayed there. It was peaceful and beautiful.
Cons: I don't have any complaints about the facility. Keep doing what you are doing! My only complaint was with the weather, because we had heavy rain 1 of our days there.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, tranquil, fantastic breakfast in nearby cafe included, friendly host. Highly recommendable!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: We booked Piccabon, their biggest room and it was FABULOUS! We loved the huge balcony facing the ocean and overlooking the garden, multiple seating options to soak in the view and amazing weather. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was done very nicely. Made use if the second balcony and clothes drying rack on the mountain side. The complimentary bottles of water and bottle of prosecco were a great touch! For breakfast, you have the option of going to one of two restaurants in town each morning (also included in the rate). I don't recall the name, but we loved the little place next to the church just down the street. And Max was a wonderful host! If you are going to Cinque Terre, we highly recommend staying here...and book Piccabon...you won't regret it!! We also loved being in the smallest of the towns away from the huge crowds.
Cons: There was a great breeze and it was a cooler night our first night so we left the windows open; however, it was difficult to sleep with the noise of the train below and the church bells every hour. But then it warmed up and we needed the air conditioning and slept wonderfully the other three nights!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The host is super nice. The view from the room is beautiful. The restaurant next to the hotel " La Posada " which the host recommend is very good and the price is very reasonable. The place is very close to town.
Cons: If you come by train. It is a long walk up hill. But you can take the bus from the train station which run every 10-15 minutes.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: The owner/staff was very welcoming. They let us park the car in their garage for free and receive us with a bottle of wine.
5.0 Okay
Cons: Host did not speak any English at all. Misrepresented.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hosts were excellent and took care of us in fine fashion. They were both helpful and helped us a great deal. The locations both were excellent, one in the center of town and one adjacent. We highly recommend La Posada
9.2 Excellent
Pros: We loved the location of the apartment right on the main square and being able to sit on our terrace and listen to the beautiful Italian language and laughter below us
Cons: .finding where to check in was tricky as we ended up at the restaurant, after climbing all those stairs! Luckily the waitress was helpful and located someone to help us.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Great place near all the things to do. The host was more than kind to us, he is lovely. The place was clean dans everything was available if we needed to cook. We felt like we were almost part of the family.
Cons: Unfortunately there’s a church right next door and the bell is keep ringing at every 30 minutes during te day and the night. The bed was a little bit old so we felt the springs from the bed.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beppe was a very friendly grandfather, his daughter Francesca also very courteous and helpful through whatsapp. Great place to stay with its own kitchen. Very highly recommended.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We loved Beppe, his accomodation, his helpful family, his home. Thank you for sharing. I will recommend you to anybody looking for a home away from home in this little paradise.

Pros: Location was fabulous. Bepe was the sweetest man ever.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beppe was a wonderful host who was very welcoming. Corniglia is beautiful and the appartement is very well situated with everything needed for a short stay with a family.
Cons: It advertises parking is free which is if you park 500m up the road. This was fine in October. Not sure how it will be in the high summer season.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great room, everything I needed. Very clean. Great coffee at breakfast!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Quiet, low key getaway and I the center of Cinque terre. Beppe, and his daughter Francheska were great. Francheska responds quickly to all your inquiries.

