Nothing. You would be better off sleeping at a rest stop and save the $40. Room was unclean, smelled moldy. There is no deadbolt on the door, but bars are on the windows... it is in a terrible part of town. You will not feel safe staying at the Delux Motel.
Sure, the room had been cleaned, but that only gets you so far when you've got a leaking toilet and crumbling cinder blocks. It had a coffee maker, but no coffee or coffee cups, a tv, but it was so old only one button in three actually worked, a decent King mattress, but threadbare bed spreads and seriously lumpy pillows. But the staff was pleasant and the room was cheap and (roughly) as described. I got the sense they were trying to make improvements but the battle was so uphill it was futile. Aside from the many caveats above, it's in the middle of nowhere, and not the nice kind of nowhere. We also had loud and somewhat frightening neighbors (lots of yelling, loud sex, doors being banged on and cries of "Where's my money??" at 3 am. That's really not the motels fault in my mind but it gives you an idea of the kind of place it is. If you really want as cheap as possible, and you don't have unreasonable standards as to what "cheap as possible" gets you, go for it. It's a place to sleep and you (probably) won't get murdered. If any of that gives you pause, go elsewhere.
Location was super convenient. Room was very small but up to date and clean. location was directly between two strip clubs in a shady neighborhood. Boxes and bags of lord knows what all up and down hallway. Trash in buckets and boxes up and down hallway.
Room was clean and also spacious for the rate. We stayed 2 nights. There is a gas station and shop nearby. Emerson Park metro station is closeby where you can park free of cost and ride. Doors don't feel very strong. Noises from next rooms could be heard.
Room was clean Horrible place to stay; scary people; location is in the middle of nowhere; feel like people just go there to watch porn and have sex all night long
Room was nice enough but smelled like it had been overly sprayed with some deodorizing perfume. There were soap and shampoo, and television as well as a fridge in the room. No wifi, no guide to the tv channels, no area suggestions for food or sights in the room. Did find some in the office.
Clean rooms, updated rooms, friendly staff!
Clean room, recently recarpeted and painted rooms. Very easy access to the highway. Convenient for travelers along I-70. Free WiFi, but seems to originate from a single point located at motel office at the front of the lot. I had a room at the back of the lot and had difficulty getting a reliable connection from inside my room. No problem from the parking lot in the central area.
The price and the Waffle House next door! This hotel is exactly what you pay for. Cheap sleep. No frills. No deadbolts on the doors and the location made me a little apprehensive about staying here. Everything turned out fine, though.
Right off of the highway and easy to find The hotel is very old, but seemed well taken care of. The main thing I found rather disturbing was the fact that there was no deadbolt on any of the doors and the main lock to get into the room looked like a standard household front door knob.
Nothing. Bed had cigerette burns in sheets. We put our own sheets over bed and slept on them. Counter was rude. Very rude. .bathroom had a cockroach. Killed it before my daughter saw it so she didn't know. .overall was a terrible stay. Not clean Smelled.of cigarettes in room. Didn't smell good at all. Next room over the guy went to enter.room and his door was already open. Didn't need a key Was.very dis sattisfied.
Nothing Disgusting! Trash cans outside overflowing, mold on the walls, pubic hair all over the shower and the sheets had stains on them
The staff was awesome very friendly. Lobby was very clean. My bathroom was terrible, the sink was hanging on by a thread. They need to update that. Toliet was running alot. Please update bathroom.
Large screen TV Non-smoking room smelled of smoke. It also smelled musty and like a locker room.
My motorcycle was able to fit in the elevator so I could keep it safe in my 2nd floor room overnight. I am 100% convinced that if I had left it outside LOCKED to my flatbed trailer, it would have not been there in the morning. Ice machine. Everything else. It was a zoo. Location and price caters to the sludge of society. I'm talking crack whore central. 2 out of 6 rooms that I had to pass from the elevator to my room were clearly permanently rented by the scum of the earth. Doors wide open, I could see plastic drawers all over the room being used as dressers, trinkets and mess in the window sills, children running around screaming, women screaming at their children about how they don't have any money for food. As I checked in, the police were being called already at 8pm. THUG CENTRAL. I had been driving for 16 hours, so I wrote it off and checked in. I woke up about every hour to check on my car to see if it was still there, and if it was, to make sure it hadn't been broken into or set on fire. Thankfully (but also scary) was that there were sheriff deputies walking around the place all night. I will not ever return. Spend the extra $30-40 and get into a nice place.
nothing--even though it cost us $60 we cancelled our 3 day reservation and set out on a hunt to find a pet friendly place that would also be human friendly The place was located in hell. The grounds looked like the city dump and the rooms and beds were totally uninviting. Could not face staying here. The La Quinta a bit further north east ended up costing more but it was a hundred times better for the $$$
