the view, the location, overpriced, hotel just generally need an update and some attention to detail if they're going to charge those rates.
Great upgrade, the view of the City was great.
The front desk was very helpful. Being on one of the upper floors was great for the limited view of the water.
The vibe and location is awesome! Nothing. All was great!
The staff was very friendly. The location was very nice. The view was amazing. Lots of noise. We could hear neighbors just talking and laughing until 2:30 in the morning. You can hear all the traffic and business noises. No information on simple things like ice machines or vending machines.
Loved being in the middle of the action on Robson street & walking to all of the shops. I did not like the tiny bathrooms.
good location and great confort. Could do with wi-fi No wi-fi
The location is 2 blocks from the harbor, easy walk to convention center attractions as well as harbor walk to nearby Stanley park. The hotel, though very nice is showing its age, mostly in exterior architecture & room hallways. The pool/spa was a bit dirty and not very well lit. The lobby makes a great first impression but diminishes with interaction with the rest of the spaces...
location Restauarnt tawdry: all furniture worn/torn, seriously in need of refurbishment. Security panels on doors and high-pressure door closers give impression of ongoing issues re security - perhaps unwarranted, but questionable.
Very nice and helpful staff. Awesome location. Nice lobby, restaurant/bar I booked a king but got a room with two twins (or two EXTREMELY small queens), bathroom wasn't very clean and bed and pillows were not very comfortable.
Great location, worth the extra money for the harbor view. Lots of great amenities, including use of the bikes because you are so close to the seawall and Stanley Park. Nice and friendly staff. TV often didn't work and had to restart it many times.
The view was great, location was great and these made our stay perfect. The room was clean and maintained during our stay, the staff was courteous. All in all happy at the end.
1/ Location 2/ Friendly, helpful staff 3/ Great view from the breakfast room. 1/ Parking was a joke: expensive, very poorly laid out, difficult to find the way out and the way in. 2/ I found that $20 for a continental breakfast left me inclined to eat more than normal in an attempt to get my money's worth.
Requested to change room due to the noise, The stuff found us a different room at 2 in the morning. Stayed a night on the 17th floor, the elevator sound was very loud through out the day and night. I couldn't fall asleep at all.
We stayed here while attending the Sea Wheeze festivities. We loved how close the location was to the convention center and the Stanley Park since that was where most of our weekend was spent. It was very nice stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent access to the cruise terminal. A very comfy environment. We walked and used public transportation to make our way about the city, staying 3 days and two nights. We had no negative experiences or observations.
Proximity to harbor wall, Stanley Park, and Robson Street for all kinds of entertainment and diverse dining experiences. Rooms are spacious and parking is handy.
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful .the accommodations were only so so and paying $300 USD for a $100 room was a downer.
Pinnacle is clearly an older hotel that has had a high style interior makeover. The lobby, cafe/bar and the guest rooms are all very stylish. For quite reasonable rates our room had harbor and convention center views. The room and bath were nicely appointed. Quality coffe was offered for the morning The exterior is lack luster and the elevators have not been upgraded and feel a bit rickety. Our room was a hallway away from the core and we could hear them on and off all night. All in all it out performed expectations.
Staff we're very helpful and accommodating Room was super clean and surprisingly quiet considering how busy the hotel was Super convenient location Internet charge was a little outrageous
Location was most suitable to our needs Freindly staff
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Very comfortable, stunning views. Spending a lot of money on a 5 star hotel is OK but to be charged extra to use WIFI seems greedy. In 5 weeks in Canada this is the only hotel we stayed in which charged. It was also the most expensive.
Beautiful location and elegant decor. Room and bedding very comfortable and spacious. All service was friendly and prompt. Bellman was especially helpful with information and very courteous. Very enjoyable.
This is the perfect hotel to be close to the cruise terminal as well as for sightseeing, right next to Gastown, Chinatown, and the Skytrain. Had my reservation for a king sized bed, and when I entered the room, it was 2 doubles. Went down to get it changed, and the staff member (Elena?) said the rooms were fully booked and said that "the king sized was just a request". I persisted that I reserved a king and paid the price for a king, which was clearly printed on my reservation confirmation. She went to the back room to check with her manager, and finally came back out to change my room to a king size bed. It was a little troubling to have to put up a fight to get what I had reserved.
