I loved the room! Very clean and fresh. I enjoyed the staff, they were very welcoming and engaging. I recommend every/anyone to give this place a shot, because my stay was sadly not as long but it was well worth it for the time i was there! I was a little upsetting not to have an indoor pool or jacuzzi, after a nice work out.
The only problem I had was that they didn't have any cleanser bottles in the gym facility. So I was unable to sanitize equipment before and after use. I asked the girl at the spa desk and she said they clean everything at the end of the day, and was surprised that I was asking for cleanser. EVERY gym I'm ever been to has cleanser so I found this to be very odd at such a nice place.
Rooms were nice None of the restaurants were serving good during a storm. They wouldn't provide food to me but took care of their other guests that were staying in a business conference group.
Came into town for a concert and experience was great, shuttle service and awesome buffet.
location is very close to a concert venue but they did not have a shuttle to take you there. we had to pay 20 one way for a cab that took us about a quarter of a mile. Because of the location close to the concert venue we chose this hotel. It would be very convenient for the guests if they could shuttle you the quarter to a half of a mile to the venue.
We stayed at Hollywood Casino Hotel because we where attending a concert at the amphitheater. It was very convenient and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hallway carpet really needed cleaning.
The bars in the casino are nice and the food is good The pillows were really hard and not comfortable.
convenient yet overpriced i felt hotel personell must of been having a bad day is all i can say . snippy
It was great. Good food. Slots were loose. Room very comfortable We had to leave
The staff was amazing! Everyone was polite, respectful, and made the trip enjoyable! The food that was served was so delicious at the cafe and Giddos! The room had wallpaper peeling and the door to the safe was broken. The safe wouldn't open either. The bathtub was clogged with hair and someone from maintenance had to come get it. The price for movies to rent was rediculous as well. 17$ to rent a movie is way too much!
The house keeper stole money from hotel room. Security did not care nor make an effort to help! Horrible!
Room was way over priced. Phone didn't work. Very small room. Was suppose to get a smoking room and was given non smoking. Will never stay there again.
The staff was very friendly and the property was clean and smelled fresh. The location was good. I would stay here again. The only downfall which isn't that big a deal was that there was no refrigerator or microwave in the room.
We were very impressed with the hotel and found it ideal for trips into St Louis and surrounding area and would not hesitate to recommend to others. None
Staff were exceptionally friendly and responsive. Very comfortable Carpets were drab.
Close to freeway This hotel was a dump. Hair on bedsheet, dirty towel and hair in bathroom, dirty toilet, hotel customer service agent was unapologetic that the room was dirty. Changed the room to another room upstairs and wrinkled(?) bed sheet and hair on bed sheet again. Thanks for nothing.
The staff was fantastic and took great care of us. They were very friendly and accommodating when we were trying to order out for the night. The rooms themselves were a little too dark for my taste when it came to color and lighting. Otherwise it was great!
Great value. Clean room & great breakfast. Check-in and breakfast staff very friendly and helpful. Wifi so slow it was not worth using.
I liked that it was close to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. Within walking distance and close to airport.
Gym, pool, rooms, and breakfast. Didn't feel over crowded Old soap and shampoo left over in the room
Very satisfied with the hotel. N/A
The staff were the best, they helped us in so many ways. No
Quiet area. Newly remodeled Maid service could have been better.
Even the normal sized double rooms were very spacious and clean. It was a great stay. I wish the breakfast hours were longer.
We went to St, Louis for three days. The first night we stayed at the River City Casino and Hotel, it costes us 130$ for two queen bed. The room was very nice and clean. The next day we stayed here, not much cheaper the quality is totally different. It was clean but I didnt like the interior of the room.
