Pros: Loved how clean it was, the staff was super friendly. We both got a free drink for waiting a little extra for our room, our room was spectacular. Valet staff were great too. The overall stay was awesome!!!
Cons: The bed was a little uncomfortable. But that's the only complaint from us.
Pros: So close to everything
Cons: Directions and signage are not easily understood or noticed
Pros: The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to every thing. Room was beautiful and clean. The shower felt so good after a long day on the beach in the sun. The beds were comfy but the pillows could be a little harder.
The staff was amazing...always pleasant.
The free breakfast was far more than we expected and was a great way of starting the day.
Love the valet parking. ...very convenient.
We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
Cons: Pillows, not that I hated them...just that they need to be alittle harder....not enough neck support.

Pros: We really liked the hotel. It was a convenient location, right off 95 on our way home from Maine. Clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly.
Cons: There was only ONE thing that bothered me and had we stayed more than one night would have driven me absolutely crazy: the floor above us. Our room was located on the bottem level of the hotel, room 125. The room directly above us has the creakiest floors which left me wide awake listening to the people above getting ready in the morning. Not a problem if they got up later or I was a deep sleeper, but the floor boards started their symphony at 5:30 am, far too early for my vacation.
Pros: The manager Steven went well above and beyond the service of any other hotel experience I've had and I travel quite frequently for work. I will certainly be back again. The breakfast is a great bonus!
Pros: The Port Inn in Portsmouth, NH is a well kept, clean place to stay. Convenient to the highway and to downtown Portsmouth with a very welcoming and friendly staff.
Pros: We loved everything about this place! When we drove up I thought we were going into a motel from the 50's, which wasn't a good thing in my opinion - I didn't have fond memories of those rooms. However, when we opened our door we loved the room! It was just like a boutique hotel room - it was really nice. The staff was awesome!
Cons: I probably wouldn't like walking to the office/breakfast room in the cold months, but in May it was perfect.
Pros: They were so good to our dog. We would stay there again

Pros: Very clean and modern, friendly staff and accessable to dowtntown
Pros: Temporarily parked by entrance (20 minutes) while we got our room and unpacked. Valets were pleasant and professional.
Hotel location was excellent and Portsmouth is very walkable.
Cons: At this price, we expected a complimentary breakfast.
Expensive valet only parking. We found our own parking nearby for free.
Pros: I really enjoyed the food and cocktails while watching football. There was a server by the name Anca who took great care of me. The rooms where very clean and it's walking distance to everything.
Cons: Parking stinks
Pros: I would like to recognize Dimple Patel and Natalia for their exceptional service. Each encounter was so pleasant, welcoming and engaging. I travel often for work and never have I encountered such exceptional service on a consistent basis. Dimple and Natalia are what made my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Portsmouth Downtown enjoyable, not the hotel amenities nor the look of the hotel.
Pros: Very clean and a great location
Cons: Valet parking was the only option
Pros: Loved being close to everything, but by far the staff at the desk, valet, and housekeeping was above and beyond super nice...
Cons: I just wished I could have turned the heat down more than to 65, without turning it off. it was very hot in the room..
Cons: Unable to stay here because they had no confirmed reservation
Pros: Location was fantastic....right in the heart of Portsmouth.
Pros: Overall nice place
Cons: No bath tub!
Cons: I thought our room smelled and felt a bit musty.

Pros: The room was spacious and clean and the staff was very friendly. Good solid value.
Cons: Nothing to really complain about.
Cons: Breakfast staff had difficulty keeping up with demand. Items ran out throughout our brief visit. They made every effort when it was brought to their attention, but we had to bring things to their attention quite a bit. (The coffee is out. The fruit has run out. The waffle mix is empty. There is no syrup. The decaf is out. There is still no fruit. There are no bowls. The regular coffee is out again…)
Pros: It was a very quiet location but very close to downtown. The rooms were clean and large. The breakfast was very good.
Cons: The breakfast area was too small for the amount of people there at the time. The one woman cleaning the area could not keep up with getting the tables clean and restocking the food.
Pros: I enjoyed the stay, plan to come back.
Pros: Quiet setting among the trees.
Nice hot breakfast, at least on Sunday.
Cons: The towels in the pool area were tiny and as rough as 60 grit sandpaper.
The towels in the room were a little softer (200 grit) but still small.
Not something you can change now, but design would be better if bathroom were accessible without having to go through the bedroom.