Beautiful place to stay for my first time in Vancouver. Close to everything downtown.
convenience location Extra charge for everything. food is very expensive
Good location - upmarket service You have to go through the parking garage to get to the gym - and it was cold!
Proximity to the cruise ship terminal. Easy to get anywhere in the city by walking, bus or subway (Sky Rail). Extremely courteous staff, very helpful. Will definitely stay there in the future. Nothing
the curteous staff, efficient, friendly, helpful and obliging we had bad weather
great location for prior to a cruise! restaurant has excellent menu! delicious and healthyh!
Very comfortable bed and pillows - Everything I needed was in the room. Check in and out were very fast. It was an enjoyable stay and the location was perfect.
Everything was delightful, except for figuring out the parking, which was also expensive, as all downtown parking is. Perfect location, lovely staff, extremely comfortable rooms. And to think we almost stayed at the Four Seasons! That we didn't get to stay longer!
Service was impeccable. Facilities were well kept, rooms were beautiful. A bit pricey without a discount, but absolutely amazing.
Rooms. Service. Location.
Excellent furnishings. Nothing.
Outstanding customer service from staff at all access points. I also appreciated that while they do have an award-winning fine dining restaurant, there was also a more cost-effective cafe within the hotel for more simple breakfast and lunch options. The location is a plus; we have stayed at other hotels closer to the water but we wanted to be further in the heart of downtown to be closer to art gallery & shopping; Rosewood Hotel Georgia was perfect. Thank you Kayak for making luxury a little more affordable!
Clean property with excellent staff! Rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was clean but it seemed a little old.
Nothing Worst hotel I ever stayed don't waste your money. In the same money you get a very good hotel in downtown Vancouver
Pool Sauna not working
Being inside the airport and being very quiet. For the amount of $$ the room was, I find it insulting for the hotel to charge over the Internet usage. Its an old business model that has to b changed. Absolutely not acceptable.
Watching the planes landing and taking off; being able to walk the concourse of YVR and people watching. We could hear the neighbours talking at night while we were trying to some sleep before an early morning flight ... not very sound-proof.
Proximity as well as view from our room. Breathtaking. Even with the view of the planes taking off we heard nothing because of the great soundproof windows. That our stay was too short to enjoy everything.
Very polite staff n efficiency in dealing with luggage. I had a bag full of smoked salmon that needed to be kept in the freezer overnight. Done.... Nothing.
We just stepped off the plane and into our hotel. The bathroom doors didn't allow for complete privacy.
It's very nice to be able to walk from your gate to the hotel and vice versa. The staff is polite and efficient. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The only real drawback is the price of everything. Vancouver is an expensive city, and airport property is expensive, even in more affordable cities, so you can imagine how expensive YVR ends up being.
View of the airport was amazing, And completely quite.
Location - convenient for flights. Appalling lack of maintenance including: An electrical junction box with an extemporized, ill-fitting metal cover through which exposed wires could be seen, Shattered tiles in bathroom, Peeling wallpaper, Cracked sink, Stained carpets, Beat up furniture - scraped, scratched, chipped. For such an expensive hotel, this room was unacceptable but it was really late and we had a 6:00am flight next morning so we slept in it. I informed the clerk upon check out and got "So sorry, thanks for staying with us, bye". My advice: take the shuttle to an off-site hotel.
We liked the proximity to the airport, the staff, size and cleanliness of the rooms. The sliding, louvred doors on the bathrooms.
This is a very nice new hotel. What sets it apart though is its location. It is right in the airport steps from international terminal. Though more expensive than typical layover hotels, the convenience to us was more than worth it. No shuttle buses or taxis!
Gave me a suite
At the airport so very convenient Food in restaurant a bit expensive
The air of sophistication and luxury. The ambience at the Fairmont Pacific Rim is hard to match. I liked the knowledgeable staff and their willingness to be of service to guests. House keeping can still improve in their cleanliness.
Personal service! Every need is met. Each staff member went out of their way to make sure our stay was the best it could be. For instance, Chef Nathan, who we met upstairs while looking over the menu, offered to make us special dinners in preparation for our marathon the next day. He led us to the casual restaurant and custom created pasta dishes for us! What a treat! It was delicious! Also, every encounter was greeted with such politeness! The live music was awesome. We were on the street side and it was quiet, unlike another report. I LOVE THIS HOTEL! Loved everything about it. Will be back!
