Cons:When we booked on line, the additional required insurance fees for Spain were NOT explained, and the offer of optional insurance through Allianz was not clearly explained as being insufficient to cover local requirements. Plus, we booked a small car but we're given an unasked for upgrade to a much larger car that likely used more gas, but was for sure HIGHLY PROBLEMTIC for manoevering through and parking on tiny medieval Andalusian streets. We asked for a smaller car when the free upgrade was offered but were told that none were available, despite our reservation. This is the first time I have been dissatisfied with kayak, but I am. I thought I was renting a car for $87, not the $270, I ended up paying. Truth is needed.
Cons:The service at the Dollar in Santa Justa Train Station, Seville was abysmal. They were understaffed and the wait times were horrendous. So many little adjustments can be made to make things run more smoothly at that location but to list them all would take all day.
Pros:When you look up dollar for santa justa station on google you are directed to a thrifty that is a mile and a half away. If you rent with dollar or thrifty go to the hertz right next to the station because dollar and thrifty are both owned by hertz.
Cons:I didn't like that they told me the insurance I purchased with Kayak is no good and that they took €700 out of my checking account because I didn't buy the insurance from hertz. If you're going to buy insurance buy it with hertz. Either way it's all a scam and your normal insurance will cover you well enough but if anything does happen expect to lose some money until your insurance backs you up.
Pros:The actual car was fine.
Cons:Pick up: was difficult to find the rental lot and there were zero signs in the train station. Then the person tried to sell me super hard on insurance even though I had already bought it online. Finally, drop off was unacceptable. We drove around for over an hour trying to find the place and it didn't exist in the gps we bought from them! We're in a foreign country and couldn't use our phones either.
Pros:Car clean and in good working condition. Rented GPS gets an average rsting.

Cons:Dear Kayak, I rented a car via you in Sevilla at Dollar. It was supposed to be 30 dollars and an extra 9 dollars insurance via Allianz. Once I was there Dollar did not accept that insurance so i had to pay 92 euro's to them if i wanted to have an insurance. I did pay them because i did not want to drive a car uninsured in a foreign country but i think this is unacceptable. Please get back to me because I felt and still feel really bad about this. Pros:The car was clean, ran well, got good gas mileage, and was very reasonably priced.
Cons:The car had major dents and scratches on the driver's door.

Cons:The rental information does not disclose that the Dollar office is run by Hertz, thereby making it difficult to locate the office.
Pros:The car was new and clean. Rate was very good.
Cons:The Dollar Counter is handled by Hertz. Unfortunately, the Dollar name is not displayed outside the booths, so it took us awhile to check within the station and outside. Even the other counters did not know who handled Dollar.
Cons:The booking was a scam, they wanted to charge me twice the price of the insurance so in the end I went to europecar wiout booking and I paid half including all insurances
