Everything was wonderful. The rooms were spacious and worth the money, the staff was polite and helpful and the free putt putt golf in front fit right in! Me and my fiancee' thouroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you. Cant think of much.
Absolutely gross. Didn't like anything about it. Old, smelted, homeless people in the parking lot. It was absolutely disgusting.
Location was great. Minutes from the beach. Quiet place. Bed was uncomfortable bathroom was small and awkward to use. Lobby smelled old and needed a little updated.
The rooms were very clean, staff was very helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the breakfast. There was a shuttle that took us and brought us back from the cruise port, and they allowed us to park our car for the week we were on our cruise, which saved us a lot of money. Loved the mini golf course which was free to the guest. I would stay here again.
The closest to the water park, the pool and the miniature golf in the hotel. Also the fact that they accommodated a simple crib for our 2 year old. The miniature golf had some bad spots that made my son mad he could not do.
Price and location wasn't bad. Homeless guy telling me about his problems. Started with my oldest son, if I hadn't shown up I think he would of tried to rob my son. Not hotels fault though.
The location was very convenient, and our room was clean. Checking in and out was very easy. The price was much more affordable than other hotels available at the last minute. I didn't try the breakfast, use the internet, or turn on the tv, so I can't comment on that. Staff at the front desk was helpful and friendly. I will definitely look at staying here again. The bed wasn't very comfortable, but the rest of the stay was great.
Very clean Breakfast could have been a little better
Cold A/C, comfortable beds, flat screen TV, table and chairs, microwave, fridge, etc. Standard room with functioning amenities. Will return based on location, and room and amenity quality. One of the front desk personnel must've received their customer service training from a pit bull chewing on a wasp. The immediate, outright, disrespect was unmatched. When she brought up my reservation she said, "one double". I tried to clarify by asking if that meant two double beds and she said if I wanted two double that meant I wanted two rooms. Instead of explaining to her the concept of mattress sizes, I confirmed that there were two beds in the one room and paid. Got to the room and a bed was missing a comforter. Of course when I called, the same person answered. Instead of getting a comforter our rooms were switched. I asked if someone would bring the new key or if I needed to come get it, she shined again, "you can come get it". At least the person who handed me the new key was polite and apologetic whilst the other one stood in the background grimacing. Everything else after that went as planned. First hotel review ever but felt the need to do this one. Just because people choose a less expensive, non-seawall blvd hotel, it doesn't mean they deserve to be treated like sh*t. I would generally defend myself in these situations but we were in a hurry to meet up with our other party elsewhere for dinner. Based on her attitude, I think it would have just compounded the situation.
Room had microwave and refrigerator with freezer. Was nice to be able to cook and eat in room. No complaints.
Due to another awful hotel's service, my husband and I had to make a last minute hotel change at 3:30 in the morning. Beachcomber staff was more than willing to not only check us in at such a late hour bit accommodate or request for quiet to sleep. The motel was clean and quiet and was within walking distance to the beach. Lots of food and stores nearby. We were very happy with our switch and stay. Breakfast was ok. More selection would have been great. Coffee was great, though!
Wonderful place for the price. Really liked s the location. Clean rooms. Only downside is weak continental breakfast.
I wanted an inexpensive place to lay my head while we took in the sights. They had wifi, and a/c. These were the only good things. And it was a block from seawall One wastebasket for whole room. Bunch of workers staying there, bbqing in the parking lot and playing loud music. Oh let's not forget the night I went out to my car to find a homeless man sleeping in the stairwell. Called front desk twice before they shooed him away, after acting like I was putting them out for asking them to remove him.
It's location and staff are really cool Ac auto cut makes sounds
Older motel but very clean. Great location. Walking distance to beach, restaurants, and grocery store. Bed a little hard.
Location was great and comfy beds. Found one creepy bug in bathroom.
I like that it was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, location about 1/8 of a mile from the beach, and the breakfast was good. The beds are a little stiff and they need thicker bed covers.
I liked we could walk to the beach from the hotel. So didn't have to pay for parking It looks really run down but it served its purpose. The room was clean and slept okay in the beds
me and my husband decided to stay at this hotel the day before we left for our cruise we didn't get in till around 11 p.m. check in was easy we got a key wasn't a card key. there was no elevator so we had to look all of our luggage upstairs we got into the room and it was nice and cold I love the cold. everything seemed fine and clean it wasn't the best room I've ever stayed in but for the price it worked there is a window in the room that lets light in that has a curtain over it but it's a very thin curtain. the pillows are comfortable in the sheets seemed pretty clean overall I would stay again it was really close to the cruise terminal I just wish they had a elevator. Also the main room looked run down. The lobby looks like you're entering a gas station and didn't really seem all that clean or organized. But I will I would stay again. Pillows, coldness of rooms
The rooms were OK, and looked newer. Very outdated. Needs a lot of work. When I walked into the lobby, it stunk and was not very appealing. I had a screw as a closet door knob. The pool was super green and we couldn't swim in it at all (or didn't want to). The private balcony would have been nice except the air conditioner leaks all over it.There was no info about wifi, or how to work TVs. Had several people come up to us as we were trying to unpack or leave asking for money and food. The Owners (I think) of people who ran the front desk were not very friendly at all. I will not be staying here again. I would have rather spent more money and stayed somewhere else.
The beds were comfortable. No peephole on doors. No double locks. Strong odor from cooking.
Perfect motel for sleeping. We were in Galveston for Mardi Gras and needed a place to stay. Perfect place and right on the beach front.