Good location near Canada Place and the waterfront. Walking distance to Gaslamp. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. We had an issue with noise due to some late-night partiers and management upgraded and moved us the next day after quieting the offending room. Couldn't be happier with the quality and cleanliness all throughout. The cafes and restaurants were very convenient as well. We traveled with our three young children and everyone was very nice and respectful the entire time, we never felt out of place. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but could see that it was being used by kids on both days we were there. Room service was fantastic and the service was great as well. Not much we didn't like. It was a bit pricey but we felt we got great value considering it is a luxury property.
Staff was excellent
Hyatt was (again) an excellent choice. There was nothing to be desired. We were treated very well and the view from the room was fantastic! Friends traveling with us choose a different hotel in close proximity and it was nowhere close to Hyatt quality and comfort! They paid parking over $40 a day and our parking fees were much lower during the holiday weekend! We were very pleased during this stay!
Cleanliness, pillows and location were great! Dislike the comfort of the bed! Felt like I was sleeping on a soft floor. Not therapeutic at all. Woke up to a sore back.
Accessible to everything , nice staff , The Grain Bar is awesome , Starbucks on site . Fantastic , would highly Recomend it to everyone I know and will definetly Come Back and Stay None
Great location, great facilities, starbucks in the lobby, super efficient elevators so getting up and down from high floors is easy even during the busiest periods, comfortable, spacious and well appointed rooms, excellent service from staff at all levels. An outstanding experience.
Size of room and amenities
Decent views Great food Had to switch rooms, 1st Room was very dirty and the balcony door was broken so we could hear all the street noise and had a draft. We went from 19-20th floor Beds didn't look like that photographs. No robes
Breakfast was great! Rooms were clean and spacious.
I accidentally left my wallet with my drivers license and credit cards and money in the room. The housekeeping staff was excellent in their professional conduct. The maid took the stuff to the housekeeping department. The lady there was very helpful. The entre contents were returned to me. I truly appreciate their honesty, integrity and helpfulness. I always expect to have a great stay at the Hyatt hotels, This made it even better.
A lovely hotel - great location and fabulous staff
Staff were excellent. From the front desk, bellman, housekeeping and concierge, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay extremely pleasant.
The staff at this facility were very, very kind; and very, very helpful. The best I've ever encountered. Top marks.
Unbelievably attentive staff and attention to detail.
Aside from being everything I look for in a hotel—quiet, great views, luxuriously comfortable bed, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful architecture and decor throughout—its location really makes it special when it comes to exploring the city. It's perfectly situated along major bus and train routes, and you'll never spend more than a minute or so hailing a cab on the street (which is great, as there's currently no Uber or Lyft). Vancouver's already a super walkable city, but this makes it incredibly easy to get around without a car. Even then, you're never more than a few blocks from great food, art (the Vancouver Art Gallery is across the street), landmarks, parks, entertainment and shopping. It also smells phenomenal. Stay there.
The restaurant at Four Seasons had a delicious breakfast and the bed was super comfortable! The hotel feels a little old and worn down rather than luxurious, the gym is small, hot-tub was luke warm with no jet power, pool looks nice but it's small and shallow and there were silverfish in the sauna. On top of this I had some thing happen to me personally that didn't make it a great experience overall (things like the cleaning staff didn't come any day I was there).
I arrived at 2.0 pm and asked for my room, but it wasn't ready until 4.0pm. I reserved a deluxe suite with downtown view, but I got one with a swimming pool view. It was a bit challenging to get my room.
This hotel was nice We had a good time there our negative has to be that we came back with bedbugs. This were found two days later. My wife killed one and had been bitten on her arms and neck area
Staff were very helpful Expensive.
Called 3 times to try to stop and retrieve a phone charger. Put on hold for too long, name, phone number and email taken. Promises to get back. no follow through 3 times. finally just bought a new charger before my next stop. You would think that a 5 stare $400/night would have a system for collecting, marking and storing items left in rooms.
Hotel is walking distance from Granville Island, Stanley Park, and the Aquarium. Close to great restaurants and shopping. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant is excellent.
Fantastic customer service, staff friendly but professional. Bed incredibly cozy, just what I needed after a long flight from France. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
The staff was incredibly professional with wonderful attitudes.
