10.0 Excellent

Cons: It certainly met our expectations. Nothing to dislike.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent care to detail - great breakfast, clean, comfortable, perfect location, lovely snacks and great coffee/tea readily available. Owner and staff are friendly and accessible. Rooms are well cleaned each day. Lovely property with beautiful gardens. Property is obviously loved and well maintained.
Cons: Stairs - if you have bad knees, make sure to request a floor level room.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The garden and yard around the house was beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden in the backyard next to the waterfall having our coffee and talking to other guests. It is a beautiful area and is well maintained. The breakfast was delicious very filling.
Cons: They should do a better job of telling guests that parking is in the rear and accessible by a street behind the house! We thought the driveway next to the house was theirs and it wasn't. Very difficult to back out onto main street to get out.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Truly in the middle of everything! Visited Gettysburg over Halloween and was able to walk everywhere except Little Round Top. The Delaware room was very clean very comfortable and with a fireplace wood stove and claw foot tub , I don’t know how I’ll ever “like “ a hotel room again.
Cons: Could be that it was my first time at a BnB, but the second morning we went down for breakfast and all the tables had reserved signs on them. I didn’t really know what to do, rather then go into the kitchen, we just decided to check out and eat on the road. The breakfast on the morning of our first day was delicious though!
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfasts were very good. Pleasant company and lovely environment. The location was superb. We walked everywhere at all times of day and evening. House was comfy and quiet and owners and staff were lovely in all ways. Couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We especially appreciated restaurant recommendations and arrangements for tour of the battlefields.
Cons: it was all good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: We woke up to coffee or tea downstairs. Breakfast served was fantastic. The deer that seemed to love the back\side yard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Kenny and Judy were both the nicest (and funniest) hosts you could ask for. I really appreciated the brief history lesson about the house and tons of references for what was available to do in town. The beds are super comfortable (a big deal to me, since I am prone to stiffness). I also enjoyed visiting with their outside cat! The fire pit was wonderful and a great way to meet other guests.
Cons: I wish dinner was available-Judy was a better chef than anything we had in town!

Cons: I enjoyed everything.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very cozy and the bed was extremely comfortable. The cheese bacon potato casserole was wonderful and hot. I hit the spot on a cold November morning. It was so much nicer staying in a home rather than a generic hotel.

The Dobbin House was recommended and did not disappoint. Breakfast was Halloween themed and delicious! Mike Vice was our Historian and he packed so many fun facts leading up to the Battle. We are already looking forward to our next stay! AND, for the novice ghost hunter, we captured a class A EVP in the backyard!!

The barn kitties were sweet and loving. The breakfast was delicious! It was really close to the National Park and an easy bike ride or drive to town. Before breakfast there was an historian who talked about being a soldier during that time. And, I got to shoot a musket.

Pros: Location was great. Easy walking distance to restaurants and the battlefield. Breakfast was okay. We went to breakfast at 9 AM on Saturday and there were no eggs left. We waited for a few minutes but no-one came to replenish the tray so we went to a diner.
Cons: As a Rewards Card holder, I was told that I did not get any points or bonuses for my stay because I did not book through the from desk. I could have stayed at another close-by hotel for $20 a night less but did not out of loyalty. This should be made known to guests before they book.

Pros: When I booked the Brafferton Inn, I did not realize it was a bed and breakfast and was only expecting a continental type meal when "breakfast included" was listed. What we received was an amazing breakfast which included individual bowls of fruit, homemade pastries, and a choice of 5 entrees--different each day. Our accommodations ended up being a charming apartment (modern bath, bedroom, and sitting room) overlooking a main street in the quaint town of Gettysburg. From the "secret garden" courtyard to the relaxed atmosphere of the parlor, this Inn is definitely a hidden gem and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Size of room, amenities in room-- fridge, coffee maker, bar sink, granite countertop in room, spacious bathroom, good bed, nice bedding, good breakfast assortment, delicious danish! Staff was most helpful in recommending restaurants. There was a little problem locating my friends' reservation, but the desk staff kept trying and trying to locate it and assured us that they would find it which they did.
Cons: We had to clean off our breakfast table with paper towels dampened with hot water from the hot water carafe. Other guest were just brushing crumbs off table. There did not appear to be anyone bussing and cleaning tables that needed it.
7.0 Good
Pros: The breakfasts were great; cookies in the evening were nice; breakfast staff was nice and interacted with the customers.
Cons: The air conditioning was awful--first it blew air, then it blew heat-even though the temp setting was the same; The covers on the bed were too hot for the room.