Pros: The pool area is beautiful and kept very clean.
Cons: The food at the Restaurant, Salt was terrible.
Pros: Great location and views, Hotel was also beautiful. Front desk helpful.Room small but well appointed. Bathroom was great. I had a 80 min massage and it was fabulous! Indoor pool was also very nice. It was too cold out to use the outside pool. I did not use the restaurants but they both looked nice but pricy.
Cons: This is really picky but there was dust and cobwebs in my bathroom and stains on the window blinds, normally I would never complain about this but when Im paying 369.00 a night I expect it to be Perfect.
Pros: It is a well restored old hotel that is beautiful inside and out, with beautiful gardens. It was very clean and we could not hear other guests. The location on the island just adds to the charm.
Pros: Cozy, well decorated room.
Cons: Needed a small fridge for medication.

Cons: The photo showed a jacuzzi. We wanted a hotel with a jacuzzi and that's why we stayed here. It was very misleading - the jacuzzi was cemented in - no longer available.
Pros: I liked the very quiet area, i don't remember ever hearing any noise. the breakfast they served was excellent, with a great selection. the staff was also great, and very helpful when we asked to switch rooms.
The food for breakfast could use some improvement in quality--especially those scrambled eggs for breakfast! I'd rather pay extra for good quality food than the free stuff of low quality, full of sugar and additives that I suspect is not entirely 'real.'
Pros: Spacious, clean and quiet.
Pros: We go for the pool!
Cons: Evrything was perfect! Always is.
Great place. Thanks for the nice service.
Pros: Friendly even on a cold snowy night. The pool was extra special for the family.
Cons: It was super
Near restaurants and Starbucks. Right off highway, but not too close. Quiet.
Pros: Convenient to highway. Clean w a good breakfast.
Cons: Light from hall very noticeable through door edges.
Well kept and clean and easy access . Speedy checkin

Pros: Very friendly, small hotel. Charming and clean. Plenty of secondary space to hang out outside of the hotel room.
Pros: Treated like old friends from the moment we stepped through the door! Bob, the front desk clerk, was AMAZING! So friendly and helpful! The room was small, but beautifully appointed. Even though we went to the restaurant a bit earlier than our reservation time, they never batted an eye! Seated us promptly and the wait staff was terrific!
This place is now definitely in our top 5 all time favorites! (The other 4 are out of the country!!)
Cons: What's not to like, seriously?!?!
Pros: Clean rooms and common areas
Restaurant on site
Cons: Very uncomfortable mattress
They have actual keys with a wooden key chain for your room, which are a pain to carry and the locking mechanisms are tricky to operate
Pros: I loved my stay and that is where I will stay on all my trips to Hampton. I have no complaints.
A great choice for a stay in Hampton, Lamie's Inn and The Old Salt Restaurant features a nightclub. Guests can visit the 24-hour fitness center for a workout or grab a bite to eat at The Old Salt Restaurant, which serves seafood and is open for lunch and dinner. A bar/lounge and a garden are other highlights, and rooms at this Victorian inn offer up nice touches like pillowtop beds with premium linens.
Pros: The breakfast was great, staff was very nice, the room size was just right for us. Great location to downtown and parking garage since parking is off site. Will definitely choose this hotel again.
Pros: Great location within walking distance! We came as a staycation to go out with friends we haven't seen in a long time!
Cons: We had three different interactions with the staff, and all three were very disappointing. We had drinks with friends (who were also hotel guests) and asked for extra glasses, which came an hour later, and the staff member who dropped them off just had a terrible attitude. It was obvious he was unhappy about it. Came back from dinner and drinks to a very rude third shift member who told us we had a noise complaint and grilled us about who was staying in the room. We hadn't been in the room since 7pm, so I don't know how that was even possible. Then we were given a late checkout till 12:30pm and were getting ready when a very rude house keeper can to the door at 11am and told us we should have left already. We explained and she scowled and stormed off! Needless to say we will not be back.

Pros: Very clean rooms and bathrooms. Complimentary breakfast.
Pros: The Breakfast was great and the room was nice.
Pros: The staff
Cons: There was supposed to be a pool, but it was getting worked on.
Pros: Room Layout, size, cleanliness and hotel location.
Cons: No Bar
Pros: I liked the attitude of the staff, as they were extremely nice and willing to help.
Pros: It was nice and clean every thing was perfect . I do not like to go to hotel because of so many things they say and talk how the place are so nasty and filthy I did not want to go hotel but this was perfect.
Cons: The only thing I did not like was there was a baby in the next door and he or she cry and cry and also making so much bunging it was distebing but so fair every thing was okey.
Pros: Great breakfast spread
Pros: Liked the suite we stayed. Very large and clean! Liked the pool and hot tub. Service was great.
Cons: Would have liked a better selection for breakfast and better stash of towels in the pool room. Nobody offered to come in and make our beds and leave fresh towels.
Pros: Clean, comfortable with friendly staff.
Cons: Although the room looked clean, it had a musty smell when we first arrived, after the air was on for a bit it went away. Also the walls are thin, we were there during school vacation week and we could hear the teens running and yelling half the night.
Pros: Location, room layout, cost
Cons: I find it offensive that this hotel allowed pets (a golden retriever) into the breakfast area. As far as I could tell, this was a pet and not a service dog. I consider this to be an unhygienic practice. Staff should have mentioned it to the guest.
Pros: The suite was outstanding for our family. Pet friendly and most important people friendly.