Hotel is close to the airport serviced by a free shuttlre, otherwise, I would never stay there. Hotel is old and outdated. The room smelled of stale imbedded smoke. But, at least the bed was comfortable. It is definitely only for a brief over night stay, and even for that, there is a better place just as close which I found out on my shuttle. The other hotel ran the shuttle all night, the Travel Lodge did not run the shuttle after midnight, and my travel companion had to pay $20 for a cab for one mile. We also ate breakfast there and it was mediocre.
This hotel is not far from the airport. Staff are friendly. The facilities are enough for short stay, such as an indoor swimming pool and a table pool. Restaurants such as Tim Horton are nearby. Shuttle bus is provided to and from the airport. As we only stayed for a night for layover, it is good enough. The hotel looks outdated. There is only one elevator for all floors. One ice machine is located on the lobby for all floors.
Proximity to the airport All he had left was 1 smoking and 1 non smoking room (I booked 2 with Kayak). Both smelled really bad. Even the bedding was heavy with stale smoke. In one room the AC was so loud it kept us awake. In the other room, it didn't work at all. Bathroom was clean and towels were okay but the carpet wasn't vacuumed properly. I'd never stay there again. When we left in the morning, the hallway and elevator smelled so rank that I gagged.
Room was a good size and well equipped. Shower was great. Food in the attached restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced. Very convenient location - easy access to the freeway into Vancouver. Parts of the hotel are showing it's age, but as long as you can live with that it's a good option,.
I liked the free shuttle from the airport but the shuttle broke down & we had to drag our luggage about a mile. Nobody's fault. The room was nice for a one night stay. We had no problems. Hotel personnel were very friendly. I don't really have any negatives to mention
Bed and pillows were comfortable. TV was nice. Also, having a frig was handy. Too much furniture crammed into small room. Our microwave did not work.
Hotel was awesome we loved the pool but wished there was changrooms in the pool area overall five starts for sure
Located near the Vancouver airport, shuttle. First (non smoking) room smelled like an ashtray. second room had stains in various areas of the rug. We found bits of food in the bed linen. The hotel is aging and needs a refresh. And it needs to polish itscleaning procedure.
Great location enabled us to get to the airport quickly. Quiet on the floor.
Location re: airport. Difficult finding when returning from city (from north).
Close to the airport Room was stuffy and cramped. Trash under the bed. Did not have a clean feel to it. Check in staff never smiled. Think I will try air b&b next time
The room was clean. Check in/out was easy. Good restaurant next door. The television didn't work and the Internet was so bad that it may as well have not existed.
Superb location, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Elegant setting. The 2 of the restaurant staff could be a little on the snooty side!
excellent service with large rooms, and a very good location in the middle of the city rooms are bit old, but do have large flat screens TV
The room and the food. The hotel offered a free breakfast, but there was confusion with the on line booking. The offer system should be clarified. With other hotels offering a free breakfast i.e. Opus Hotel, the on line booking for the coupon was much simpler. The Hotel did honour the free breakfast.
The location is excellent. The service was first class. The restaurant 'Bacchus' was also excellent. I would definitely stay there again.
Amazing staff, clean, beautiful room with deck. And the most comfortable beds and bedding.
Comfortable room and quiet floor. Nice to come back to a lovely room after a day of exploring Vancouver.
Best hotel for service and ambiance in Vancouver nothing
Friendly professional staff Delightful breakfast in the beautiful Bacchus lounge Spacious room with quality linens and L'Occitaine products Great value Excellent location
Everything. From the most helpful and friendly staff, all of them, to the attention of waiters, bartenders, up to the Manager who stopped to chat while having breakfast. The room was large and well furnished. Not Applicable.
Our room was very comfortable &the hotel location was ideal for getting around Vancouver. Meals in dining room were v expensive, especially breakfast & frankly I've had better hash browns at MacDonalds. We had a comparable breakfast at a similar hotel in Seattle that was 25% cheaper & and of better quality by far. I just hate to be taken advantage of in that way. The box of chocolates I received for staying didn't make up for poor food at an outrageous price - even if this is a luxury hotel.
A truly great boutique hotel in an excellent downtown location. We usually prefer to dine out at night, but could not resist the lure of the wonderful atmosphere & superb food in house.I suspect all staff are highly trained in delivering excellent customer care & certainly they deliver it.The Wedgewood was a wonderful experience over the four nights we spent there. We would be cranks if we did !
