How close to the campus and other things that the city's of Tuscaloosa and northport have to offer Rooms were a little small but comfortable for small couples or Buisness travels
The smell in the room was awful. It hit you as you walked into the room.
Great location on the University of Alabama campus. The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The ceilings in our room needed painting but overall a great place to stay.
Loved the location I got bit several times in the bed. The paint and wall paper were falling off wall In bathroom and mold in corners of bathroom and shower. Room had an odor.
Location, Location, Location! The stay was accommodating with our updated room. One husband, a wife, our 17 y.o. daughter, and another 17 y.o. young lady. We slept on two queen beds and had plenty of hot water for showers.
Location And friendly staff. rooms are pretty shabby.
Hotel is very noisy - walls are paper thin. Can hear the bathroom next door including the person getting sick. Can hear children crying and running through the halls. Can hear loud air conditioning unit outside the window. It's fairly dumpy
Location awesome Very clean Priced ok
Close to campus with an exclusive feel. Nice bar.
The room was very good quality, the bed was comfortable. The room AC worked very well. The Free breakfast could have been a little better quality, and offer a few more substantial items.
Housekeeping understaffed caused unreasonable delays regarding room availability
It's nice and clean and in a good location. The lady that checked us in wasn't very welcoming. I'm not sure if she really like her job.
Staff was great. We requested a pack n play for our 10 month old and it was set up and ready for us when we walked in. Beds were clean and comfortable. Nice flat screen TVs. Breakfast was not very good. It was free though.
The room had a smokers smell to it. Although smoking isn't allowed, I feel the initial smell of the room could've been better. The carpet also needed to be cleaned.
Available on Football Weekend. Noisy along highway. Other client's up way beyond normal curfew time and wasn't addressed by staff.
Dirty, noisy, the mattress and pillows were nice, if I wasn't so tired I wouldn't have stayed there.
Staff very helpful.t Tv would not cooperate
Shower head was to low. Just about had to get on my knees to rinse hair. Several spiders in the room.
Terrible stay dirty with a trash and mildew scent. Terrible stay dirty with a trash and mildew scent.
This location is garbage not clean ,gave me standing shower room with shower in middle water all over , sink too small cannot keep my shaving kit and brush , NoTV remote in room ,U have ask at reception That's BAD House keeping knock on your door 10.00am , Breakfast trash . Calling them self 2 star hotel with 125.00 for room is not worth 40.00 motel 6 is much better then this location
The manager on night duty was very accommodating when the air conditioner in our room did not work. She was able to move us to another room within a short period of time. She even comped our room for the inconvenience. Because of her we will stay here again.
Everything except maintenance person. :) I hated that the AC was out in our room.
Very rigid about not checking in until check in time.
Employees were very friendly and helpful. Clean facility. Facilities need sprucing up. Missing plaster, paint, etc in spots; lobby & room. Room attendant (maid) did not replinish coffee during whole stay. Towels were replaced everyday. Eventhoug, I kept towels up on racks, off of floor per "green" instructions. Had to go back to front desk to have key reprogrammed every evening.
Clean and comfortable Easy to hear noisy neighbors
The front desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived the clerk greeted us with a friendly smile and assisted us right away. We booked a single room online through Kayak but when we checked in there was none available so the clerk upgraded us to a Suite. The only thing we didn't like was the comfort of the bed.
Front desk staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Smelled excessively of cleaning supplies. My pajamas smelled so strong they were unusable after one night! Carpet was threadbare and furniture dinged up.
I enjoyed everything about my stay here. My only regret is that I only had one night there. Historically, I have awful luck with hotels. This was a pleasent exception. I will stay at Microtels more often now. N/A
In town for my daughter's softball tournament. Being a single mother, I always have to be mindful of my budget and I worry about how the hotel that I can afford will be. I was pleased to walk into a spacious, very clean room. When our team returns next year, I will be staying here.
The checkin staff were exceptional; very professional and friendly. Cleanliness was less than optimal.
it was relatively close to bryant denney stadium the lobby and hall area smelled of cigarette smoke. because it was during football season, the price was increased ridiculously for the quality of the room. $200 for a roaches! the pillows & bed were uncomfortable. it was advertised that check in is from 9 am-9pm, we weren't allowed to check in until after noon. also, the towels were stained. for the money they charge during football season, they should allot some of it to deep clean the rooms. there is no reason for uncleanliness like this!!!
Location was good Overall experience was terrible, had to ask for clean sheets upon arriving, body hair all over sheets.Room was filthy apparently had just a quick pickup of debri before arriving. Had to ask for TV remote. No housekeeping the following day. Had to ask for towels and was told sorry we are out at the moment.. I will not be staying here again.. worst experience I have had ever in Tuscaloosa!!!
This hotel is listed as a 3 star and is actually a 2 star dump.
