Super staff! I called the staff about a noise I heard in my room; they investigated my complaint, discovered a defective refrigerator. It was immediately replaced and all was good to go.
Time with family. The bedspread and pillows
The location The motel staff said my credit card had been rejected! This room was prepaid! We were placed in a room with one bed even though I reserved a 2 bed room. We were placed in a room next to an exit and heard walking and slamming door all night!
Nice safe area, nice staff, good breakfast, although would have appreciated fresh fruit, big clean room, overall good experience would've liked fresh fruit in breakfast

Bed was comfortable, staff was nice and location was good. Big Spider web outside my window. I DON'T LIKE SPIDERS, creep me out. Little silverfish bug in the sink in the morning. SMASHED IT.
Indoor pool. On/off freeway easy. Choices of restaurants were great & the breakfast was delicious
Value - quality for the price. Location wasn't easy to find among othet apartment buildings.
Close to a variety of dining. Very clean room.
The hotel was in a nice location and it was a great room for the family. The buffet breakfast was delicious. The pool was very nice for my daughters, they loved it ! The only thing is that I wish that I had two TV's in my room.
Overall I was very pleased. Breakfast was not as expected, no pastry.
Artwork, amenities, atmosphere, and food
Clean comfortable and they had bath robes. Pleasant staff. Had to pay for parking but only a couple of bucks.
Thought we were getting a King but was two double beds. And the doubles were the same price as King. You would think for the price you pay it would at least have been two Queens. If we had not prepaid we would have gone to Best Western down the road. At least you would get King or Queen there. The faucet handle was sticky so must not have been cleaned properly and light bulb in lamp was burned out.
The unique glass art on each floor. We were on the 7th :). The elevators.
Rooms nicely furnished. Nice view. Quiet Personal in restaurant could have been a bit more attentive. Waited a long time for second cup of coffee. Busy talking with each other. Not many people in restaurant so they had time to check on us.
The rooms were nice and clean, with nice views of Mt. Rainier. The water didn't work either morning, so I was unable to shower.. only a small discount was given for this huge inconvenience. The oysters were served warm, so I had to send them back for fear of food poisoning. The elevators were broken and/or insufficient for a hotel with so many rooms. No one offered to help me with my bags. The refrigerator didn't work. I was surprisingly disappointed!
The feel, the professionalism of the staff, the beauty of the hotel. I enjoyed the artwork. I'd really prefer not to pay for parking, but it wasn't a horribly high rate either.
Cleanliness of hotel, and the room service food was good, until it upset my stomach, then I did not like it so munch. Cheap amenities. I have stayed at lesser hotels that had better beds, pillows, coffee makers, bathrooms and TVs. This hotel is far too overpriced. I think I paid for all the art work instead of a quality room. I don't mind paying $300 for a room, but it should include good quality bedding at the least. I will not stay at this hotel in the future.
Nice comfortable bed. We had no shower curtain, had to call front desk for 1.
They should not use any perfume or scent in cleaning the rooms. It was so strong, I had to get a different room which wasn't quite so bad.
Staff was really nice and friendly. Woke up a tad bit late called the front desk and they let us check out early. The only thing that bothered us was the heater was not working at all.
The reception area My room was dirty .... The carpet was torn ...the walls were patched not painted and the sheets had stains on them
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. My first room was right next to the freeway. I asked to switch and they didn't even flinch and switched me to another room quickly and courteously. Hotel needs some work. Pretty dated and could desperately use a refresh. Air Conditioning might have some sort of temperature limiter on it. Could never get the room cool enough to be comfortable. It would randomly shut off and I could never get it to kick on again no matter how I adjusted the temperature control so I turned it as low as it would go and every hour or so, it would kick on again for a brief period. Felt stuffy the whole time.
Nothing Hotel was very dirty and in desperate need of repair. Ceiling drywall was falling down due to a roof leak, paint was chipping off ceiling in bathroom, carpet and chair in room were stained. Nasty- I will not book another red lion room
Staff was friendly. I liked how you could not hear the other guest. I did not see Any bugs there were massive stains on the carpet the toilet looked as though someone tried to carve through the seat with a knife or key. The floors leaked water from the floors above in the bathroom. Breakfast ran out with no refill for guest ... Not worth the money and not as advertised
Throw they set up the room was incredible Room was 100% DIRTY. All towels had little stains on it and eo smells like cat!!!
