The in person workers were pleasant enough but the car was terrible. We were told we’d have a 5 person 4 suitcase car. When we put our suitcases in the car we barely fit 3 people. The windshield wipers did not work and we had many days of scary rain. We had to hold them down while driving and it wasn’t safe. The stick shift didn’t work properly and the car pulled badly to the left. We tried many times to call customer service to exchange the car or return it to a different location because we were too scared to drive it. We were never able to get a hold of someone that could help us. One time we spoke to a person and she supposedly gave us an inside line but no one ever answered the line. We had locals try to help us, the two hotels tried but to no avail. We left the car parked at a hotel for 6 days without driving it because we couldn’t get back to where we rented it and we were too scared to drive it. The whole thing was awful and traumatizing. When we returned it we let them know about the difficulties but they didn’t seem to care. I won’t rent from them again. I hope they look it over before renting it out again but I doubt they will as they are so busy.
Cons:Take too long for serving customers at check in and check out. The airport pick up point information is not accurate. All customers were getting irritated with waiting time. I think its not staff issue, but seems like company policy might be too strict on staff on any mistakes. Will avoid in future
Pros:easy and fast.
There were no instructions for pickup, just an address that goes to the wrong location. There should be shuttle pickup mentioned, because there was one, but we didn't know about it and ended up walking 3 miles with luggage to get to the correct location.
Pros:easy pickup.
Cons:extremely long wait for shuttle. charged over GBP 300 for a tiny scuff which they insisted as a "deep scratch".
Pros:Very hapy with the car.
Cons:All of the people I interacted with at Heathrow made me feel like I was interrupting their day by renting a car from them. They spoke to me in grunts and wandered off without telling me where I am going. I waited an age for the shuttle at LHR with no way of contacting Dollar and finding the drop off point was difficult with an incomplete address. I won't be using Dollar again.
Pros:Reservation to pickup Saturday at 1000, drop off Bank Holiday Monday at 1000. Arrived told no car available and probably wouldn't get one. At 1130 they gave us a just returned car that was for someone else. Told us we couldn't return on Monday because of holiday, they'd be closed.
Cons:Don't allow return reservation if facility will be closed and no alternate drop-off. Cost me 26 pounds to park. DON'T OVERBOOK.
Pros:Car was good, price just OK
Cons:I had to take a larger car that I ordered. Waiting to get the car was longer than it should have been.