Great bar and restaurant. friendly staff. very comfortable / luxurious rooms. windows are older not well insulated for sound. A bit noisy as it is downtown
Very clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff, great location, close to everything. none
Clean , neat well land out, love shuttle from airport. Food in Pier 73 leaves a lot to Be dired. I had pasta and it was awful. When I come back I will go Into town to eat. The food at Pier 73
Very close to the Vancouver Airport. Free WiFi!
Hotel was clean and staff were very pleasant For the price expected breakfast to be included. At least would have expected complimentary tea and coffee, which we had to pay for before we left for our flight in the am.
Clean, front desk was helpful and courteous
The resort, food, beverage, room service and staff guaranteed that we will return. Thanks Nicole ( in training) and Britney
Clean, modern, comfortable, easy access from airport My room heat was broken and it was too late to move, too late to have a maintenance guy come up so I just asked for some extra blankets, which were delivered. When I complained in the morning upon check-out, I was disappointed to have not been offered anything other than a brief sorry by the person checking me out. As I had a plane to catch, I didn't have time to take it further, but it honestly didn't even look like it was recorded for later inspection. I"m sorry for the next person in the room!
Check-in process: Very friendly and helpful lady Jasmine. Pier 73 restaurant was very good. Nice lobby. Clean room. Comfy bed. Quiet despite proximity to airport (others complained about this, maybe it has to do with which side of the hotel your room is on). Available parking was scarce. Elevators were slow at times. No bar other than Pier 73 restaurant.
The airport shuttle was fantastic!
Location near airport Shuttle bus from and to airport was excellent Rooms are dated and need refreshing. Food at Pier 73 needs much improvement. Breaskfast on the other hand was excellent and staff very attentive and cordial.
Hotel is clean and neat. Every 20 minutes on the hour,24 hr airport transportation in and out of airport. Very nice. Thanks.
Close to YVR, great restaurant. Hard to get to, no free parking, no pool
Modern, clean, quiet and efficient
cleanliness, modern, practical, amenities the after shampoo conditioner is impossible to get out of that bottle. please change your container!
I really didn't like the attitude of the employees(specially the front desk) ..and the quality of the service doesn't high to a 5 or 4 stars hotel service..comparing to other shangri-la hotels world wide
Well appointed, modern, spacious. Construction noise. The hotel failed to warn us about this. We would avoided it.
Beautiful hotel and location Restaurant is excellent Try to do a breakfast package. Well worth it.
The location was good -- pretty central to downtown and only a short walk to the Skylink train. The living room was extremely small -- much smaller than the pictures on the website. It's not a room one would want to hang out in. So for the price, it didn't strike me as a good value. The check-in process occurs in a dark, run-down room in the hotel garage. I'd recommend the place for business travel. I'm not sure I'd recommend it for leisure travel.
It was a beautiful hotel and was reasonably priced.
The service was outstanding. We had two suites during the day of our wedding for both wedding parties to get ready in. All of our requests were completed in a timely and gracious manner. The staff was incredibly nice and overly helpful. Thank you for making our day that much easier. Nothing, it was a perfect stay for what we needed.
Loved it all but found the staff to be extreemly friendly and helpful
The staff was amazing the rooms were impeccable the views in our corner suite were amazing !! Although the features of this hotel are truly amazing..... We were not able to stream music via Bluetooth into the stero system from our devices. My girlfriend had made a mix for my birthday celebration we had to listen to it from the iPad
The staff are amazing warm friendly and genuinely helpful. Beautiful hotel and good location. A calm oasis in a busy world
Staff I have stayed at hotels that cost 2/3 the cost of this place in Vancouver and were just as nice if not better. I am very confused why I paid $600 a night to stay here.
Bought two nights at this hotel as a surprise for my sweetheart and I. It's at the farthest end of downtown, but it's still downtown, and it's not at all in a bad area. Every room has a view (just depends on which view you get), which is awesome. It's aged (see Cons notes), but is still a great hotel, especially for the price. The room had minimal scuff/dirt build ups (but was always clean where it counted like beds, toilets, tub), and it was pretty cold, we had a hard time with the heater. I get the feeling that this hotel was absolutely the top of it's line in its day, but has since aged, mostly with grace.
