I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York & I was looking for something nice to do while I was on sick leave & Playland was perfect. Everything is so central plus the room is fun & different plus CLEAN! Staff are laid back & sweet! It was a nice getaway from city life to a laid back Hamptons/ Williamsburg vibe :) The food was my only complaint. The appetizers were okay, but it was like a 5 year old created the menu & cooked the food... Flavor & ingredient wise. Presentation of the food was perfect but tasted horribly. Don't order the jerk chicken - & also the choice of cups was also sized for children instead of adults but I saw out in the patio.
It was cheap and close to the subway stop. The rooms were interesting. We got there too late for the beach party but the area has a very hipster vibe to it. It's close to the beach. The bathrooms are not in the room. There are no TV's, but that's not a big issue for me.
None Poor moteL as like poor country cheap motel. No parking lot. No oganized frontdesk & staff. Even no shampoo
Tried contacting them to add a day to my stay, nobody ever replied to my email. (Email which they requested me to send when I called)
I liked the size of the room and that the location was very accessible.
We checked in after 1am the check in person told us that he will extend our stay until 2am although that's pushing it but we checked in late. It was appreciated. In the morning we got a call from someone so rude we told him what we were told, he said no way you gotta go at 12. At this point I was annoyed and insulted. This person should not be at the front desk, no customer service skills I told him to check with the other person because 2pm it is. I would have been fine leaving but that nasty attitude. A half hour after the conversation, housekeeping pushed the door. She was most courteous and so apologetic as she was not told. The front desk people, need training. Not convinced I would stay there again!
The sheets were old, had holes, and very itchy. the heat was blowing out cold air. bathtub was dirty. King bed with two flat pillows. Never again. Unpleasant stay
The front desk was very nice and easy to check in. Looked like a Motel from the outside. but the rooms were very clean and modern. Nice comfortable beds too.
PARKING IN BACK EVERYTHING FOR THE MONEY ABSOLUTELY NO VALUE SURE CLOSE TO JFK....SO WHAT WAS ON BUSINESS IN THE AREA ALL HOTELS ARE OVER PRICED PLACE NEEDS A PAINT JOB. FEELS LIKE A FUNERAL PARLOUR
The location is good, easy access to many locations on long island. The bed was so uncomfortable that my back still hurt a week later. The AC clicked on and off all night (despite being on the correct setting) and it was incredibly loud/rattling/screeching, constantly waking me up after finally falling asleep on the brick-bed. The AC also left a huge puddle on the floor. The shower curtain had holes in it. The walls were thick with dirt.
We live in the area and decided to do a little "staycation"... Yes, a little out of date, but very clean, no odor, very nice staff, right next to the beach, few restaurants. Clean nice size pool for the little ones. This is perfect for those on a budget or those who live in the city and want a place to relax. Right on the gold Coast, there a ton of nature preserves in the area too. (Bailey, Japanese stroll garden, Planting Fields etc.) No coffee maker in the room.
for a motel this place isnt half bad. very clean, has almost a home feel to it and the bathrooms are bright and like new. hair dryer and ironing board in room. no microwave but theres a refrigerator and tv. we had people in the rooms surrounding and heard no one... overall i have no complaints. theres a mexican restaurant attached out front that serves breakfast through dinner. we didnt try it out but it seemed busy.
Lousy customer service. I arrived around 8pm and there were only two greasy spoon restaurants still open. Parking area access was one lane in AND out, so cars were parked on the sidewalk.
Nothing, completely awful experience The room, location, the staff!! No hospitality, they tried to charge me extra
It is close to JFK airport. Staff is very friendly and they provided all what they could. For amount of money that you pay, you get pretty enough. I would definitely go back there, if I am around that area. It is little bit dark around hotel. Facility looks old, inside and outside. It is noisy but again, it is very cheap price. Taxi consider this area outside of the city and it is more expensive than usually.
Close to the airport. Hotel attracts suspicious guests.
Clean staff are nice good location Heat didn't work room vas very cold
Nothing.. I canceled after one night. they allowed hookers in paying room by the hour, the place was discusting. Nothing.. I canceled after one night. they allowed hookers in paying room by the hour, the place was discusting.
Not far from subway and buses direct to Manhattan, lots of restaurants, shop, bars and parks in the direct neighborhood. Breakfast a bit disappointing but ok for the hotel price
nothing dirty condoms in the front of the room, do i need to say more?
Good location I'm surprise...this hotel is listed in Kayak/Hotel.com I was shocked to see the condition of my room. Anyone else would have ran! "you get what you paid for" just doesn't cut it, it was $90 a night. The walls were dirty and full of holes. The carpet floor were utterly disgusting...dark and full of gum spots. It's was the most hideous hotel I have ever stay, and I've been to many cheaper ones. Why didn't I asked for a new room? I did, it was the least smoky room.
The prices was reasonable No
It was close to the airport and Rockaway Beach The smell of smoke was unbearable. The beds were beyond uncomfortable. The rooms were not clean. The phone rang at 2:51 in the morning to ask us to take the phone off the hook because they were working on it. Doesn't look bad from outside, awful inside.