Pros: Small but clean and comfortable, near to the bus stop to the train station.
Affittacamere La Torre - Corniglia - Building
8
8.9 Excellent (329 reviews)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location. Gives you a panoramic view of the Corniglia village overlooking the great Mediterranean sea.
Cons: The card machine wasn't operational. But that's not a significant issue
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I didn't meet the host, because I was arriving late than I expected. I contacted the host and checked-in successfully by e-mail. The room was cozy and clean, the bathroom with hot water to shower. On the rooftop, we can see the beautiful scenery and beautiful sea. It was really nice. But there were lots of stairs, the tourists with big luggage may be hard.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: It’s location, the view from the terrace, the friendly welcome and a good bed!
Cons: We were self cattering, the fridge was very small, and barely cold... more like a simple cooler bag :/ The shower was not draining well, creating quickly a accumulation of water but plumbing issues might be expected in such old and high location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful little place, great heating plus fresh air. Lovely view and in summer the terrace would be unbeatable! A very accommodating, generous and communicative host, went out of his way to make the whole Cinque Terre experience enjoyable. Would recommend without hesitation
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful place with an amazing view Very well located Great host !!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The small village of Corniglia is the best! The shops are friendly and not crowded. Good coffee shops and markets to buy wine and supplies.
Cons: Many stairs to climb. But a beautiful view from the room and roof top patio.
6.7 Good
Pros: It's very close to the bus stop, close to all the little restaurants, it has a lovely terrace with outstanding views. Good communication with the owner via messenger.
Cons: It was a little bit smelly and dark. I've been travelling for a month and staying at comparable places in terms of pricing but this one fell short of my expectations.
4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Owner or custodian needs to be more available to open rooms when travellers arrive, and sign with location and ph contact needs to be clearer and larger
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice clean room. Great rooftop terrace with amazing views. Very simple process once we found it.
Cons: Toilet smelled somewhat like vomit which was kind of discerning. We only came about the place because a bartender called the hotel manager. Random bit of luck got us there, I don't know what we would have done otherwise.
5.7 Okay
Pros: It had a roof top terrace that had excellent views of the town (better than the La Torre view which is one of the 2 viewpoints in the town). The toiletries are kinda cute. We had a comfortable night. Having the key to come and go as we please.
Cons: Firstly there was nobody at reception (actually it doesn't seem like there is any reception) so we had to go to the town square and use the public phone to call their mobile number. Secondly when we went to our room the owner came with his dog and the dog was allowed to roam around our room and looked into one of our bags with food in it. I like dogs, but didn't think this was very clean. Lastly, the website said that credit cards were accepted, but the owner wanted cash.
4.0 Okay
Pros: I liked the view at the top of the Hotel but that's about it !
Cons: I didn't like the room which was really small and the bed was not comfortable. Not enough pillows and the sheets were not nice... The view from our window was not good. And we were awaken in the morning by the neighbours leaving their room: walls too thin ! I think it was really too expensive for what it is. No hair dryer. No breakfast for 80 euros !!
7.0 Good
Pros: excellent locvation and nice room
Cons: This is not a hotel but for rooms for rent in a building. There is no hotel facilities like reception with this room. All dealings with the "management" have to be over the phone or in the next bar. The room is very noisy when it is windy outside.
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was clean. Nice view at the roof top terrace.
Cons: Check out time was a bit early. 11:00 or 12:00 would have been nicer.
6.7 Good
Pros: The people who ran La Torre were very committed to making our stay a good one. They came to collect us in the village to show us the way up to the hotel. We also loved the rooftop area for relaxing with a glass of wine and a great view.
Cons: It was a little noisy in the room as we could easily hear what other guests we doing in their rooms.

Pros: Accommodation was comfortable and in a good location in Corniglia. Host was lovely. She gave us a lift to the train as the bus hadn't started for the day at the time we were leaving.
Cons: Wifi would have been good.

Cons: Everything was excellent, so no complaints
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay! Location was great, such a beautiful view and bonus points because we got to see the sunset right outside our room. Wish we stayed longer, we’ll definitely be back.
7.0 Good
Pros: Kind host. Good location. Nice room. Shared patio with fantastic view.
Cons: There was a bad smell in the room, most probably related to high humidity. Room fragrance didn't make it better. It could be much better without the room fragrance. No sea view from the room. You have to go out to the shared patio for the view. The room is listed in booking.com as it has sea view which is not true.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was out of the way of touristy area...more like the real thing. Small garden filled with fresh herbs....great for a good omelette. Orange trees were full...although not quite ripe yet. Even the hundreds and hundreds of steps (we are not exaggerating) to get there would not discourage us from returning!

7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the bed which was comfortable, room was spacious, location was nice. The host was not physically present, but very accessible via phone.
Cons: I couldn’t really see the sea from window, despite room stating it had a sea view and booking it for this reason. Had to stand on my toes in one corner of window to be able to see room. No shampoo provided. No TV/radio or clock so couldn’t tell the time.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: There could have been a kettle in the room to make a coffee or tea.
7.5 Good
Pros: Location and a view from the window were spactacular. And the street leading to the apartment - marvelous - narrow and cosy. Corniglia is the most tranquil place from all Cinque Terre. The room quality was basic but OK. We were able to talk to the owner via WhatsUp.
Cons: No sunshine in the room "conte" (beginning of May). If you're for the sun - choose the room upstairs.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice location, great views from the terrace, useful having the kitchenette, quiet
Cons: nothing
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved staying in this village. Liked that it is harder to access than the other villages, as it made for a more intimate experience rather than with many other tourists. The location is brilliant. Bed very comfortable. Nice cheeky view of the ocean and excellent views of the surrounding hillside and villages from the window. Air conditioner nice and quiet, which we appreciated for when sleeping at night. Great communication with owner, responded quickly, easy to find the accommodation. Access easily arranged to the property when unable to meet us at our arrival time.
Cons: Shower is very small, limited room to move within it.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location of the room was amazing, right off the coastline with a view of the mountains and sea (off the side). We loved that Corniligia was a little more isolated and was not as overwhelmed with tourists.
Cons: Although this is not a fault with the accommodation, getting to the location can be quite difficult with large bags. As we were travelling from Australia we had very big bags. We took the bus from the main station but found it challenging to roll it through the town and up several flights of stairs.
7.5 Good
Pros: Amazing view, great location
Cons: Air condtioning would have been nice, the bathroom overall was not nice, the shower is to small

Cons: Water pressure was not great one of the days, but after a few minutes it came back. The cleaning staff also took our beach towels from the room (rented at the hotel), but the staff replaced them with large bath towels as they'd run out. So it all worked out in the end.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very romantic location, safe parking
Cons: The bathroom may need an update
9.6 Excellent
Pros: it was a little out of the way and it was quiet.
Cons: the only access was up a very steep path. the gardens whilst lovely were in need of some maintenance and the fountains at the entrance did not work during our stay.