We booked a hot tub suite, the room was very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. They had a sign saying the were going to be updating the hotel soon. The hot tub was fabulous. We arrived3d in town early so called to see if we could check in early. It was about 1pm, they said they didnt have a room ready but would call when it was. We never recieved a call so just waited in the parking lot. Finally we went in at 2:45 and still no room ready. They gave us coffee while we waited and room was ready at 3:15. The hallways and rooms are dated, paint splatter on all the tiles. The tvs in the room were low quality and tiny. The cable flickers. The bathroom had no door.
The setting was beautiful with view of the water from the room. The room was comfortable. The breakfast had quality food with a good variety of options. The parking was excellent.
The atmosphere was the best. Cool breeze off Pugent Sound, Jacuzzi tub facing the bay, fireplace to take the chill off when you get out of tub, high quality bedding, spectacular view. Enough said. Hot breakfast was above average, staff helpful and friendly. If you are the Tacoma area do not miss this hotel. It is well worth it. Only wish we could have stayed a second night.
This is a great location -- on the water, within walking distance of restaurants (choose Duke's). Rooms are nice, very clean, have huge TVs, comfy beds, and offer views. I've always been treated well here and only stay elsewhere if they don't have room or if the price is too high. A decent free Breakfast is also served in a great little dining area.
Don't stay on the south end of the building. Parking lot and train tracks are super loud. You'll get no sleep. The north end of the building is over the water and much quieter.
The location was great, with in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Easy access to the freeway. The building is in need of renovations. One elevator was out of service and the other was super slow and noisy. The bathrooms were clean, but very old and yellowed counters and floors.
Another guest was smoking marijuana in the hotel often during my stay, both in the hallway, and in the elevator (before the elevator broke and was not repaired for the rest of my stay). It was impossible not to notice, and nothing was done about it for the duration of the weekend.
Great staff. Very Clean. Good location. Elevator was a bit sketchy. Somethings were a bit dated.
Desk clerk was so rude and unhelpful on the phone, we canceled our reservation.
a very comfortable bed that was welcome after driving halfway across the country. at check-in, there was a mistake with my booking (on the part of the third-party website i used), but the folks at the front desk didn't blink an eye and fixed it immediately. breakfast was pretty standard. location was perfect for walking to the downtown events we were attending. the a/c couldn't keep up with the 90-degree highs, so when the sun was on our side of the building, the curtains had to remain closed and even then it was like a greenhouse in our room. luckily we weren't there most of the daylight hours. the elevators are a bit old and slow. wish there was a pool.
We liked the location. We could walk to coffee and downtown. The pool was under construction but the staff gave us free passes to the ymca. The rooms were nice and beds were comfortable. There was a smell in the lobby that I didn't like but that smell wasn't in the room. The breakfast was decent, eggs were fair but waffle were good.
The breakfast was completely indelible
Elevators were super slow and/or broken for my stay! Hiked the stairs to the 8th floor multiple times- good exercise!
Great location, central to the Capitol and downtown Olympia. Comfortable bed, clean room The complimentary breakfast could have been better.
walkable to all of downtown Olympia Rooms are showing their age. The park across the street is a homeless Mecca.
Great value, great location and views from floor to ceiling windows We opened the sliding door to the small balcony and realized our 1 month old son could probably easily fit through the railing. Just be careful with kids on the balcony!
The room was very clean, staff was very friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was great, filling and the ladies working it were wonderful. The tub was very slow draining. When running the water to prepare for shower tub was filling so you're standing in dirty water and can't truly rinse your ankles and feet. The toilet was also slow in draining after flushing it. The water would rise almost to
i requested the double queen beds and unfortunately one of the beds were caving and it was very uncomfortable. i was pretty upset with myself first and foremost because i forgot to call the front desk about it. but i feel like the hotel staff should've been aware of this in the first place before checking guests in that room. the room i stayed in was in room 538. anyway, hopefully they'll have that bed replaced!
The room was nice! Would definitely stay again! Would have liked a restaurant on site....or more food options, rather than having to leave the hotel!!