The location the mattress... very uncomfortable.. felt old and lumpy
Everything but the beds. Staff was super helpful. The cleaning person was very nice to us. The views were amazing!!! And it was a very central location The beds were a little old and uncomfortable.
Comfort and view Reception
Loved the location and the air conditioning Hotel was more on the clean side, but needs an upgrade. Lots of cracks and old spots. Super small room and you had to pay extra for parking. Not worth the amount of money I paid.
The location is excellent and right on Robson Street. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. The room was always cleaned and the room attendants were all so friendly The hotel is a bit dated and the decor proved so. You have to pay for internet access and $9 per day was a bit excessive for extremely slow wifi access. It was painful to try and do any work as it took almost 5 minutes for a single page to load
This was a great location for dining and shopping. Also very close to many activities downtown. Felt nickel and dimed here. Local call charges were $1.05 per call. Mattresses were very uncomfortable, obviously not upgraded in many years. The rooms themselves had not been updated in a very long time either. Holes in the drapes, peeling wallpaper and dingy carpets. Just not up to par for hotels I've stayed at in Vancouver before and way more pricey.
The empire landmark has good prices for a decent hotel. The staff is friendly and there is a cool restaurant on the top floor. Rooms are nice and clean. The issues with this hotel are as follower: you must pay for everything (parking, Internet, ect) & the location is a bit far from the main strip so if you plan to go to clubs and bars prepare yourself to walk slightly farther then you would like.
location, big room kids need pay to eat breakfast I booked room with double beds, but I to pay for upgrade from single to queen bed
I reserved a room with a queen bed and we were given a room with two double beds. Staff at front desk were abrupt and unfriendly. Free internet in the lobby was weak. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable.
Location Your view tower on top
Big rooms , awesome view Hair dryer only blew cold air and plug in the bathroom didn't work
Room was very spacious and comfortable but was, unfortunately, next to the elevators. This resulted in a very noisy evening and this noise commenced again early in the morning.
Clean room, close to airport, dinner was easy. Location, no where to walk, had to drive up north for everything we wanted. Pool was old/dirty feeling, did not stay to jacuzzi. Wouldn't stay there for vacation.
Friendly staff, modern facilities
The water from the tap tastes better than most bottled water. Quite sweet. This hotel is new, located by the airport on the edge of Chinatown. There is a large asian grocery store behind it, along with multiple options for a quick bite. Easy access to airport and main roads. $4 for the bottle of water in the room is a bit of a trap for oversees travelers still foggy from the long flight.
One of the things that make this a really great stay for my is it is so close to the Skytrain. I cannot be bothered to drive in Vancouver and having the train so close makes getting around the city so easy. As for all hotels the staff make or break the hotel. This one has friendly and knowledgable staff. The hotel was spotless, which tells me the staff I did not interact with are also great at what they do.
Close to the train station. Very convenient
The friendliness and helpfulness of the Front Desk staff - excellent nothing
The facilities and location aree great, if you need to stay to fly. The gym and hot tub also a plus, free Internet and public transportation to downtown just outside also many shops and restaurant lesss than a minute walking. The reception staff just perfect, they go the extra mike to to make your stay very comfortable. Nothing
Close to supermarket & train station The town is almost Cina
Friendly Don't have toothbrush and toothpaste in the bathroom
Although the hotel was situated out of the city it was very well serviced by public transport, which made it easy to get around. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Winthin walking distance to a lot of good dining and shoppong, and next to public transit station.
Friendly staff. Clean room. They didn't have an exercise room....the one elliptical and bike in a room with a drop down ceiling that couldn't accommodate anyone over 5'5' was VERY disappointing.
The rooms were clean and spacious. the facility was nice. The people were helpful. No problems.
Staff and Building were fabulous. Location was great. The online/website marketing advertised hot tub and swimming pool facilities as part of the building. Turns out, there is none. Also - details in the room itself for maintenance = the drain plug on the "soaking tub" did not close and, therefore soaking could not happen....and the "hot" water only ever got to tepid-warm for the shower I took.
This is my third stay in this property. Great location, great staff, having a seating area a big plus! Very quiet. Am appreciative that it's not your typical business type chain hotel. Because my first stay was after property first opened, like all "homes," am starting to see the wear and tear of time. Hope the property stays energized vs transforming into a tired grande dame.