Pros: Staff was great. Beautiful restored house.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Forget the rest, the Swope's the best.
Cons: Leaving
6.7 Good
Cons: The ketchup bottles (4) were practically empty. Why didn't they buy new bottles for us? There was no interaction between the owners and the guests.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The location can’t be beat, it’s directly downtown, walking distance to countless bars and restaurants, as well as the historic sites on the other side of town. The rooms are all spacious and clean, and the staff was great.
Cons: The one complaint I do have is about the breakfast itself. The offerings were a little too “bready,” one day the main course was blueberry french toast that was ostensibly just a big piece of bread pudding, another day was just regular french toast as the main course. Everything was tasty and presented well, but you just wish there was more protein involved. Each day there was a little fruit salad and a muffin, so on the days where it was the french toast, it was right behind a muffin.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was great. Close to town and food. The bed was comfortable. The room we were in was on the street side, but surprisingly quiet. The hosts were easy-going and helpful. I'd stay again.
Cons: From reading reviews, I knew that breakfast would be pre-packaged baked goods or similar. However, the sell by date on everything was a solid month before we got there. Needless to say, we went out to eat.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very delightfully unusual. The snacks and breakfast were carb laden but eclectic comfort food!! I personally cannot eat the food but it would delight others. The rooms were decorated accordingly. The owner/manager went out of his way to make us comfortable.
Cons: Nothing really.

Pros: Quirky place which made it fun. Good location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The whole atmosphere was wonderful, And the owners were very accommodating… We arrived later than expected, I did call to let them know… but it was no problem-we still felt very welcome! Barbara was there to greet us with a smile and her kind words. The Breakfast (available 24 hours) options/choices were amazing! Everything from muffins, to fresh pastries, cereals, oatmeal, fresh fruit, yogurt & more. Best B & B we have ever stayed!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners at A Sentimental Journey were extremely friendly and accommodating. My boyfriend and I loved that we were central in Gettysburg and nearly everything we wanted to do was within walking distance. We couldn't have asked for a better spot! We were lucky enough to have an entire unit to ourselves due to the slower season. Everything was in good shape while still having an older, quaint feel to it. 10/10 for comfort! The part we liked the most was that breakfast was 24-hour self serve; they provided numerous breakfast items such as bagels, yogurts, cereals, danishes, and more. There was coffee, tea, milk, and a microwave as well as a toaster oven. It was nice to be able to get some food whenever we woke up instead of rushing downstairs like most B&B's. We hope to visit again!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Overall great place to stay. Friendly owners. Clean and well decorated rooms. Walking distance to everything you need

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The location is great and the dinner was delicious.
Cons: The room was on the small side but then again the house is very old and not like we are used to in today's world.
6.0 Good
Pros: So the location of the Inn was perfect but it was discussed that it was a little pricey for what you got. The rooms fit the theme but the bed was not that comfortable and the molding of the bathtub was peeling which kind of turned us off. You are paying for the history and the so called experiences but still a little pricey for one night.
Cons: The price was a little high for what was received. They offered a ghost tour which was through the Inn but it wasn’t complimentary. For what you are paying, it should be.
6.7 Good
Pros: The historical aspect of the building.
Cons: The mattress was hard...might as well have been sleeping on the floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked that they offer tours from the Inn. Parking was close and easy to find.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Our room was wonderful! The breakfast that we had was amazing. We were close to everything including the battlefields, food and shops. Great location.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was very nice. I stayed in the Jenny Wade Room. Very picturesque.