Staff at hand to make stay as comfortable as possible N/A
My son and I enjoyed the pool when we were able to use it, which, was the primary reason I chose this particular hotel. The photographs were accurate and we were happy with the facility overall. There was some kind of wrestling tourney over the weekend and the hotel felt overrun with inconsiderate teenage kids who had to be told not to slam doors and run up and down the hallways, not the fault of the hotel staff. However, when I called the front desk to have them contact one of the event group's sponsors, the situation appeared to lessen. I would suggest for the facility, added consideration for either efficient shower heads for improved water pressure or another water heater. The hot water lasted long enough for my son's shower and ran out before I could finish mine. Cold ending, slightly uncomfortable.
The Room was large and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also updated. The complimentary breakfast was awesome! The curtains look liked they had blood splatter on them from a crime screen. The carpet was extremely gross. The furniture had holes and was old and not appealing. Didn't like the amount of children in the pool past 9:30 pm. Made it uncomfortable so the group of adults didn't swim. I checked in in the morning online, received a text message stating my room would be ready at 3:00 pm. Checked in at 3:30 to be told I no longer had a room. Then the front desk charged me for the room twice! I kept showing him my text message stating I had a room and he insisted I didn't. The front desk the following morning said they fixed it, but I have yet to see a refund on my card.
Nothing. The room was just like every other hotel room. The fact you advertised on-site spa services that was our main reason for booking, only to find after checking in that they haven't offered spa services in over a year! Not to mention the dance nationals event going on at the hotel and the dozens of little kids crowding the hot tub so that we couldn't even enjoy that much of our stay. The staffs solution was to buy us dinner of which we still had to pay for our 2 drinks and desserts and they couldn't even get that part right and had to be remade. Highly disappointed in the hotel and your outdated information that you boast.
The rooms were incredibly clean and the the night manger Dee, was willing to make me happy. The table leg was ready to fall off, many of the rooms had no airconditoners for heat in them, the cord to plug in my son's cell phone fell out of the wall, the outlet on the lamp got this phone connector so hot when he disconnect his phone from it he got a blister, there was no conditioner in the rooms, the beds are on wooded frames and very uncomfotable, the microwave had a faulty cord, so when you used it, the back of it sparked, and the rooms smelled like poop. After changing rooms 3 times, we finally found a room that we felt safe in and smelled acceptable.
The hotel is an long ages hotel, people looks like tires.
The proximity to the airport and parking on site are the big pluses. There is a nice Indian restaurant on the top floor of the adjoining property. The place is a little worn and the rooms are basic. If you are just looking for a place close to the airport at a reasonable cost, this is a good option. If you are concerned with the decor and upscale amenities you should look elsewhere.
Location was good, but that's it There was makeup all over the pillow cases and it took multiple calls and two hours to get new cases (proving that they had not been washed), and the breakfast was really low quality.
The hotel is under renovations, and the lobby looked really nice as that was the only finished part! Found razor blades behind the nightstand. There was blood on the bathroom floor. Plug prongs were ripped out and stuck in the electrical sockets. They say non-smoking but it smelled like a 50 year old smokers house! I am happy they are doing renovations as this place is terrible. Just please don't give out the bad rooms or at least close when you are renovating.
Beds were horrible
The staff was overwhelmingly nice. Very attentive in lounge area and always refilling soda/drinks and clearing tables. Only 13 min from airport. Plenty of food and shopping within 1 mi.
I used Hotel. Com to book the original trip I had to extend my stay was charged 20% more by hotel.Com than the hotel. Last time I use them.
We had a hockey team stay. The pool was great and we also stayed in the breakfast area all evening talking with parents and kids playing games. Also, large enough to order pizzas for all. Staff very friendly and help with pizza recommendations.
The room was nice and clean. The breakfast was awesome and the cook was really nice. We didn't see the housekeeping but they were awesome too, our 2 year old has some some drawings on the back of some cards that would be thrown away on their own but when they cleaned they saved them! We also brought her blanket with and they folded it so nicely with the corner turned for presentation haha. We thought it was cute. The desk staff were nice too, we didn't have many questions for them because we were familiar with the area but we did over hear them giving someone else tips on their favorite places to eat and go with a map. We didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked nice and clean too. We had a nice stay and next time we visit we will probably use them again. The vending machine near the desk accepts cards if you don't have cash but didnt have a notice anywhere that the $1.75 drink would be $3.00 for using a card. it only showed that price when the drink was already being vended.
