Pros: The room was spacious and VERY CLEAN! If you want a place to stay that's close to both Saratoga Spings and Lake George and is affordable this is the perfect place. It's also very close to I-87. Plus, the town of Glens Falls has enough restaurants and shops, with enough street parking available. The motel is also less than 4 mi away from Moreau Lake State Park.
Cons: Like most motels, they don't have a restaurant and vendo machine only for soda.

Pros: The owner's hospitality is unmatched. And the place is genuinely fine in its maintenance. It's a budget motel, but it offers all the comforts you need. I love being remembered whenever I return.

Pros: The owner treated us like family and went the extra mile to make my son and I feel like we were staying with friends and family. What a great experience. I usually go the chain hotel route but this has really changed my mind. I can’t say enough about the great customer service provided.

5.0 Okay
Pros: The food is the best part of the hotel. The portion size is H U G E. Split a plate if you are not super hungry.
Cons: The 2nd floor staircase, which leads to the first floor pool is a DISGRACE. It is dark, dirty and disgusting. Why not just put keycard entry into the pool from the main floor. THAT DISGUSTING STAIRWAY TO THE POOL IS A MAJOR TURNOFF!!!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! Very bright cheerful hotel---several nice upgrades in the 5-6 years we've been going there.
Cons: Slow service in Fenimore's . We almost left--it was busy and when our order was in the food came relatively quick. No big deal
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful 1920s decor. Comfortable beds.
Cons: Slow drain in the shower was a drag. I let the front desk know but it wasn’t fixed. Small bathroom.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast service has improved. The bar is very nice.
Cons: Our air conditioning unit was very loud and the compressor would turn on and off all night. There was no option to leave it on continuously. We asked if something could be done and it slightly improved the second night, but clearly there was something wrong with the a/c unit. In the end, it was two sleepless nights, really. They are making improvements to the property, so hopefully this will be on their list.

Cons: Liked everything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The selections for the breakfast buffet was expectational and I loved the fresh waffle maker! I also loved how the beds were clean and there was an indoor pool!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Good breakfast (hard boiled eggs, wafflemaker, as well as the traditional cereals, yogurt etc. Comfortable beds and linens, clean room, attractive indoor pool.
Cons: Room had only one chair (a very nice desk chair) and room would have been crowded with another chair, but for two people, only one chair. Minor to us as we only stayed one night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness was awesome
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Pool was cold, no hot tub ☹️
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was very good! A bit crowded because it was a popular time, apparently. The mattress was very comfortable, the layout of the room very nice. The shower was a bit of a surprise... and quite a lot of water dripped from the shower outside to the floor. But it did dry up, to my surprise. Also, I appreciated being able to get PLAIN scrambled eggs without sausage, cheese, because I don't eat those. The bacon, I didn't take because it wasn't crisp...
Cons: The duvet on the bed is VERY HEAVY. The other hotel I normally stay at has a light-weight thermal blanket (cotton) that my husband and I always put on the bed. It's always in the closet. I guess I should have asked for one down at the desk, but by the time I realized I wasn't going to be able to stay asleep under the heavy cover, I was too tired to call, and didn't want anyone coming up at that hour (shortly after midnight). Instead, I took the bed apart and just used the top of the bedspread, doubled up, as an extra sheet, and that thankfully worked. Next time I won't hesitate to ask for a REGULAR blanket. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND why hotels think that a heavy cover is necessary. yes, it looks nice ont he bed, and but IT FEELS LIKE I'm SUFFOCATING! I like to be warm and a little weight is good - that that's WAY over what's helpful. Sorry, but that's the truth!
5.8 Okay
Pros: Like that it was close to shopping ,restaurant And attraction.
Cons: Hated that we had to ask for extra shampoo and conditioner every day at front desk Also air conditioner was not up to par
6.3 Good
Pros: The location and pool
Cons: They did not make up our rooms
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The included breakfast was good. The room was very comfortable and the location was close to everything! The staff were friendly. We also got discounted tickets there for six flags.
Cons: We had to keep getting our keycard fixed because it didn’t always work but the staff was more than happy to help us.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast was great and the staff was nice.
Cons: Whirlpool tub was very gross, lots of black soap scum. I have pictures of it. Walls had something on one of them that looked like sauce or blood.