NOTHING! GROSS ROOM--NO TOILET PAPER AND COURTESY OFFICER COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY, HAD TO MAKE TRIP TO STORE--DEAD COCKROACHES, DEAD FLYS, RAT DROPPINGS BETWEEN CABINET AND REFRIGERATOR, MOLDED COFFEE FILTER IN COFFEE MAKER, MICROWAVE HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED SINCE? REFRIGERATOR NOT CLEAN, EITHER! WE LEFT AND DID NOT STAY! THIS ESTABLISHMENT NEEDS TO BE CHECKED FROM CODE ENFORCEMENT AND HEALTH DEPARTMENT!
Clean room. Hot water closeness to campus. Nice area. Lobby was a construction zone With lots of mess and hammering. they did put us on third floor. Internet not very strong. No NBC channel (Olympics coverage). Toaster broken at breakfast. Temporary breakfast room in two guest rooms while construction going on.
Cool hotel, in the colors of Indigo. Would stay there again in a second. Reminds me of a NYC boutique hotel.
Location, decor, amenities, cleanliness were all top notch. Weak coffee: brown water that your grandma drank back in the day. Mediocre breakfast with slow service. (Quiche was very good, everything else below average.) Weird corporate policy at rooftop bar. No one below 21 allowed, but no signage to that effect.

Clean, Modern, comfortable bed, quiet No Fridge no Microwave - deal killers for me
Hotel is only 6 months old and is beautiful! Modern decor, slate tiled bathroom with glass-doored walk-in shower, super comfortable bed & Keurig coffeemaker in room, Hotel is centrally located and overlooks the river. Amenities are nice too. Breakfast service was slow the morning we were checking out and we had little time to eat.
The front desk staff was very welcoming and friendly.
The staff was top notch in this beautiful hotel located a short walk to tons of restaurants & shopping. This is definitely our new go-to hotel in Tuscaloosa!

The hotel was only five months old. Very contemporary, clean, and comfortable.
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very accomodating to let us check in hours early. Pool was super clean.
Reserved this room for 3 nights but checked out early the first morning. Room was dingy, next door had a room full of scruffy men who cussed and drank until the wee hours right outside my door, called and complained many times. I did NOT feel safe here. The clincher was when I looked up and a HUGE (I'm talking 2 inches long) roach was crawling on the ceiling. I checked out first thing the next day and booked another hotel for the rest of our stay. When I complained about all this to the manager, there was no offer to reduce my rate. This was absolutely the worst hotel in which I have ever stayed.
My stay on the property was fantastic. The customer service was great and it had a pleasant atmosphere overall. I would definitely visit again.
Somewhat dated common area in main building. Room was spacious and clean. More than once in my 3 night stay I had difficulty finding staff to help me. Complimentary breakfast was well done.
I would stay here again. The night staff was a little less professional than I expected. I suspect he was a student at the University of Alabama, and was more focused on chatting with his visiting friend than providing us with extraordinary service. But overall, not bad.
the hotel looks ok from the outside , but the rooms are old and dirty , several roaches were found. looked like a homeless shelter
The first room they put us in stunk of cigarette smoke. We asked to move and they moved us to a clean smelling room.
Internet did not work the entire time we were there. We called the front desk but the person there apparently didn't know how to reset it. The manager reset it and got it working in the morning just as we were checking out. (Why doesn't the front desk staff know how to do this or how to contact the manager to be walked though it? How hard can it be?) \nThis place needs security. \nThe continental breakfast was out of orange juice an hour before it was supposed to close and there was no one to ask about it. I informed the front desk.
I needed a place to stay for one night as a stop on our way to a conference, and this hotel worked as a good midway location. The hotel was right off of I-10 and the main street in town and easy to locate; the staff was helpful and friendly; and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel was older but not run down. They were located close to a variety of places to eat at different price points as well as a pharmacy and shopping locations. The continental breakfast was definitely satisfactory, and I would stay there again. It was not a fancy place by any means, but it certainly met the needs of what I was looking for. I was able to hit the road again the next day feeling rested and refreshed which was my goal.
When I arrived the property was under renovations. I was not told this at time of booking. I was afraid to take my shoes off. I had to call the front desk 6 times to get a baby crib and when I finally did get it, I was scared to let my child sleep in it as it was about 40 years old. pool was not open - spring weather. Also not in a very good area of town.
Absolutely would not give me a ground floor room. I had to carry all my bags, computers and printers up and down steps. One day I went without internet, so I couldn't get any work done. The receptacles in the room need to be replaced. Plugs won't stay in them.
black hairs on sheets, footprints in bathtub, tissue holder came right out of the wall, no soap, loud air conditioner, no elevator but the fridge and microwave were nice. safe area and friendly staff i have low standards so i would stay there again, at least i didnt see any bugs