Quiet area off the interstate. Felt comfortable and safe. Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious and clean with plenty of amenities. Would recommend to anyone!
The employees were somewhat casual but competent and very friendly. Saturday free breakfast was better than average and very good. Sunday the sausage & eggs were almost cold. The room has a heavy smell of mildew. The carpeting is worn out and was filthy. The toilet handle was broken (I fixed it.). I've stayed at discount motels for half this rate which were somewhat superior.
My family and I had a wonderful stay. The beds were clouds. It was quiet and clean in our room and the location felt safe and was beautiful. We loved the breakfast, it tasted great and had a lot of variety for every picky eater! Our room was straightened and replenished each day.. even the toilets cleaned! and carpets vacuumed.
Clean, safe, close to I-64, (NB access was convoluted), fairly new construction. Limited cable access, poor mattress, easy to hear conversations and snoring next door.
The room was very clean and was pretty nice. The staff was courteous and friendly. The lobby and hallways smelled nasty. They looked clean, but smelled like the rooms came with a free jumbo burrito. The room smelled fine though.
Loved the location, nice rooms, great breakfast, friendly staff, and price! Would have loved to have had more gym equipment. A set of dumbells would be great. The fitness facility consists of a treadmill, elliptical, flat bench with no weights to utilize with it, and a strange cable machine I've never seen before nor attempted to use.
Nice room, quiet, good staff, good breakfast
N/A, please see below. Very unhappy with this experience. Booked for my parents who weren't able to arrive until 5am (7th). They were asked to pay $200 penalty for a pet to stay there for approximately 3 hours. Under circumstances best to cancel, hotel refused to refund.
Great breakfast, spacious, clean room
Room size was amazing and bed was clean, comfortable and dressed with wonderful pillows There was a child upstairs from us who awoke at the crack of dawn and was very very noisy - Normally there is more insulation of sound in a Holiday Inn so I was surprised when this awoke me and kept me up.

It was up to date and clean. It was very loud because of the pool, no storage space, beds were to soft and bedding inadequate and they the lock the TV for connecting a computer to it. Also, no Ethernet connection to hard wire my computer for working and desk to small to work on.
Cleanliness!!!! Facilities were great! Indoor pool so kids weren't freezing while swimming, and breakfast was delicious! Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way because it was warped or something.
Clean and Comfy, Great location, easy to get around, and alot of resturants.
Breakfast was included and they had a wonderful variety to choose from. The mattresses were very comfortable.
Clean and price Too far from where I wanted to be. While it was only 5.5 miles, it took every bit of 15 minutes to get to the convention center

Staff was pleasant. Location was great. Hotel was very clean The bottom of the bathroom door has to be planed on the bottom as the door kept catching on the floor and made it hard to close. There was black ants in the bed and bathroom. Not too many. There was no cream cheese for the bagels
It was clean Staff very unaccommodating and rude. Poor breakfast selection.
The front desk employee that was working when I called was very helpful and understanding. He directed me on what I needed to do to book and receive a promotional rate. Got me a nice room, was pet friendly, and met all of my needs. I slept in since I arrived SO late and was able to head out comfortably at their 11am checkout. If I am ever driving through again I wouldn't hesitate to give them my business. Thanks again. Parking was gated... somewhat inconvenient but I understood it to be of necessity since the airport is right there. Soap dispensers in the shower. Efficient/not as wasteful im sure... but penny pinching when the room is $115+/night.
Proximity to airport Nothing
Chose Pear Tree for its location to the airport. Happy hour is okay and breakfast is very early at 5am. Shuttle goes every 20 min. Reasonable park n fly rate. Comfortable bed and decent room. Staff were very pleasant.
