On Kayak I booked an intermediate, Honda Civic or similar. When I arrived at the Dollar counter I was told I booked a compact, Chevy Spark. They said they have no relationship with Kayak and whatever it said on Kayak about the kind of car I'd get was meaningless. The counter agent gave me a free upgrade to a Toyota Corolla anyway, after I declined paying for an upgrade to a bigger car.Reviewed Aug 11 2026

I reserved and paid for a baguette SUV so they did not have one ready. Wouldn’t give me a time when I would be ready to offer me a minivan. Ended up with a Ford Explorer Which would’ve been fine had they gave me a better rate Paying for a big SUV and getting a midsize Guy acted like I was crazy for wanting it cheaper right It’s like ordering an 8 ounce fillet at a restaurant and they bring you 6 ounce and still want you to pay the 8 ounce price Could’ve easily been handled a lot betterReviewed Aug 7 2026