Pros: Breakfast was great with lots of selections. The view down to the beach of Monterosso is just spectacular! We took advantage of the many options of sitting to enjoy the view and have a glass of wine (purchased on site) while watching the sunset. You can see the lights of the 5 cities making up the Cinque Terre from this location.
7.1 Good
Pros: Beautiful property with amazing views of Monterosso.
Cons: Too far from town. Have to wait for the free shuttle otherwise the next one is after an hour.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was amazing!!
Cons: The beds were thin and so were the blankets, it got a tad cold at night.
7.9 Good
Pros: . The view from the balcony was amazing and the shuttle services is very professional and helpfully.
Cons: We paid a see-view room and they provide us an non see-view room, trying to convince us that the balcony extension has a see view and make me pay extra 10 euro per day for having a normally see-view room.. They close the Hotel from 2 am to 6.30 am. If you would like to get out in this time period, you cant. it is not mentioned in their terms before the booking. It is hidden condition. They do not refill constantly empty croissant and " prosciutto crudo " containers . The lady in black in the breakfast room was every time angry with the young ladies working there.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The view is magnificent. We didn't have a room with a view because we booked very late, but you can use the terrasse which they call 'solarium'. It has a stunning view over Monterosso and the sea. The staff was really thoughtful. They allowed us to check-in as soon as we arrived, more than one hour before standard time. We've asked for gluten free breakfast and they are really attentive about it, putting a basket of adequate products on your table, answering to all your requests with a smile and being efficient. Very pleasant. The room was very clean and beautiful, with a big balcony, big bed, everything is well maintained, nice materials. The fridge is noisy but big with plenty of space for your stuff. There's a parking and a complementary shuttle to bring you to the village and back every hour or less. The driver isn't driving slowly, but it's very practical.
Cons: Not much to complain about. We rated the location 3 out of 4 because it's a bit far from the village, but you have complementary shuttle and an amazing view as counterpart. The room was a bit noisy in the morning because we were over the kitchen, but on another end, it gives a bit of life with the Italian discussions. The fridge is really noisy, but I don't really know any hotel with silent models. And the fridge was big enough to place goods that we bought earlier.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Really friendly staff who help with anything you need and although there is no restaurant they are more than happy to make a salad or sandwich if you are a little hungry. Very clean hotel, rooms and communal areas. Although not centrally located the shuttle service to the main town was very reliable and easy to use. The view from the hotel was spectacular and with it being away from he town centre the hotel itself was very quiet. Plenty of on site parking - a rarity in the Cinque Terre. Breakfast comprises cakes, fruit, cereal, coffee (of course), yogurt, cold meats , cheese and toast. Nothing spectacular but is pretty standard for Italian hotels. We would certainly stay there again.
Cons: The hotel WI-Fi was pretty average. A swimming pool would be the icing on the cake and the only thing that is missing.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The sea view looked out from balcony is fantastic. We arrived a day earlier than we’ve booked, the hotel upgraded the room type and it was very nice. The hotel is located in the middle of hill, but free shuttle bus is offered. We don’t feel the location is inconvenient. The young lady who served breakfast is nice, warm and polite.
Cons: The room carpet that we stay for the 2nd night. It looks worn and
8.8 Excellent
Pros: You can see this hotel from almost any of the other 5 villages, the lone highest hotel on Monterosso's hillside. The view from our room was stunning, and the shuttle bus made it really easy to get back up to the room after a long day exploring.
Cons: Breakfast was basic and could definitely be better, and the rooms are definitely outdated (but this seems to be common in the old towns of Cinque Terre).
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was fantastic, lots of selections. Good service. Location was unbelievable, great view, beautiful areas to sit and look at the view. Shuttle into town was very easy and convenient.
Cons: only price could have been better, but still good for the price.

Pros: Staff was fantastic. Location was perfect, Breakfast was great, the staff made up hot eggs and great caffes. But best of all, I have to give exceptional credit to the staff for informing us of the National Transportation strike that was going to happen while we were staying there. Because of their interest in making sure we knew what was going on, we did not miss our flight home. Thank you so much - great job!!
Cons: Can't really think of anything. Only thing that came up was the pillow in our room was somewhat flat. Asked for another pillow and everything worked out great.

Pros: We loved our stay at Albergo Degli Amici. Our room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the water and the town. Close to everything. The breakfast was amazing. Loved the garden area to have an evening glass of vino.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was as good as it could have been. Our room (437) had an outstanding view of the city and the sea, from a very large balcony. The separate garden was an unexpected delight. The room itself was on the small size, but well designed and furnished. Breakfast was outstanding. Staff very helpful with dining recommendations and taxi reservations.
Cons: We were on the 5th floor, and the elevator malfunctioned the second day there. Staff willingly came to help with our luggage, but it was still a hike. I assume this was a one off occurrence.
10.0 Excellent