Wonderful room, shuttle,breakfast
The mattress and pillows were comfortable, the furniture and decor were decent, my daughter LOVED the waterfall and glass elevators (even though the elevators were truelly filthy.) It was nice having a TGI Friday's in the building. No continental breakfast, our room was HOT, the closet doors wouldn't close, the bathroom door wouldn't lock, the hotel was pretty dirty, the pool water that was supposed to be heated but was lukewarm at best and located in a freezing-cold Atrium so it was not even worth swimming in case you were so so so cold. There was no hair dryer and when we asked the stagf for one, they said they would bring one and never did. Other staff acted annoyed when asked questions. I will nt be staying there again.
Nothing really, it was relatively clean Parking, paid 10 dollars and took 45 min to find an empty space to park, very noisy, people in the restaurant made a lot of noise and made it impossible to sleep, and started to make noise around 5 in the morning again.
The staff was very friendly..I really liked them! The hotel just seemed a little tattered. It looked like it needed a freshening up. Paint fixtures etc.
Amazing complimentary breakfast and manager's reception.
We booked a room for our daughter's birthday. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was friendly. They offer free happy hour and breakfast. It was a great deal.
Young lady by the name of Jade was very kind. allowed us an early check in due to some unfortunate circumstances.. We had been in a car wreck, and in town for a funeral. Followed up with a fruit plate and sympathy note! We were impressed with the effort and the empathy she showed. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Dan Lloyd Pool was closed on a Sunday. Things happen I suppose.
Super friendly staff, good selection at breakfast (well staffed and refilled breakfast area which hasn't always been our experience with free breakfasts) and convenient location, near dining, shopping and attractions. Easy interstate access too. Only drawback was a chilly swimming pool but that didn't stop our children. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
This was a very comfortable hotel. Lot,s of room, Breakfast had good selection. Close to downtown. Katy trail and river front.
The family enjoyed the convenient location, clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, hearty breakfast and pool. Would stay here again.
We stayed in the king suite when my husband came back from spending 15 months in Iraq. The ladies at the front desk were so kind when we checked in. Never had a problem here. We did ask the housekeeper for extra towels but she couldn't speak English. Actually neither of the housekeepers we asked could understand us. \nOtherwise the whirlpool tub in our room was great- a little small. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space in them for just the two of us. Would deffinately stay again.
For booking a hotel in St. Charles last minute on extremely busy weekend, this hotel was nice. There was a little mix up with our room but the staff handled it very professionally and was extremely nice. The room was clean (except for the coffee maker... gross!) and the breakfast in the morning was great. It is really close to historic St. Charles and the interstate. One con was they promised free internet but when we tried to use it, it was blocked. Overall our stay was good. I wish the price could have been a little less but I suppose that is what you get for booking at the last minute.
We stayed 4 nights last week (4/19-24/2009). We found the hotel very clean, and well kept. A good value for our money. The room was spacous and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The continental breakfast was fresh, varied and covered all dietary needs. It was near everything we wanted to visit. We used the pool and the fitness facility. We will definitely come back next year. The nicest thing was three days after checking out, we received a post card thanking us for staying there!
This is by far one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff is great! Very helpful. The breakfast attendant very warm and inviting. The breakfast was great. I would recommend anyone to stay here
Do NOT stay here if you are a non-smoker! We requested a non-smoking room and were given a room on the non-smoking ''wing'' of a smoking floor. The whole floor and room REEKED of second-hand smoke and so did the elevator. I do *not* recommend this hotel for non-smokers, pregnant women, couples with children, or people with breathing problems.
The hotel staff was wonderful. They printed directions for us when the internet was slow in our room. They were extremely friendly with advising us on what there was to do locally- you do not have to go back into the city to have a good time near here. The evening lady gave us cupons to go to the casino and directions to the local movie theater. The rooms were very clean and the whirlpool was a great addition after a long flight. We will deffinately be staying again in a few weeks. Wonderful location right off of I-70. Cannot miss this hotel if you tried.