8.3 Excellent (67 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at Wakita Motel in Queensbury, you'll be near the beach, within a 5-minute drive of Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom and Outlets at Lake George. Free self parking is available onsite.
7.0 Good
Pros: The location! And the price!
Cons: Several things: There was no coffee maker in the room, as advertised. The front desk gave me one that was hanging around. It was dirty and moldy. I returned it. I was offered to go up to the Country Inn and use there onsite coffee/hot water bar. Which I did. A bit of an inconvenience but I did get my hot water. The pool was dirty. It had leaves and debris in it. The gal on duty could have cleaned it before the afternoon crowned came fo their swim. There was no hairdryer in the room. I went to the Country Inn at 6:43aM to request one. I was told that the Wakita Court office would open at 7. So I returned to my room and waited until 7:40AM to call the emergency number to request a hair dryer. The gal fro The Country Inn came down with a dryer and told me that the office would be staffed at 9AA. So I wasted 1 hour waiting for a dryer because of misinformation and lack of follow thru by front desk staff at CI. I was late for my appointment. The front door lock was very difficult to use. it needs to be replaced. I wrote to the manager at the CI...Alicia Mattison on Sunday with my concerns and my review. To date , I have not received an answer....apology or some consideration for not having a stay that was as advertised. So I am very disappointed.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: So close To The Great Escape.!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every thing such a great location end so clean I definitely recommend
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The beds were comfortable. They actually called me to confirm and were super friendly. Easy check in, super friendly staff. Got extra towels with no issues. The guests were even friendly! Right next to the best food place Martha's and great escape for family fun. An awesome seat for thier fireworks as well by the little cute bbq area .
Cons: It was a but pricey for the modernization of the motel. Was a basic room nothing really special . You pay for location basically . however the staff was awesome and super friendly little place . They care about thier guests.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Cheap and cheerful but exactly right for a motel next to a 6 flags.
9.3 Excellent
Cons: Staff was friendly & helpful. Room was clean & spacious. The only concern was, why wasn't the filter running in the pool, at all, during our 2 day stay? Pool could of used a cleaning from bottom of the pool. It wasn't terribly dirty, just needed a vacuum & some debris removed. All & All, Very cute motel, Will definitely stay again
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The location is ideal to walk to the Great Escape and Martha's ice cream. Close to Drive-in theatre, mini-golf, outlets and restaurants.
Cons: The toilet didn't flush well. A handyman came to fix it once, but we still had to pour water in the tank the rest of our stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was the best part right next to theme park
Cons: Nothing
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The wakita is unusual in that it is right next to the great escape roller coaster. The rooms are clean and quiet. Beds great and rooms darkened by great curtains. Slept well.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, convenient and quiet. We spent our Father's Day weekend there with our children to go to Six Flags, it's was really nice. Extremely close, our rooms were ready that morning we arrived, very clean, great friendly service from a young lady named Taylor! She made us feel very welcome and comfortable! Definitely will recommend and/or visit again! Thank you
Cons: Wasn't too bad but maybe the pool could of been a little cleaner.

6.8 Good
Pros: Staff excellent and helpful
Cons: Rooms lacked in workmanship
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff was very friendly and helpful! When we checked in he asked if we would like to be upgraded to a king size room for the same rate. He also offered to help carry out luggage checking in and out. The bed was very comfortable.
Cons: It said we would have an iron and ironing board with the king room and it didn't. The coffee maker supplied by them had to be used in the bathroom unless we unplugged the refrigerator or microwave. The towel fixture in the bathroom was falling off the wall. The room needed to be updated a little for the value we payed. We have stayed at nicer hotels for the same price that where nicer quality and bigger
9.0 Excellent

Cons: Can't think of anything.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location, pets allowed
Cons: Too expensive, even given its proximity to a tourist area. There was no damper on the stairway door, so it slammed every time someone went through. Very loud, especially at night. Guests partying outside our room.