The rooms are small, but everything else was great. Fantastic front desk. The hotel was quite willing to change a reservation by 24 hours, but not the hotel booker. Turns out that the booking service (that begins with "K" and won't allow comments on this site, uses a third party hotel booker (also not allowed a mention here) but begins with a "G" who are totally inflexible.
We booked this hotel somewhat last minute after an Airbnb reservation didn't work out. We were very pleased with the hotel. The location couldn't be better, service was very friendly, and the room was spacious and well-appointed. No pool or hot tub, but for a smaller hotel like this, it's not unusual.
Restaurant has very limited options and very rude staff. food taste poor and not worth money. Hotel is very small with limited facilities. I will not like to stay again.
Suite was beautiful
This is a great location.the staff is helpful and you are able to easily walk to many Vancouver sites.
The room huge, staff caring, hotel conveniently located in downtown, and awesome. Busy street during day because of near by building construction but not really an issue. Still quiet in room!
Extremely helpful, friendly and dedicated service. Unfortunately, we were in and out quickly for an early flight, but everyone was terrific in getting us checked in, fed, and out the door to the airport on time.
Very friendly staff, very customer oriented. Clean, nice rooms/suites. Great location right downtown. Just a little mold on the grout in the bathroom.
Great location. Beautiful room including living area and outdoor patio (had a fifth floor corner room with two walls of window). Incredibly efficient and friendly staff. Surprising inexpensive. There was construction going on across the street. No fault of the hotel but did make for a mixed view. Shows that the city is bustling and the concierge immediate apologized to each new guest instead of making excuses for it.
n'espresso maker in room. big tub. fireplace in room. saltwater pool and hot tub open year round. awesome concierge. housekeeping noticed I'd bought a bottle of scotch and proactively left me proper highball glasses for it! not really any view
We arrived early in the morning from a cruise ship. The staff was so welcoming. We knew at 9am a room would not be available...so we went off to explore Vancouver. 30 minutes later we had a cell phone call that our beautiful room was available. I don't want to rant...on and on...so all I will say as a previous owner of a meeting planning company that needed to book high end hotels for my VIPS...this is a very classy and comfortable property at a wonderful rate. WE WILL STAY HERE OUR NEXT VISIT TO VANCOUVER. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
The staff was very professional and friendly. Very classy overall feel to the style of the hotel. Their was nothing I disliked about our stay. Would definately stay here again.
Staff was so nice, car to take us to dinner, beds very comfortable, big bathrooms, luxurious robes.
I was in Vancouver for one night for an early AM meeting. I had a long day of work and travel before checking in and the staff made me feel immediately welcome. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I regret not having more than a few hours to take advantage of this property. No cons to report
The wireless internet connection was AWFUL despite coming included w the room. Couldn't get online and it was really difficult to connect.
Location, location, location. Close to opera house, Gastown, and great restaurants. Loved the fact that carpets have been replaced by hard flooring. Very quiet and clean. A little on the expensive side for an older hotel with few amenities, but the location is worth it and the beds are comfortable.
Location, price, comfortable room
Everything else was great. The fire alarm went off and we were all evacuated. The firemen came and it was a false alarm. We went back to the rooms and it went off again. We were asked to evacuate a second time but the cleaning crew told us not to pay attention and sure enough 1 minute later it stopped. The firemen came a second time and the assessment was that the equipment is outdated and needs to be updated. Kind of a crazy morning.
Close to all the places: downtown, beach, restaurants and shopping area Could hear everything inside the rooms. Staff kept asked four times about check out which is ridiculous service. The in room dining service was poor. Nobody answers phone call.
It was a comfortable place for our overnight in Vancouver. Close to restaurants and skyline terminals. It was very comfortable and clean and I loved it!
Great service from check in to check out. An unfortunate power outage was scheduled that day I arrived, but the power went on right when I came back to the hotel (2 hours ahead of schedule). Timing was perfect. The room was beautiful and simple, with very comfortable furniture and soft sheets. I ordered room service and they were quick and the tiramisu was delicious!
Great downtown location, within walking distance to everything The staff was, at times, short and unaccommodating. Our room key had to be replaced 3 times due to it not working in the elevator.
In front of the stadium and right around the corner from many many restaurants, stores and sights.
Loved the included bikes and steamroom It appeared that we arrived during a meal break or such as there was only one reservationist at the front desk who became overwhelmed trying to check in three groups while answering the phone, etc.