The breakfast food didn't cut it for me:(
The bartender had a very very poor attitude. threw menus and napkins down. seemed very annoyed that we wanted to order food.
Friendly desk staff. Good room. Only a thin blanket on the bed and I don't think any extras were in the closet, which is not ideal if you like to sleep in a colder room with heavier blankets.
It was a pleasant stay, everyone was very nice hotel was good nice view of downtown Tacoma reminded me of downtown Portland.
Facility was clean and the staff was friendly. AC system was not functioning well and the public areas and hallways were hot and stuffy. The elevators are exposed and the afternoon sun would heat them up like a sauna. Rooms were also a bit on the small size-- especially when travelling with a family.
clean room friendly and informative staff quiet room which I requested even the iron and ironing board were clean and worked well not much to complain about maybe better water pressure in shower and of course could have been cheaper rate but that is always the case
The hotel was very clean, check in and check out were so simple. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was amazing!
Good Location, quiet, comfortable bed and room, pretty good meal. The room I had was pretty run down - large cigarette burn on rug and ripped shower curtain made it look pretty tacky.
I loved the fitness room. The bedding could be improved, however the establishment was nice for a 3 star hotel
The room was very well appointed, and clean. The view from the balcony was stunning. The breakfast buffet that came with the room was less than appetizing.
I think I should have been told before making reservation that the hotel would be doing major renovations while I was there and that several normal services would be lacking or less than usual. Because of construction, there was not really restaurant service onsite. Also, on Monday morning I was woken up by construction noise at 6:45 AM !!!! And, for all that - the room rate was NOT reduced from their usual rates.
I was concerned when I first pulled up to the hotel as it is obviously dated. It was very clean, however and the rooms were updated. The bed was comfortable, the room large and the standard amenities were included (fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer, etc.). I didn't deal with the staff other than when I checked in and out, but they were friendly. When I checked in the price for one of the nights was higher than I'd been quoted for my reservation months before. The desk clerk didn't hesitate; he said he'd take care of it and made the adjustment to give me the lower rate to match the other dates of my stay. I appreciated that very much, as some other places are not so accommodating. Also, I didn't have a chance to use them, but they had several nice bicycles available for complimentary rentals. I'll stay here again when I visit family, and I hope to have time to use the bikes the next time.
Hotel was a bit tricky to find, very nice accommodations. Employees I came in contact with were friendly and helpful. Room was very nice however the hard flooring made it feel a bit institutional. An area rug of some sort would have made a big difference in this feeling. Institutional feel of the room. Needs area rug or something to soften the hard surfaces
Nice area, views, ambience and value-- No coffee in rooms-- available at front door coffee stand for sale or tucked away in back, almost in dining room, is a help yourself pot.
The bed and pillows were very comfy. Lots of amenities. We appreciated the in-room microwave and refrigerator. We felt that the on-site restaurant was over-priced and opted to eat off-site. The description indicated a carpeted room but the floors were hardwood laminate. The picture that accompanied the description accurately showed the correct flooring.
Staff was friendly, room was clean, booking was easy, good value for the money. Probably a really nice choice for a conference (I was there with family), and it's in a nice setting. Food was reasonably priced and the bar seemed like a decent place to hang even on a Monday evening. Would definitely consider again next time I'm in Olympia. Bathroom was fairly small for a double room, food service in the restaurant was mediocre (but was partially comped), and it would have been nice if basic meds (cough drops, aspirin) were available (even at a cost) at the front desk instead of way down the street at a slightly sketchy gas station.
It was comfy cheep and clean
Jazmine, at the front desk was so helpful. I had booked a different hotel and it was unsafe and dirty. Jazmine greeted me with a smile and hello and made me feel welcome. I was very frustrated but she was able to claim me and gave me my room. She even booked my next stay in Tacoma. A high five to Jazmine for her incredible customer service No comment
It was close to the dome. That's it. The front desk staff looked like they were straight out of prison. They were rude and not accommodating. We asked for an extra pillow and they made us wait until 11pm to get one. The soap was open in our room. Not a huge deal. Overall I'd say this hotel needs major upgrades. It should have been a $75 stay at the most. Not over $100. It served our purpose. But would not stay here again.