Pros: The ambiance was excellent. I loved being greeted by Lincoln.
Cons: Would have been nice to have coffee available earlier then 8:00 am.
It was the most comfortable welcoming place. Staff was absolutely hospitable and accommodations were A+ We stayed in the Iris room which had its own private bath and jacuzzi tub.
Pros: The location was what I liked the best, it was less than 2 minutes to the Ocean.
Cons: Loved it all!
Charming. Quiet. Only half a mile from the beach. Better suited to couples or families with older children (lots of nick knacks for the young ones to break). Loved the little house dog Lincoln.
Pros: Made to order breakfast was delicious. Cutest little house dog named Lincoln met us at the door and saw us off. Beautiful, comfortable common spaces. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: The room was a bit hot.
Location was really good if you want a little more quiet...off of the strip of cheesy and congested hampton beach hotels, though it was a brief walk/drive from the beach! The house was very pretty and pleasant. The owner was very welcoming, I felt really relaxed while I was there. It was a no fuss place to stay. The room was super clean (I recommend the Iris Room), it wasn't a huge suite, but it had a really big bathroom with an awesome jacuzzi! PERFECT! The room was a little bit warm(window units) but the fan made it a little bit cooler. We definitely wouldn't hesitate coming back and staying again :)
Pros: Great location!Walk or drive to the beach easily. Very clean, nice staff!
Cons: The breakfast was alright, nothing too special- eggs OR pancake/french toast We could hear doors slamming in the hallway here and there, unusually loud The owner wasn't there when we were ready to check out, had to search to someone to ask

Pros: A great central location to all surrounding cities and highways. The complimentary wifi was a huge plus! Margarita's was right in the parking lot.
Cons: Our bed was made a bit sloppy, the breakfast was not very good but they did have alternative breakfast options than a hot meal.
Pros: Very convenient location.
Pros: Free breakfest was great.
Cons: Moved us out of the room we had ordered to a different one
Suites with separate bedroom and kitchen were perfect for traveling with children. Easy access off expressway and close to areas of interest. Otherwise quiet location despite the kids in town for baseball tourney.

Cons: Too many teenagers in pool Friday night. Very loud. Not the hotel's fault though.

Pros: It was clean, friendly staff, free hot and cold breakfast, 10 minutes away from downtown Portsmouth, free parking, indoor pool, exercise facility, minutes away from I-95, a food market around the corner if you forgot anything, about 12 minutes to Kittery ME.
Cons: It was a good hotel.
Pros: Loved the swimming pool, hot tub, soft pillows, shower!!
Cons: If they had more tag one shuttle it would've been perfect!
Pros: It was close to downtown Portsmouth.
Cons: The young woman checking me in didn't find my reservation for a long while... The room I was offered smelled of smoke, I complained to the manager and was promised a smoke free room for the next night. I was also promised that I didn't have to pay for the first night, which was correct. The next day I removed all my belongings before leaving the hotel, when I came back in the evening to receive my smoke free room, I was told that the hotel was full! The manager was away - and the man handling our matter could not promise another free night in the same room that smelled of smoke, where I stayed the previous night - although the plaque on the desk promised, "If you're not fully satisfied, your stay is on us". We decided to leave the hotel!!

Cons: Pool was under construction for renovations, and we had really been eagerly awaiting this part of the trip with two little kids.
No continental breakfast - only their restaurant with overpriced and far underperforming food.
Pros: Rooms were nice and clean.
Cons: I was on club level and the ice machine and people walking around were very loud. Did not feel private. Guy at the desk was very non customer service oriented. As I found with most people at that desk. Valet guy was very nice. Pay decent money you expect a little more courtesy. I do not expect to stay there again.
Pros: Very clean, nice room, great location
Cons: Fire alarm went off, girls soccer team staying near us was very loud and rude, yelling in hallway past quiet hours, the door to our room did not close all the way.

Pros: The beds were the best I've ever slept in - actually called the hotel & got the info to buy one direct from Simmons thru the Hotel Bed purchase program - apparently I'm not the only one who was amazed by these beds!
The rooms were quite large, well laid out, and included a good-sized refrigerator & microwave, coffee maker, etc. The bathroom was large and the shower was great.
The pool & hot tub are in the basement - so having some fun until 10 or 11pm is not going to disturb anyone's sleep.
Overall, fantastic. We were pleasantly surprised as we didn't expect all of this from a Comfort Inn. We will be staying at more in the future!