Six Flags Lodge & Indoor Waterpark offers an ideal way for families to enjoy an exciting vacation while beating the heat. It features an indoor waterpark that allows visitors to swim, splash, and play to their heart's content no matter what time of year it is or what the weather is like outdoors. The suites at Six Flags Lodge & Indoor Waterpark follow a couple different layouts. The first are traditional suites that are large and spacious. Each one comes with a large kitchenette so guests can make their own food if they like or store leftovers from one of the on-site restaurants. Next are the themed rooms, which come with a special kid-sized log cabin known as the Klub Moose Suite. This is a "No Parents Allowed Zone" with bunk beds and a private television. The Indoor Waterpark at Six Flags Lodge is known as White Water Bay. This is a fun waterpark that has something for the entire family, from small swimmers all the way up to adults. Some of the waterpark features include the Tall Timbers Treehouse that's full of obstacles kids can climb, slide and swing on, the Tak-It-Eesi Creek, which is a lazy river that runs the length of the water park, and the Avalanche, which is a giant family-sized tube slide. Outside of these, guests can explore the Glacier Falls racing tube slide, Boogie Bear Surf Pool, Tip-A-Kanu-Beach for young swimmers and the adult-oriented Soakum Spring. There are several different dining options for guests at Six Flags Lodge & Indoor Waterpark. These are primarily fast and casual options so guests can get back to the business of having fun. On-site, visitors can try out Johnny Rockets, a classic American diner, Tall Tales Tavern, Birch Bark Grill, or Tall Pines Coffee for a pick-me-up in the morning.
6.8 Good
Pros: Well the lodge, and indoor water park were great and the staff was very pleasant.
Cons: The indoor park was slightly under staffed but they were getting it done. Once again booking was wrong about the free breakfast that’s advertised. The free breakfast is only for the big suites. The theme park was an absolute joke. We had nothing but problems with the park and staff. All from waiting on half hour lines for drinks to find out they had no cups to serve us with, being very under staffed run down and un maintained. And the staff other than being short handed in main park is run by inexperienced kids.
7.0 Good
Cons: The beds were awful. Not comfortable at all. They seemed to be broken
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved our stay. The staff is super friendly and they offer great activities for the kids.
Cons: The water park could include a wave pool.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great size room for a family of 4-5. Great staff. Very convenient location for theme park accesd
Cons: Minor water damage in the bathroom
4.5 Okay
Pros: My son liked the waterpark. The laundry room was fairly clean. Restaurant had vegetarian and fish options. The check-in was smooth and the staff helpful.
Cons: Room was dirty - mattress had a big stain on it - we had to get housekeeping to bring a new one, even the Do Not Disturb door hanger had something nasty on it. Room was dated, smelled and too few towels. No suit dryer for suits.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The unlimited drink cups. The people were awesome. Love the whole place.
Cons: The prices of the food. Limited selection of stuff to eat. It cost us without drinks $60 for 4 meals. Outrageous!
4.3 Okay
Cons: The beds were comfortable but the sheets had holes in them. The stairwells had large cobwebs spiders and spider eggs in them. There was dust in the bathroom in our room and the air conditioner was leaking on the floor in our room
4.3 Okay
Pros: liked how kid oriented it was
Cons: The pizza that they overcharge you for through room service is absolutely disgusting. some places seemed outdated. Some nice features but needs a facelift. For what you pay would be nice to get something worth that money.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The indoor water park and the location. Very close to activities around Saratoga and Lake George.
Cons: Room was a little run down. Bathroom was dirty, front door was scratched , and run down. The lights next to the bed didn't work. Realize it's a family hotel, but we had people next to us and above us running and screaming until 12:30 a couple night
1.0 Poor
Cons: It was awful!
4.3 Okay
Pros: The girl at the front desk was helpful but unfortunately she wasn't there everyday and other were not. We will not be going back will stay somewhere else for less
Cons: Overpriced and not as advertised. Room was small for 260 a night and hotel lobby and surrounding areas were a mess at 6am so nobody cleaned. Maid service was like a 6 year old cleaned. Cost 82.00 for unlimited drink cups (4) and was limited to every 30 minutes so not unlimited. Machine malfunctioned so if you didn't get your drink you could not have one. 48.00 for family chicken tenders...12 chicken tenders were more like chicken nuggets and feed 2 children. Dissapointing for the cost for sure.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Location to six flags
Cons: Checked into our room found hair in tub used shampoo bottle no towers and Kayla at front desk rude

