Pros: amazing breakfast, wide variety, fresh, plenty of it

10.0 Excellent
Pros: L'Ippogrifo is beautifully decorated with generously sized rooms. We stayed there last week on our family trip to Italy. It is in prime location just steps away from reaturants and old city sights. It was perfect for spending a day in Ferrara. The breakfast selection was very very good. Even picky kids could find enough to eat. Tiny doughnuts were especially popular ;) The best part though was the amazing and friendly service ! This place is a gem!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: This B&B is in an old house very close to the city centre in an excellent location. The rooms are stylishly furnished and a good size - ours had a kitchenette. The highlight of this B&B is the breakfast - there was a fantastic array of home baked cakes and pastries to sample, with different items each day.
Cons: Breakfast was slightly crowded as there wasn't enough room for all the guests to eat at once - but it was worth the wait!

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Situated in the heart of the historic city, close to the grand Palazzo, restaurants and shopping. The host was helpful and informative. The room was attractive, with a small, balcony and view of rooftops and bell tower.
Cons: There is a major design flaw in the bathroom. There was no room to sit on the toilet! My room was the "small" one, so maybe the other rooms were okay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location next to the pedestrian center of Ferrara. Great breakfast and very friendly host.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This property is located in the historic center of Modena, just a short walk away from the Cathedral. It is compact but has all the modern amenities one could wish for. We visited on a hot day in July and the air conditioner was doing very silently his job. The owner efficiently explained everything and had baked some marvellous biscuits for our breakfast. A Nespresso machine is provided with some capsules. In the fridge were two bottle of water. This is a fabulous location for good value. If you arrive by car please do contact the owner and give her beforehand the details of your car registration. In that way she can contact the local police to obtain an authorization to enter the historic center by car, which is in a limited traffic zone. We had not done so and would have been fined if the owner had not kindly gone to the police the next day to explain the problem and so waive the fine.
Cons: Everything was great. We had a communication problem because we traveled from an area in Tuscany where there was no telephone reception and therefore could not get swiftly in touch with the owner.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pietra is the perfect host having lovely decorated and nurtured this 700 year old home which is so well located in the historical Jewish Ghetto. 9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely room in a very quiet location but only a ten-minute walk to the center of the old city. Pietro was very hospitable.
Cons: Though there were delicious homemade jams and a cake we would like to have had some fruit and an egg. parking was several blocks away but that was the downside for a very quiet location.

Pros: Comfortable rooms, nice staff, good location
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room was furnished in a minimalistic style, but contained all the necessary items. Everything was very clean. The location was excellent - the place was quiet and still the city centre could be reached within several minutes. The staff was nice, helpfull and punctual. Good value for money.
Cons: The room is sufficient for staying overnight, but more place would be required for a longer stay. In fact, we had to put most of our belongings on the floor. Installation of one or two shelves on the wall could improve the situation considerably. The basic breakfast was not very rich and additional supply (e.g. yogurth) was charged.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location. Price very fair. Friendly staff.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent value for money. Room in the yard of a building. Quiet, clean and an amazing mattress on the firm side. We slept very well. Host was pleasant and communication very smooth.
Cons: The only thing I would improve a bit is the breakfast. Muffins were good and I was not hungry that day but otherwise I would recommend to offer fresh white bread as well.

Cons: Nothing to say
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, nicely furnitured, top quality. Very nice bathroom. Perfectly clean. Nice host.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: The room was very nice but based on the street level, so it was a little bit dark. The room of our kids was located in the garden, it was very nice and quite. The breakfast was very basic. The owner was very friendly adn nice.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The bathroom was lovely, with quality materials and products. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was punctual and tasty. The location was good.
Cons: The excessive charge for our dog; 10 euros for one night was absurd and exploitative. Compare with fee charged by other structures.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location easy walking distance to city centre. Modern clean facilities in quaint setting. Greeted by lovely host who made us feel welcomed.
Cons: Needed to be told in advance that the only parking available was street parking which wasn’t easy to find close to the accommodation. Minimal breakfast and would have preferred an option for something savoury.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location was fantastic, with a view looking directly across the old cathedral. The breakfast was also good, taking place on a third floor terrace that overlooks the main piazza and the bustling, early morning crowd. Where the hotel excels far beyond its competitors, however, is its incredibly friendly staff. They went out of their way to assist us with several issues not related to the stay. Overall, an excellent option for anyone visiting Ferrara!
Cons: The A/C was a little weak and the temp went as high as 106 during the day. It was still 100 at 10:00pm, so that didn't help.

