Would not rent me the car as I didn’t have two form of proof of address for the address listed on my drivers license (I did have them for my rental address where I live). Only solution offered was to pay them a c. £200 up front fee as a waiver.Reviewed Oct 28 2024

I arrived, and they had the wrong car. They had an SUV-type 7-seater, but I booked a people carrier van. They didn't have any available, so I had to wait 90 minutes with 3 children for the car to be ready. They claimed the issue with the booking was with Kayak/Expedia, and they made me pay the difference in upgrading the car. I showed them the booking confirmation and the picture of the van/people carrier with 9 seats, but they still made me pay. I was so tired and knew I needed the van that I had to pay to get out of the place. The manager was helpful, and the people were lovely. But I find all car rental places to be borderline crooks. This just confirmed it again for me. There are ridiculous add-ons for mileage, car seats for kids (a legal requirement), insurance, and excess. The list goes on.Reviewed Jun 4 2024

The pick up location was not welcoming... I was left waiting in the cold for quite a while. When the staff eventually turned up, I was bombarded with a bunch of hidden costs... one for a deposit of more than a Thousand pounds!!