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Always meets my expectations. Conveniently located on my way to Vermont. Good restaurants nearby. One exit away from Lake George Outlet Mall
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The dining area was too small not enough seating for the size of the hotel. Continental breakfast was pretty much what I expected from staying in other hotels. The location of the hotel was excellent in my opinion for our needs, it was centrally located for all the things we wanted to do, only a ten-minute ride from Lake George. If you plan on sitting out back at the picknick tables beware, they have sprinklers on a timer, I didn't know that it was refreshing though!
Cons: Well, I understand why there is no room service if you bring a dog, for safety reasons! But then, in my opinion, they also shouldn't charge you $30 a night if you are required to maintain your room. I think it would be nice if this policy was explained to you before you show up, not at the front desk. Don't get me wrong I have no problem with cleaning, it's the $30 I don't understand! Getting out of the parking lot could be a little annoying, if you are heading to Lake George it's easy, just turn right the on-ramp is right there, but if you want to go into town you have to do a U-turn, heavy traffic between 09 am and 05 pm.
7.5 Good
Pros: Convenient locaton that seemed clean and fairly well maintained.
Cons: It’s a basic hotel. Not much not to like if you understand that going in.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Clean
Cons: Hard beds. Very pricey, price dropped $70 after I checked in for the same room type.
6.0 Good
Pros: The pool area was well kept and the water was kept at a perfect temperature but the only hours it is open is from 9-9.
Cons: The rooms could have been a little cleaner and the bed that I slept on was very hard. So I slept on the floor which was more comfortable. The breakfast seating area is way too small compared to the number of rooms in the hotel.
7.5 Good
Pros: The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast was good but,not the coffee.
Cons: was Looking. Forward to a good cup of coffee.

7.0 Good

6.3 Good
Pros: Shower was awsome, large room easy access,
Cons: Dirty floor/ mildew/stain on ac
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely great shower.
5.8 Okay
Pros: The front desk manager and housekeeper was friendly. The bathroom was beautifully tiled with a state-of-the-art shower. There are also nice antique furniture pieces in the classroom. The refrigerator/freezer in the room were clean and larger than I expected. The mattresses were comfortable pillow-tops. The A/C worked quickly and kept the room cold. The town of Fort Edward is a quiet town with an historical interest. It is close to some fun attractions, as well.
Cons: The property was being renovated, which is a great thing. However, signs for parking and check-in/check-out were nowhere to be found. We weren't expected by the front desk manager, and it took about 5-7 minutes just to find the reservation on their computer. There was broken furniture outside the room doors, as well as cigarette butts in a container. The room was sort of clean, but had a half-smoked cigarette in the windowsill. We had requested a non-smoking room. The bedding had a burn mark on it, and the sheets were very low quality. The towels are half-sized towels. The grout in the bathroom was riddled with mildew, as well as a few cobwebs.
8.0 Excellent

4.0 Okay
Pros: The price
Cons: The bathroom smelled musty. There was a dirty washcloth crumpled on the floor from a previous guest. Water was very sliw draining the tub. Room was small.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Actually stayed here for three nights, the room was in my friends name for the other two nights. The location is good to the Saratoga race track and Lake George. I have been going to the races for 40 years, it`s about 20 minutes to the track, and many of our favorite restaurants are up that way. Bathroom was clean, beds were comfortable. Girl at the front desk, and housekeeping were friendly, didn`t try the breakfast.
Cons: The place had an odd smell to it, got use to it after the first night. Carpet felt dirty in bare feet, didn`t look like it was vacuumed from day to day either. Other than that, the room was clean.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Breakfast so cheap for the price of the room

Pros: All of the above
Cons: no

Pros: The Staff was very nice. They were very helpful. The price of the room was better than the surrounding area. The coffee was good my husband and daughter said.