We went with this, one of the cheapest hotels around which is a good thing. We really liked the location with lots of things in walking distance. This property is not well maintained at all. They don't seem to care about keeping it up and they certainly do not use professionals for the repairs, and remodels that is attempted. Bad tile work, bad design picks, and old old old. Wife was totally creped out by the room. As a man, I thought is was OK, just OK. Mattress had plastic sealed on it, perhaps to fight the bed bugs which seem rampant on this island from what I read. Bedding was clean.
The room had a hasty smell.
Nothing Completely nasty people standing around drinking beer smoking dope look like cracked heads. Before you even open the door you smelt chemicals when you finally did open the door it's melt of a toxic Roach bomb. Very very unhappy
Everything was fine. We stay at this Motel6 every time we come to Galveston (about 4 or 5 times a year). Its deff. better than before the upgrade but e usually only sleep and shower here so its great for what we need. Plus they don't charge deposit for our dog or extra for kids. Noisy Neighbors
Small, clean, and had friendly staff. Great place for the price. Beds were not the most comfortable. Wished this motel had a place to grab breakfast in the morning.
Nicely painted walls and new floors. Plenty of fresh linens. Great price.
lumpy bed, no shampoo or coffee
Clean and staff was nice Didn't seem to be much parking.
My wife left her credit card at the front desk after checking in. We did not know that it was left there, after we were in our room for 5 or 10 min. someone brought her card to our room. This could have been a big blow to our lives, but they saved the day. I is a little hard to find the drive way cause it is in the back.
Only one guy was helpful in dealing with the room above us stomping on the floors and making tons of noise Huge cockroaches, room service takes accommodations when not empty or used, and does not replace. Also found old coffee in pot, room was overall dirty. Staff can barely speak English, or has a bad attitude, lots of noise through walls and ceiling. Will never book with super 8 again.
it was close to the coast we booked a king smoking room on line when we got there we were informed that they did not offer the room we booked.
Breakfast was okay We ask for non smoker room and we got a room that smelled like cigarette checking staff rude, Morning staff so much nicer
Very good value for the money. Carpet needs cleaning.
I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was so much larger than i expected, especially for the price. It was clean, well kept, staff was friendly, and I was so close to the beach. I liked everything, really. No complaints here! :)
Large room No table and chairs
This wasn't the fanciest of hotels but it was clean and a great value!! We only showered and slept in the room so we weren't looking for fancy. It was perfect for our on the go mentality.
The staff was excellent and helpful. Thanks to Katie and Beth. I accidentally left something in the room and they called and were helpful
It was close to the beach. It was dirty. It looked thrown together not finished the bed where all stained up. You only got one towel not going back and don't recommend this place for anyone
This place was not the fanciest place but. It suited our purpose just fine. We were close to everything. It was quiet Rooms were a little run down.
Location This is the worst motel I ever stay in my life and we pay $200 a nite for a $30 motel
Nothing Horrible, nasty looking, need to be renovated and it has insects.
Everything is poor quality.
The only positive thing from my stay was the roof over my head during a heavy rain and close proximity to the 'Pleasure Pier'. Other than that, this is the worst motel I have ever seen or stayed in. Old towels, dirty pillow case, clogged drain in the bath tub, refrigerator with the door that will not stay closed, sugar ants in bed, dirty 'front desk', cable TV would lose signal very often, unfriendly front desk lady.
Close to beach, food, and entertainment. This place is disgusting. The water leaks from the ceiling were scary. The bed frames were made of 2X4s. The toilet was so close to the wall that you had to sit on it sideways. The shower floor was nasty slimey. The shower curtain was covered with fuzzy mold. There was no water pressure. We only had hot water one day. Cable TV didn't work. The electrical circuitry in the room was a fire hazard. The hole in the wall from the old air conditioner was covered with a piece of plywood and an tiny window unit was cut into the middle of it. There is little to no insulation in the walls, so the a/c was not able to keep up. The area for the free breakfast was tiny, un-airconditioned, stained and sticky to touch. The crack heads in the parking lot are a major source for discomfort. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy staying there. Especially not for $130 a night.
Nothing Everything, no parking,
Close to the beach When sitting on toilet your knees are jammed into the wall across from you, the bathrooms are tiny. I'm 5'5. The shower was also tiny. The "clean" sheets had black specks on them and someone else's hair. The AC was set to 60 (and wouldn't go any lower) but we were still on the verge of sweating. The neighbors next to us were extremely loud. We ended up leaving after 3 hours because we were so frustrated. I paid almost 140 dollars to stay here and left in 3 hours cause it was so horrible.
Didn't like it one bit but the location was nice but not a very nice place for the what I had to pay. I don't recommend there to anyone unless they don't mind staying in a crappy place. I woke up to finding a bed bug...
the only thing i liked was the tv and the staff and close location to beach carpet was wet, room smelled, dirty, unsafe,, nowjhere to park after a certain hour.
It's nothing like the 5 star hotels but u get what u pay for its very clean and comfortable staff is very friendly and attentive
Literally nothing at all. The area, the owner, the rooms, the building... The legit air you breathe is disgusting. Don't stay here. I was tryna find a room for one night and ended wasting my money. Didn't even stay my one night and this place capitalized on a horrible night.
Great location to go to Strand. Most other hotels booked and wanted $289.00 to $349.00 per night and wanted 2 nights. Excellent for the price. Staff was friendly and got us in a room within 15 minutes D White
Clean, comfortable and polite staff
Front desk staff nice and room was odor free and clean.
Easy access to the cruise facilities at Galveston, TX. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Available choices for dining in the neighborhood are limited.
Room was a nice size. Had three chairs. The bed was like sleeping on concrete. I could hardly move the next day. There was black hair on the shower wall! GROSS! No microwave.
Location is everything.....too far for taste
