The staff was incredibly nice! I've been upgraded which is always pleasing.
Friendly and smiling personel at the reception ready to help you .
1.Grand Hotel Kempinsky is a luxury hotel, but what was more then excellent was staff attitude , help, and feeling they serve you without feeling they waiting for tips as many times I felt at other hotels, any problem at each level was answered promptly and pleasantly always over any expectations we might have. They give more then necessary on any request like our satisfaction is their only purpose. The hotel restaurants are excellent , the staff very honest in their help thinking for us benefit. We inquired for a special dish -well the waiter suggested that maybe we should share it as it might be enough for sharing. We got this italian speciality it was excellent and indeed enough for two and it was not the most expensive choice on the menu. They give us cards for public transport in Geneva good for train, bus or tram, or the boat in front of the hotel to take us over the lake in the middle of Geneva downtown. Only point of weakness we found was the slow WIFI in our room, but instead they gave us free wired internet connection super fast both at upload and download. That served any business connection I needed.
very good location the leisure facilities were closed for refurb ,also the bar and 2 of the restaraunts - we were not informed by e-mail about this
Perfect! very comfortable, very beautiful, everything is well done! no compliances at all!!
The staff were very courteous. We had a nice view from our window. The lounge near the entrance is lovely but the furniture is very uncomfortable. Room 123 was nicely decorated. Room 324 less so. Both nights were disrupted by loud music from the bar below. After midnight on the 2nd night, we asked to be moved to another room. Packing our luggage and moving (into a worse room) added to the aggravation of the noise problem. We lost 4 hours sleep and received no compensation on our bill when we checked out. We would not choose this hotel again.
Location of the Hotels is superior, food is one of the best in the city, every guest feels recognised and welcomed. I would recommend the Hotel to my every friend. No
its a too expensive accomodation
the room was quiet cold and noissy because of the aircondition what i could no close....
Convenience of location, firendly welcome afforded by all hotel staff, comfortable and perfectly sound-proofed room.
Hotel is convenient to the waterfront and rail station. Hotel is in dire need of a renovation. The elevators are ancient, slow and can only manage 2 persons with baggage. Probably can't fix this...but room lock technology was not working well. For me and someone else at that same time. Rooms are clean but spartan...lacking any design creativity. Bathtub/shower is too narrow, deep and combination with a smooth floor makes for an awkward (and hazardous) in/out. For the rate I was charged, I expected much better.
I loved the staff, their friendliness and willingness to help. It is clean and well kept and cozy. They had umbrellas for you to borrow which was great since it rained all day while I was there and I was unprepared. It is rather small, so not good for multiple people and the beds are not the most comfortable but they served it's purpose.
Unfortunately the first 2 days no decent room was available. Consequently I spent the 2 nights in a very small room without heat in November in Geneva! The last 2 nights were fine
Excellent service. Wicked friendly and helpful staff.
Stuff was inadequate!!! They didn't know anything about the city of Geneva, they were very late at any requests we had (e.g. extra linens we asked for, came 4 hours later)
Ready for early check-in, which was not expected by us Very helpful staff at the front desk Comfortable enough Close to things to see and do Safe neighborhood Breakfast too expensive, but plenty of other places available
We had a large and well-appointed room in a hotel quite near to the centre of Geneva. Good and free wifi, bathroom with a bathtub (not just a shower). Good value for Geneva. The lighting in the room is too dim to read in bed. I would suggest investing in some higher-wattage light bulbs. The reception advised us that the Seleve cable car would be open but it was not, so we wasted a trip. And the lobby really does smell of cheese (but not the room).
