I ended up double insured because ENTERPRISE was unaware that I had bought the additional insurance through kayak so I am a little frustrated with that but that is not ENTERPRISE ‘s fault. That is kayaks issue. Everything was ENTERPRISE was great

No one inspected the car with me when I picked up the car, the existing damages were written in text and not shown in picture so obviously it was not clear and there was existing damages missing from the file. Luckily I had taken videos to make sure I don’t get screwed at drop off. The car was dirty from inside and outside. There was Tobacco everywhere in the car. At drop off I got accused of a damage that was there before me and I had to show my videos so I sent multiple emails and waiting for response

We had to wait in a huge line that took 3.5 hours to pick up our rental car that we reserved and paid a deposit for online. We were exhausted from our long flight and jetlag. There was nowhere to sit. It was very poor service from Sixt. This is the last time I will be renting with them.

Waited in line for 2 hours to pick up car, then was told that they gave away all of the cars in our preferred body type because "we were late"! We ended up with a full-sized gas guzzling car that wound up costing us MUCH more money. Dropped the car off 2 days earlier than expected and somehow still got charged the full amount for the rental?? Never again.

Had to wait in line a solid hour to get to a counter agent at Frankfurt airport to p/u my car. Way under staffed. Staff were decent but obviously stressed. No fun for anyone! When returning, I walked past the rental counters again, and saw that this time the line up for Sixt was at least 3 times as long, so likely a 3 hour wait in line to p/u a car. What a mess. Both times, Sixt had by far the longest line up of all the car rental companies. Given that most customers book their rental car in advance, this is a problem with an obvious solution -- pay enough to attract/train/retain sufficient employees to meet known customer demand! Very frustrating to see only half the rental counter spots staffed during peak times. Or get with the times and set up a proper express p/u system whereby customers fully registered with Sixt can by-pass the counter and head straight out to pick a car, as is typically/smoothly done in North America.

Wenn ich wochenlang Testa-Nutzungs E-Mails bekomme, erwarte ich auch einen Tesla beim Abholen. Mir wurde eine anderes E-Auto angeboten, aber der Kofferraum war nicht ausreichend. Der angebotene MB E220D war dann am anderen Endes des Angebotsspekturms. Er lies sich aber sehr gut fahren.

The location demanded that I obtain insurance and pay USD 500 before they would give me the car since I did not have a copy of my insurance showing that rental cars were covered. Who cares a copy of their insurance disclosures? If I had known, I would have obtained a copy before I left the US. Thus, I had to call my insurance company at my expense and have them email a copy that I could then email to the renal counter. I will not use Kayak nor Hertz for a rental car again and will tell all of my friends to not use them also. Not happy.

Everything was fine the pick up and drop off except that I booked a Seat Ateca or similar and i got a Fiat tipo which is smaller but they insisted thats its the same category the boot space in the Seat Ateca is 510 liters while its 440 in the Fiat.. In addition to that the car is smaller than the Seat. As i said everything was good except that i dont think i got an intermediate SUV. As i always encounter if the selected car is not available i should be upgraded not downgraded. Thank you

Customer service counter person was annoyed I spent 80 euro extra on mileage and I ask her for additional miles, she said .20 euro was not much. Was annoyed the reservation was at terminal 1 not 2, I just selected euro car

Nothing. Due to the autobahn being shut down for some security incident, we were unable to get to the rental pickup in time (only two hours later) and they had cancelled our reservation stating we were too late. Absolutely zero customer service from kayak and I even lost the $200 insurance for a car I never got to rent.

Cons:

The original Avis representative at check-in had asked me if I wanted GPS. I said no, and although I can speak some German I was tired after a long flight and signed the contract without noting that I was paying for additional GPS that I did not ask for. Upon returning the vehicle I spoke once again to a different person at the counter telling her the situation and was given a credit for the GPS

Turned to be a scam, supposed to be a VW Sharan van or similar, but they said there was a mistake in CarRentals.com reservation with Avis and they will give me a station wagon instead, and if I wanted a van I had to pay $1780 instead of $630. Both are unprofessional, CarRentals.com and Avis.

The rep told me about the charges and advised to bring back the car with full tank to get 120$ credit but upon returning my car, not only did I not get the credit, I was over charged an additional 500$.. dishonest staff attempting to over charge you so they can get a commission..stay away!!

Staff was friendly at the counter but the agency was horrible. Ended up having to go to another vendor to obtain a vehicle.

Cons:

This is one of two car rental agencies that insists that you pay for the insurance policy even though you have other comprehensive coverage - this effectively doubles the cost of the rental. This was not apparent on the website. The staff person I dealt with indicated that it was present in "very very fine print." Both I and the person ahead of me who also appeared to be a seasoned traveler then had to make alternate arrangements. This cost me an additional two hours at the airport when I had a long drive to make after a long flight.

The terms of agreement for Dollar (Germany) mandate that you purchase their insurance - if you used a credit card for your rental. The insurance is an “option” that must be added at the counter and as it is an “option” is is not included in any quote. It doesn’t matter what other insurance you have

Car was a Hertz, new Renault

Cons:

The very small print that the guy at the counter put in front of my, saing that I need to take full CDW despite my Wolrd Elite Master card. That was a pain to start our vacation with, since I spent 3 hours to argue and in the end I had to call several times in Canada to have the bank transfer me to the insurance company to have a letter specifically stating that the credit card in hand is covering me and not someone else with the CDW. Third world experience in Germany, I would not expect that, but Hertz seemed to want badly every one of my dollars. Will no longer rent with Dollar/Hertz and will say around me the story so people are aware.

That we finally received a car.

Cons:

I made a reservation weeks in advanced yet the day of, there weren't any cars available due to events in the city. I'm sure the cars got rented out at a higher rate to walk in customers that did have a reservation. We had to wait at the airport for 3.5 hours after 2 long flights. And we weren't the only ones. A lot of people were in the same boat as us. If I ever use hertz/dollar again I won't bother making a reservation as it means nothing, apparently. Also, our final bill was more than quoted and we were not notified of the early closing time at the drop off location. Although, this is not surprising as the agents at the pickup location could barely do their jobs due to so many upset customers, waiting.

When I attempted to pick up the car I was informed that the credit card I used was insufficient and I'd have to purchase the additional insurance. The charge for the insurance more than doubled the amount quoted.