Honey Rooms - Ferrara - Bedroom
9
9.4 Excellent (366 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Honey Rooms in Ferrara, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Ferrara Synagogue and Casa Romei. Featured amenities include luggage storage and an elevator.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Very new, stylish, comfortable and pleasant to stay. The AC was good. There are several "Honey Room" apartments in this building. Our particular apartment was at the 1-st floor, which implied no breakfast (not really needed since we had a kitchen and there were grocery shops around), and noise from the street with windows partly opened. One had to keep the shutters shut and use the electric lighting. All that was not a big problem for us. I do not know about the other apartments in the building.
Cons: The WiFi signal, as well as the mobile phone signal were marginal in this apartment.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff were exceptionally friendly and polite. The property was clean and modern and well situated.
Cons: There was no one present at the time when we said we would arrive. Also, on the first day we pointed out that two out of three light bulbs were not working on the lower floor which was therefore a little dark. Although attention was promised these were not replaced by the time we left three nights later. The breakfast was only OK. Admittedly the weather was exceptionally hot but the air conditioning unit struggled to keep the two level room sufficiently cool.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was very modern, clean and well presented.
Cons: We got zero support from management when we left our keys in the room on our first day and found ourselves locked out of the building. The lady at the contact number could not speak any English and when we got a passed by to explain she still would not give us any timeframe for when we could expect assistance!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was of an excellent size for the 3 of us and the en suite also excellent. Very helpful staff/owners. Good selection of food for the continental breakfast.
Cons: The only thing we found not perfect was the lighting. It only was a problem when we were resting in the room at night doing crosswords.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was large, with small terrace, and had an elevator to the floor. Lovely breakfast
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very nice room, very nice breakfast, very nice hosts! Excellent location for visiting the historic center of Ferrara. Within walking distance to many nice restaurants and bars.
Cons: My only "recommendation" would be to bring earplugs, just in case. Our room overlooked the street and, as it was Sat. night, it was a bit noisy until around 1 a.m. Actually they could provide in the toiletries basket in the bathroom, just in case.
7.5 Good
Pros: Great location - everything on the doorstep
Cons: Breakfast. There was little choice of meats, cheeses, breads and rolls and limited time in which breakfast was available - only between the hours of 8 til 9 am. There was no evidence that bathroom was cleaned during our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very clean. The wifi perfect. The ac with the dehumidifier was working very good. In general the room was beyond expectations.
Cons: There is extra admission if you arrive in a different time than the check-in hours if the B&B. Also, the lights in the room were not so bright, in case one needs to work.
7.5 Good
Pros: The room was clean and pleasant, breakfast simple but fine.
Cons: We arrived at what was supposed to be check-in hours.but there was no one there when we got there, and no one answered when we tried to call. After a few minutes someone came to open up the place for us, but he spoke no English at all and we were not able to get information about parking,, things in area, etc.

Pros: Location, excellent breakfast, private safe parking nearby.
Cons: We booked two rooms. One was excellent (107), but the other (104) smelled unpleasant. There is a mold in both showers.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Having holidayed in Italy at least annually for the last 20 years and stayed in many 4star hotels this was by far the most generous and varied breakfast buffet we have ever enjoyed. The owners do not skimp on anything; so many little touches that make a hotel extra special are to be found at the Annunziata.
Cons: Nothing really.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfasts were excellent , the location ideal and the staff very helpful - exactly why we came back for a second stay.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really lovely breakfast with lots of choice and nice touches. clean, sizeable, cool rooms.
Cons: Walk to the annex and no lift
8.3 Excellent
Pros: All was quite good. No real complaints.
Cons: They charged my card without giving me any opportunity to decide how I would like to pay (I got extra 25eur charge for currency change) and they were not too understanding and gentle in communication. But to be honest the reservation was pre-paid and they had the right to do that. Just not very nice about it. The coffee maker in the room is a cattle and some plastic cups - do not expect too much.
9.6 Excellent

Cons: The mattress was a little firm. That’s all I could fault but that could just be me.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location half way between the train station and the city’s historic centre. Very well laid out room, very clean, comfortable bed.
Cons: Italy has not yet caught on to the delight of kettle and tea things ... no way to make our own hot beverage in the morning or after a long day.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was very spacious, nicely furnished, soundproof against the street. Nice bathroom, too. Really nice surprise was 24 hours free parking on the street. Apartment was close enough to the old city center. The guy who gave us the keys (owner?) was friendly.
Cons: Nothing really, maybe the apartment was slightly less soundproof against next door apartment.
7.5 Good
Pros: Relative easy access from train station (perhaps 10min walk) & similar timeframe to walk to Castelo Estense/Duomo/bars & cafes in Centro. Bed comfortable although low to floor, lights incl for reading good, WiFi good, bathroom a reasonable size. Several cafe-coffee bars close by for breakfast croissant/coffee. Security good with 3 keys needed (downstairs/front door/room).
Cons: Luggage storage listed on booking.com but not available. I am also convinced I checked re lift vs stairs so 2 flights stairs a “challenge”

