Pros:Breakfast was great when visited early (first two hours) Managers reception (5:30-7:30) is a great perk for drinks and snacks!
Cons:Elevator broke with guests inside. Engineering couldn’t fix the lift so the guest called the Dallas Fire Dept herself. Banquet Manger booked a party until 11:30pm that allowed loud music to be played until the end of booking (music was heard all throughout the facility until 11:30pm, sleep was impossible.) the vending machine on floor 3 accepted money but would not dispense products, ice machine on same floor was broken (with printed sign stating lack of service) for entire duration of stay. front desk staff has inadequate training to deal with customer complaints. When called about noise complaints twice I was referred to the “Hilton Honors Members” website to lodge complaint. When I spoke to the manager in person he did graciously accommodate my concern and discuss the situation clearly and respected my concern. Bar staff was friendly but cocktail servers were very rude and uninterested in service for customers. Daytime Bartender was talkative but enjoyed her text conversations more than service. I also was told that since I moved to Texas from California I wasn’t as welcome due to the quote, “flood of Californians seeking jobs” in Texas. That is true statement and quote. She was not malicious but didn’t see the insult or harm in the statement. I was just supposed to understand that Texans are upset about people seeking jobs in Texas and it’s a natural feeling (I wasn’t given and option about my next job assignment but, I love Texas and don’t hold her opinion against her)....the outside of the room windows were dirty to the point of the view of downtown Dallas being obstructed. Location to downtown is excellent and very convenient.