7.0 Good
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, free breakfast!
Cons: Inn should encourage eco-friendly practices, small bathroom/tub/shower, small t.v.
6.7 Good
Pros: Able to walk around the historic section from the hotel's location. Beds were comfortable. Room was good size. Free breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: More like a motel than hotel. Doorway was from the outside and you could hear traffic and people all day and night. No view - just the street. Also, could hear a night time tour guide at the building next door at 9:00 at night! Since it is a dog friendly hotel, we could hear dogs barking, as well. Not what we expected.
8.0 Excellent

Cons: Staff could have friendlier
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Rooms were spacious and clean. Close to all attractions. Good breakfast.
Cons: Parking. Not enough parking spaces close to hotel. Too few handicap parking spaces.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was probably what we liked most about the hotel. You're within walking distance to most of what you should do while in Gettysburg, such as the ghost tours and battlefield tours, including being across the street from Soldier's National Cemetery.
Cons: No, it was what we expected, maybe even a bit better than expected.

Pros: Location is amazing! Size of the suite was outstanding!
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Convenient, liked as two couples, could sit and visit downstairs before retiring for the day.
Cons: Coffee pot needs replacing, as not everyone could figure that you need to hold the pot up to get the coffee to go into the pot.needs to have the remote for TV available, not everyone knows to turn on and off on back of TV.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: So much space for a family of 5! Couldn't have loved the location any more. Right in the circle! Big kitchen to cook and eat in which was helpful on a statewide toad trip after being crammed in a hotel. Walked to literally everything we needed. Grocery store was a close drive also. Perfect location to head off to all the Civil War attractions.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The guy behind the counter was freindly
Cons: It stunk of mold when you walk through the doors. The pool looked dirty. it did not have a tub. the eggs and meat were on a counter across the room from the rest of the food.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location and helpful staff. I have visited a few times because the visit is welcoming!
Cons: Nope. Friendly staff, clean environment. Staff was incredibility helpful.
1.0 Poor
Cons: At the time of check out, cashier said that my credit card was declined. After a little argument, she finally conceded. That was totally unacceptable behaviour. And they dont have a bath tub which i missed a lot.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Front desk person recommended a local restaurant, The Ott House, it was great!!
Cons: Some kid dominated the waffle machine. Not the hotels fault.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was exceptionally helpful and cheerful after a long day of travel. They accommodated my pet on short notice and answered our questions. The rooms were super comfortable and the location was cleaner than most places for the same price. Beds were very comfortable and the location was quiet but conveniently near the highway.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Clean, comfortable, spacious and quiet. Nothing fancy, but just what you need when visiting Thurmont or Emmitsburg. We stayed here for a high school reunion weekend, and the hotel met our needs. The breakfast was standard and adequate. I would stay here again.
Cons: Given the quality of the hotel, the daily rate is over-priced, but there are few other options nearby. Hence, you pay more for the location and convenience. The hallway carpet needs replacing - duct tape repair is never acceptable.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The value of the place and location to gettysburg
Cons: The breakfast could have been a little better. I think there should be more signs off the highway telling you how to get to the place especially the night. Tough to find!!!!
7.9 Good
Pros: Good Breakfast Nice Indoor Pool Easy access
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Close location to Mount St. Mary's- great. Room comfortable but a bit loud with parking lot on the outside. Bed was too soft but bathroom was clean. Breakfast was very basic, if not blah and coffee was not good. Not sure if it even had caffeine. Room was clean, staff was friendly.
Cons: Pool didn't look especially clean. My bed was too soft.
7.1 Good
Pros: It was ok for 1 night
Cons: I looked for a washing machine and the vending machine was out of order. In the reception they were surprised to hear about that...
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean. Beds were comfy and showers were amazing. Breakfast was good!
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: I don't know why this hotel has a high rating. Please don't believe '5 rooms left' on sale, it is fake. There were about 15 cars park in the whole parking lot.
Cons: Room: Old, Dusty, No bath tub. Breakfast: They serve past-due yogurts and dried doughnuts. Pool: Makes a lot of bubbles when swimming. Overall: I really disappointed at this hotel.