Pros: Location was great. Friendly service. Overall clean.
Cons: The smell of old, damp. The rooms need to be aired out more.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: Seemed to be a bit run down. No refrigerator and elevator caught me off guard.
6.0 Good
Pros: Fairly clean. convenient. You get what you pay for here. Nothing to write home about.
Cons: It's really NOT a free breakfast. It's a few wrapped up muffins that taste like corn syrup and carboard. But if the breakfast being sub-par is of no issue to you, it's an OK place to stay overnight.
7.0 Good
Pros: The staff was friendly and attentive. The man that helped us at the front desk was very nice and accommodating.
Cons: The original room we were given was not cleaned when we got in. But all was fine, we were assigned another room which was ready and cleaned.
4.3 Okay
Pros: Girls were all nice
Cons: Whole place needs a complete remodel. Chair was broken rug disgusting sheets were stained and gray room just old and smelled like cigarette and musty.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful.
Cons: The room overall was very clean and comfortable, but after the room was serviced, I slept on two "fresh" pillows that had stains, which I found when I turned the pillows over.

3.0 Mediocre
Cons: Run down bathroom door handle almost off just poorly kept up
5.5 Okay
Pros: The room was from 1950-1960. I think Everything was original. (leaks and all) They did keep it very clean though. I was not afraid of going barefoot on the rugs. Innkeeper was very friendly along with cleaning staff.
Cons: Would like the towels and damaged items in the room to have been replaced a long time ago. Road noise is a bit excessive. could use some TLC in the grounds for the noise and in the rooms to fix the simple things. a little re-arrangement of furniture might help the flow the room.
4.5 Okay
Cons: Price is little higher
5.5 Okay
Cons: Rundown property.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Bed was comfortable and temperature of room was great upon arrival. We asked for a fan for white noise while sleeping the owner brought one to us.
Cons: The amount of electrical outlets in the room. Outdated bathroom.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing. Hotel was terrible, room had odor, sheets had holes in them. Door key only worked after 10 minutes of struggle every time.
Cons: Hotel was terrible, room had odor, sheets had holes in them. Door key only worked after 10 minutes of struggle every time.
7.0 Good
Pros: I liked the set up of the rooms.
Cons: the beds were so uncomfortable.
4.5 Okay
Pros: Easy to find, but farther away from Lake George than I expected. The beds were clean and surprisingly comfortable, with thinner pillows than I am used to in a hotel/motel. AC was cold, tv was new.
Cons: Supposed to be a non-smoking room, but the stench of stale smoke and mustiness assaulted my nasal passages. Our night clothes reeked of it when I unpacked at home later. Worst though, was the filth on the toilet seat. At first I thought that there were black cigarette burns on the toilet seat, but a swipe with tissue paper (toilet paper, no box of tissues provided in this room!) revealed black dust or dirt... perhaps cigarette ash, but more likely black mold. Fortunately, I had bleach spray and cleaner in my trunk n was able to thoroughly clean all surfaces we would be touching before using the bathroom. Eww. The motel is run down, with torn window coverings and yellowing shower curtain, and severely dated.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Great value and convenient location.
Cons: Owner was very nice and accommodating. Went above and beyond.
7.0 Good
Cons: It was difficult making multiple trips to the car because there was no direct access to the parking lot due to few openings from the p-lot to the walkway in front of the rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: I love how friendly the staff was when checking in early then thought very welcoming to me to. The room was very comfortable beds and very clean. Liked how close the hotel was up from Walmart when I needed to get something for my kiddo.
Cons: No ice machine ☹️
7.5 Good
Pros: It was an old school motor inn
Cons: Bathroom could be updated