The walls are thin. Loud noise at night.
The free breakfast was decent, the hotel seemed clean and for the most part accommodating...For the price in the area it was inexpensive but still nice enough. It seemed outdated, paint and tile were chipped in the bathroom. The staff ignored me when I can to check in and instead took a phone call of someone else asking really stupid questions. In their defense there was only one person and the desk and she did say it was her first time at that particular property.
Rooms were spacious and well appointed. Very quiet even next to the freeway. Staff was very helpful, especially in the restaurant. Hotel is a bit dated, shows some wear, ventilation system was noisy.
Lounge was closed a little to early
NOTHING! THEY WERE NICE ABOUT TRYING TO GIVE US ANOTHER ROOM BUT THEY WERE JUST AS BAD AS THE ONE WE HAD. I WILL NEVER GO BACK NOR EVER RECOMMEND IT. WE GOT A 10$ DISCOUNT FOR OUR ROOM AND WE PAID WAY TO MUCH. THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE SCREENS ON THE WINDOWS.
A place to sleep Smelled like smoke bad, set off my sons allergies. night desk agent not friendly or helpful
You can tell someone tried to make it nice at one point. Wifi wasn't bad First off I want to point out this is my first review of a hotel ever and I stay in one every week for work. First thing as you get outside of the hotel the air smells terrible. Did every day for our entire stay, which ruins the pool also. Even though it had been updated, it was incredibly dirty. They must not own a single vacuum cleaner because the entire hotel floor was covered dirt, debris, etc. From a distance it looks nice but as soon as you get close its nasty. Once we checked in our bed had a lot of long black hair in it. Obviously not cleaned. He switched our room and of course the hall on the new floor was also disgusting, so at this point I had no confidence in cleanliness of anything which takes all comfort away. We tried going down to the bar and the beer was flat and warm. I couldn't bring myself to try the food after everything else I saw that week. Homeless people hang out in front and in the parking lot. Terrible part of Tacoma, definitely not a safe place to be out.
Clean comfortable bed
Hilton gave my room away because they never received the reservation from Kajak. Total disaster.
The location was excellent. We did not have have much time to explore nearby, but it was a great location. The cleanliness of the hotel and rooms was excellent. We liked the dual sink vanity, the overall layout of the room. Shower tub combo, better to have a "deluxe" shower who uses the tub in a hotel? a door separating the two rooms. rm 215 offers no view to speak of.
Nice hotel with high end look and feel. Comfortable beds and clean room with friendly and professional staff. Cafe in the hotel had very limited breakfast menu, and kitchen was shut down for breakfast when we went there at 10AM. Found a breakfast place about 3 blocks away, but would be nice to have breakfast at the hotel.
They accommodated a special request with no hesitation. The room was clean and spacious. The lobby is gorgeous. Free WiFi and breakfast which was good. No complaints and would stay there again.
I couldn't believe how nice the hotel was for the price. Very good customer service at the front desk, made me feel welcome and were personable. One of the better hotel breakfasts I have had.
Quiet and clean. Pool, fee wifi in room, breakfast.
Conveninece fron the I-5 Walking distance to a restaurant. Comfortable beds. Clean, Cookies at recetion a nice touch. Desk helpful Bathroom fixtures a little dated
The beds were comfortable the staff was very nice and the location was convenient. The breakfast was the best I've ever seen at a hotel. This election was superb and the staff was excellent at replacing items that were missing. I'll definitely stay here again in the future. The value for the money was definitely worth it! The entire experience was great so there isn't anything that I didn't like.
This is one of the best hotels I have ever used. The staff could not have been more helpful, friendly and eager to make us feel welcome. Everything was clean and comfortable. The location was convenient. No security concerns. I would absolutely stay here again. Nothing.
The bed was comfortable and the desk people were really sweet. Check in was friendly, check out was perfect. Very polite, professional and happy to help. There was hair in the shower, the room smelled like smoke and despite the do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping entered the room four times in one morning. I had to yell, I am still in here while clutching blankets around my, ahem, birthday pajamas. Also, all but one entrance was gated and chained when I arrived after my event, which no one warned me about. I drove around in a bit of a circle until I found the one open and honestly felt a bit shaken walking from my car into the hotel. Despite the obvious need for strict security, I did feel that my car would be safe, since I could barely figure out how to get to the lot.