Pros: Very friendly host, nice room in a great location. Breakfast was limited (coffee + croissant) but okay for us. We only stayed one night but after check out we could leave our bags in the common room The value for the money was perfect
Cons: the shower did not drain well and the water was not hot enough
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location, hotel is just across Castello Estense di Ferrara. Even so that only the publick prking was available, thanks to the agreement that the hotel has with city, it is possible to park in nearby streats only for 3 EUR per day.
Cons: Rooms do not have good sound isolation. You can hear even the littlest sounds from corridor and other rooms. Towels were terrible and strange - more like bed sheets than actual towels. Also, from our room there was no view at all since half meter from our window was a wall.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The site, in the heart of the historic center.
Cons: The breakfast, very limited (albeit delicious) in a bar nearby.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: The hotel has an excellent location in a pedestrian area of Ferrara, and all the sights can be reached on foot in few minutes. The room was very tidy with high ceilings and huge windows overlooking the street. The bathroom was very spacious with a huge walk in shower. Breakfast was tasty. A fridge in the room is a bonus (especially during summer days). The hotel is very pet friendly and our dog really felt like at home. The hotel is locked in the evening and only guests can get in. The hotel garage parking is few blocks away in a very secure garage lot, but guests can drive car right to the hotel to unload and load the luggage. The only time you cannot do it is on the market day so you should check with the hotel the market day dates. Otherwise you'll end up carrying luggage through crowds for few blocks.

Pros: Really pleased that we chose this hotel amongst a number of options in central Ferrara. The Nazionale's location is definitely its best feature. We were within walking distance (less than 5 mins) of the Duomo and the Castle in a beautiful historic quarter of the city. The room itself was clean and well-presented. The modern bathroom was great. Breakfast options were varied and tasty, with croissants and hams and cheeses, cereal and spreads. Highly recommended. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable with local recommendations, and let us leave luggage after checking out which was helpful.

Pros: We stayed for just one night on the way back from Bressanone to Rome and as soon as we saw the place, wished we were staying for longer. Our room was huge with very comfortable beds and everything we needed. The pool was a lovely unexpected bonus, a good size and like everything else, super clean. Paulo was the perfect host and his enthusiasm for and knowledge of the property and his family’s home was great. Although we didn’t have time to really make us of the grounds we are really looking forward to returning and spending a little more time exploring Ferrara. So pleased we found this gem!

Pros: Good location. Ferrara is definately worth a visit, lots of restaurants, wine bars and sites to see. The two young ladies who checked us in were very friendly and arranged for us to park our bikes in a safe courtyard. Very enjoyable stay. Many thanks.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: I was impressed by this facility. It felt like staying in a museum. I love history and the building is a piece of history. The room, the halls, the entire building fascinated me. The location is more than perfect, within a short walk to everything you need for a stay in Ferrara: shops, nightlife, tourist attractions, bus to Bologna Airport, absolutely everything you need. I cannot recommend enough this place. Great value for money for what they offer. Tip - a great restaurant is just next to the entrance in the building. If you plan on eating there, make sure to book in advance. Yes, is that great!
Cons: The staff that checked us in was not speaking English. We managed to sort things out and she compensated with her friendliness and willingness to help. It was not a big issue for me. I cannot complain about anything else.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely place to stay in Ferrara: clean room, comfortable bed, aged design inspired by the old Ferrara, friendly personnel! Located in the historical centre, but very quiet at nights, will certainly book again! Thx!

Pros: Fantastic historical property with so much charm. Our host was passionate about the property and we felt extremely welcomed. The room exceeded expectations, bed was comfy, aircon did its job during the hot summer and the bathroom was immaculate. Large room with plenty of space and you cant beat the location.
Cons: Area is in zona traffico limitato which is no problem, parking is available 1-2mins walk away but you will have to pay for the meter.

Pros: a nice building, close to the city center, aircondition, bikes for free
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location
Cons: A boiler or small pot to make tea would be usefull
9.2 Excellent
Pros: What is not to like? Hostess is very friendly and takes time during check in to give you useful information about Ferrara and supermarkets close to the location. She also Location is in a quiet area, but still in walking distance (maybe 5 minutes) from the centre. Bus stop from/to the train station is a 5-10 minutes walk. Apartment was spacious, with comfortable couch and good shower. Small kitchen with microwave if you want to snack or heat some water (there is no tea kettle). The apartment is cleaned every day and that shows, it was all very neat. Breakfast was very extensive, lots of choice. The croissants and bread are fresh, even a bit warm if you are really enough. Aside from that there was also yoghurt, cereal and juice. There was always a little extra (like cake or muffins) which would change each day. The hostess insists on making the first cup of coffee (or cappuccino, or espresso) for you. Very good place to stay, it feels like home away from home.
Cons: Bed was just a bit too hard for my taste, but still comfortable enough. A tea kettle for boiling water would be nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The name! The peaceful location. The peace and quiet. The little kitchen was useful. The cycles in the yard. Cycling is the principal mode of transport in Ferrara.
Cons: The fact that the nearby Palazzo Schifanoia is now closed for restoration. No street view from our room.
