Pros: Loved the decor; the fluffy and abundant towels; the cleanliness of my room and hotel; the coffee and muffins in the morning. The staff was lovely.
Cons: My room faced the street, which was noisy with traffic and students into early hours of morning; room did not have a guide to TV channels; reminders for quiet and not using towels to wipe up spills seemed as if hotel catered to college crowd.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: Beautifully appointed. Clean and classy. Very friendly and attentive staff.
Cons: Had to carry luggage upstairs. No iron in room, but they ask you upon arrival and take you to your room (and will bring it if you ask).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff mad it great
Cons: breakfast was a little minimal
6.2 Good
Pros: Likes: - location by river/lock is charming - upgraded television equipment - plenty of free parking - charming concept of the old Mill - room was made up well each day - well done and clean! - bed was very comfortable, though short. Very nice pillows - this property has potential but needs a couple hundred grand invested to make it nice again
Cons: Dislikes: - Wifi is nearly non-existent, flaky at its best - no desk in room - "Full" size bed seems short - and I'm only 5'10"! - carpeting throughout needs to be replaced - elevator smells pretty musty - "breakfast" is some cold rolls from walmart, cold cereal, and coffee - filthy windows in forward stairwell - is this part of the "old mill" charm? - must be nice to be the only game in central B'ville: can get away with all of the above. - looks like owners are sucking every bit of coin they can out of this property before selling for a loss to someone with capital/expertise/time to invest. Love to see the books to see how far in the hole the are operating.

6.8 Good
Pros: The staff was very helpful (we had a late check-in and spoke with the desk the next day), and the room was comfortable. The price was appropriate and it wasn't too far from Oswego.
Cons: The door was crooked in the frame so we couldn't bolt it closed. Half of the lights via switches did not work. When the staff cleaned the room and bathroom, they left a previous guest's soap in the shower. After I requested our room not be cleaned (we were only staying one more night) I spoke to both the front desk and the ladies in our hallway with carts, but the room was still cleaned (there were no do not disturb signs). This wouldn't have bothered me so much, except they once again did not clean the old soap (or now my soap) from the bathroom shower. Most notably, they didn't empty our bag of trash from the closet area, but they did throw out a zipper from my backpack which had fallen off, so I had to buy a new backpack at Walmart to pack my things before traveling home. That was extremely annoying.
6.8 Good
Pros: The cost and location were excellent for our trip. Also enjoyed the continental breakfast in the morning.
Cons: The heater didn’t work properly. We returned from our outing the room was 98 degrees even with the thermostats all the way down and the unit on low. We had to shut it off for the night to even sleep. Also the box spring cover was very dirty and needs serious cleaning under the beds. It would have been nice to be able to see the bar but they closed so early like 9:30 pm we kept missing it.
5.7 Okay
Pros: the bar service and personnel, the continental breakfast, the morning cook, the roadway access, outside grounds had horseshoe pits plenty of tables and chairs and a pretty good view of the river
Cons: pool had algae, beds were hard as rocks with small compacted pillows [2 on each for 4 ppl], pool tables were taken over Saturday night with a tournament so no guest could use them, ice machine 2nd floor not usable, bathroom towels only 2 of each kind for 4 ppl on arrival had to go down and request more, lamp by beds had to be unplugged in order to be turned off, WiFi was sporadic when it did work and nvr exceeded 50% on any channel, air conditioner worked but was taped and pieced together fascia, nvr saw a spa, no hair dryer or microwave, CRT small TV on a huge 2 door armoire, grout between bathroom mirror and sink was dirty and nasty and nvr looked like it was cleaned, the hedges around pool were trimmed and clippings left there on sidewalk to pool
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location on the river is nice.
Cons: Blankets were dirty. Key system was broken. Side door unlocked and broken. Ice machine second floor broken. Price was high.
4.0 Okay
Cons: I had a glitch in my computer when I made my reservation so I called to confirm. The lady said "if you reserved online, you don't call me" and hung up. When I got there, there was a no smoking sign but the entire place reaked of cigarette smoke. It was dusty and dingy. The room door would not open or close without kicking it. The bed was so sunken in that you could see a crescent shape to it as soon as you walked in the room. I could have spent $50 on an air mattress for the floor and would have been more comfortable than in that room. The carpets were so dirty and stained that I was afraid to take my shoes off. The bathroom light was too dim to see enough to take a shower, which didn't matter because they gave you one small shampoo/conditioner combo bottle to share. One of the toilet paper rolls were empty and the cardboard was still on the holder. And there was supposedly free breakfast but no one told us this upon check in. I have lived in the area my whole life and Riverside Inn used to be a great place. Whoever took it over to turn it into a Red Roof really destroyed any sense of class that place had left. Such a shame.

4.2 Okay
Cons: The bed felt like I was sleeping on the boxsprings rather than a mattress. The duvet was so thin it couldn't keep anyone warm. The pillows were flat. There were small holes in the curtains. When someone was taking the trash out at six in the morning it sounded as if they were in my room. I would never stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: friendly staff reliable internet clean rooms
Cons: (1) slightly musty smell in hallways, although not in room. (2) breakfast items exhausted more than an hour before breakfast ended, including coffee. (3) no lamp next to bed; only overhead light. (4) difficult to find news channels on TV (5) would have like NPR radio stations instead of TV.

8.8 Excellent
Cons: Some things showing their age. Broken bathroom window . and door wouldn't latch
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. There's ample free ice for fisherman. There's a dunkin donuts in the parking lot and a ruby tuesdays next door
Cons: This hotel is terrible. I vowed to never stay here again, until I happened to see a price of $27 a night which I have never seen in 20 years of coming to oswego. I think I over paid! Here's a break down of the room -moldy lampshades above your bed -blood stained sheets -comforter that rarely gets washed and has been there for 15years -towels that are like sandpaper and are not cleaned w bleach as there are stains on 3 out of 5 towels -mold on the bathroom walls -windows that are rusted shut or if the open have no screen -housekeeping staff chains smokes before cleaning your room -water that goes from boiling to ice cold in a matter of seconds. Often with little warning -pubes on the walls of the shower -cracked bathroom tiles -a free breakfast you couldn't pay me to eat -a vending machine that has only one bag of m&ms left -a mattress/pillow combo set that is guaranteed to have you visiting a chiropractor when you get home -a 24hr dunkin drive thru that will keep you up with people ordering all night and day