Hotel is very clean staff was very helpful breakfast was awesome Location was a little hard to find and the security while feeling safe made you nervous that they needed so much
Overall it was great. Very safe, nice staff, clean and comfy beds and rooms. Really liked the parking situation. Only a couple of downsides: tv channel selection was mediocre. The breakfast was also limited. Slightly overpriced honestly.
Access to the hotel was very easy. The front counter staff was very nice and the rooms were clean. The morning breakfast was a joke. Not stocked at all, even with a staff worker there. No butter for toast, no milk for cereal, no spoons, and the eggs sat empty for 20 minutes with a room full of people.
The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. The neighborhood is not the greatest.
The front desk host help as much as they could for what they had to work with The first room I was put in I walked into an the bed was tore apart sheets all messed up on a chair bed up against the wall an box springs on their sides an got moved from a king size.beddroom bed with jetted tube down to a queen double bed room beddroom with no jetted tube
+Price was good. +Location was okay. -The room stank! Smelled like mildew! -There was a lot of smoke in the next room and in the hallways. -The walls and doors seem very thin ... heard a lot of noise and banging doors from the nearby rooms.
I liked the location and the fact that hooters was next door and it was convenient to be close to the locations I was visiting. There was blood stains on the sheets. Bath had high water pressure & sink had low water pressure.
There isn't nothing to like here My car was stolen the people works to here didn't help the room was nasty didn't get no sleep
The staff was friendly but not very helpful The room smelled like urine. The carpet was disgusting and couldn't walk on it in bare feet. There were fleas in the room
Not much Breakfast area on 2nd floor not much direction. Bad remodel. Not very clean. Employees very robotic.
Found old pizza in my microwave
The staff was friendly. The pool was clean and the rooms were newly remodeled. The location was convenient. The parking lot was littered with trash. The parking lot should be better monitored to keep non quests from hanging out there.
The staff, especially the woman named (I believe?) Breonna, were very nice and helpful. We were there for seven days because we were looking at moving to Lacey/Olympia from Ohio and they were very informative! The cleaning was lacking at times. There were two days that the houskeeping didn't come, and I wasn't really sure why.
No screen on window...like to open for fresh air
Bed were comfy and room was nice The breakfast if you can call it that was bad. Only the minimum and cheapest of cheap. The cereal containers were dirty and had spider webs on them. They looked like they had never been moved. The coffee was more like water. The bagel and cream cheese had a nasty taste to them. I stay for three days and was the same each time I went back. It was a hot the days i was there and the only air conditioning that was on was in rooms. The the hall ways had a funky smell to them.
The bathroom was remodeled so it was nice to take a hot shower after a long day of traveling. The surrounding neighborhood had a lot of dining options and were within walking distance. The employee who checked me out was very friendly and professional. The employee who checked me in was inhospitable. Not once did she smile at me, and her attitude was one of indifference, bordering on unfriendliness. I'm sure the cover throw and sheet was cleaned, but there were small stains on them that made me push them both aside. I could hear the occupant on the floor above me thundering around across his/her room all night long. Breakfast was bare with only few options for hot food (toast and oatmeal). Upon entering the hotel, there was a musky smell that I could not pinpoint as to what it was, but was quite unappealing.
There's a McDonalds in front of it, which can be helpful, and it's fairly close to the airport. Rooms are fine and spacious. Breakfast room is too tiny, you can barely walk around to get your food. At least nobody complained about me getting food to my room. The breakfast itself could be better.
Staff was friendly Location Room needed vacuuming No iron in room No hair dryer in room Breakfast was really slim and was done by 9am No coffee or tea in lobby Homeless looking man in parking lot 2 days in a row
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, convenient location. Room was very stuffy. There was air conditioning but it was so loud I couldn't sleep with it on. Very limited fitness facility.
That I had a place to sleep after being road weary. I was appalled by the service I received from the staff from check-in to being overcharged, to being monitored while I ate breakfast to ensure I didn't take too much.
Room was clean, bed was comfy. Great location Continental breakfast lacked protein
