Can't give much of a review. Was there on business for one night. Location was convenient. Exterior was impressive. Room was nice. I was not expecting much, so it met my needs. Would stay again.

I was very dissatisfied with our stay. I planned a last minute staycation with my daughter. The weather was menacing so I looked for a place in the area with a nice indoor pool. What they don't tell you in any of the descriptions on the Sheraton Paraippany is that the pool is part of the Atlantis Health Club and, evidently, anyone can go for the day (I imagine there's a small fee). We were swimming in the already cramped single lane of the indoor pool. I was already dismayed that, even though there were many little ones swimming with their parents, they still excluded us from the other two roped off lanes--one was reserved for lap swimming, and the other for kiddy swimming lessons (with MANY kiddies, one of them screaming at the top of his lungs for the entirely of his lesson). I noticed pieces of food, cereal and other garbage, laying around the pool, while the life guard sat there, allowing kids to balance themselves on the divider ropes, despite someone trying to swim laps right next to them. What sent me (and my ten year old) over the edge was when an entire group of young children arrived from outside the hotel. A day camp I think. There were now an additional 15 or so kids, plus 3 or 4 adult supervisors. For the first half hour they were there, the outdoor pool was still closed due to bad weather--why they did not open up another of lane to accommodate this group is beyond me. They expected 30+ people to swim comfortably in one lane of a NOT Olympic sized pool?! It was ridiculous so we left and went back to our not very clean room (pubic hair in the bathtub, stains on the carpet and on the bed-skirt) and ordered over priced hamburgers that were hard as hockey pucks and ridiculously over-priced. It was just an all-around very disappointing experience. I will not be returning there.
Good location. Reasonably clean Hotel needs to be updated. Bathroom was small and cramped. The hotel is in need of repair. The restaurant closes too early.

Great staff: when I was stranded after a bus mishap they went the extra mile to get a shuttle to me. Very accessible from Newark airport. Remodel has front lobby and breakfast area torn up, giving even more of an industrial feel than the hotel already had.
The Hotel is basically designed for people on the road in new Jersey - not sure if I would stay there while in New york.
Very clean. Very nice modern rooms. Great value for the money. My only negative was that it was a very narrow path between bed and desk but it wasn't a big deal.

I loved this hotel. Very clean, nice staff at front desk, perfect location and I loved the decor. The only problem I had while staying here was every morning housekeeping woke me up with their very loud conversations in the hallways. There was even some shouting.
Our double queen room was updated , clean , and very comfortable for us . Staff was friendly and supportive when the printer wasn't able to print my boarding pass . Location was ideal ! Lobby tables were rickety.

Very nice room! They did a very good job on the remodeling of this hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again. Would like to see a better breakfast selection. No protein. Everything was carbs and sugar. Did a very nice job of setting it up though. Also, outside in the parking lot, someone had just dumped their trash in the parking lot. Not the hotel's fault, but it is a shame that this kind of element would be staying here.
the shuttle bus does not come very regularly. We waited between 1 am and 1:50 am at the P4 location at Newark airport. There is no phone at the picking up point to call them and ask them for pick up. We managed to call their phone using a regular line but still it took additional 40 minutes. We were also informed that between 2 and 4 am there is no service. This is despite the fact that the advertisement says 24 hours shuttle bus service.

The attendant at the Front Desk Myron, could not have been more rude! As I came down to check out I simply said I am checking out and all he said was just drop your key. I then asked for a receipt and he fumbled through in a huff as if I was putting him out. He did not find my hotel receipt, just a beverage expense. I asked him for hotel receipt and he looked up in a huff again and said you don't get a receipt because you booked through something else so contact them.I simply asked you cannot print an actual receipt and he just responded NOPE. I then asked for a breakfast bag since it was before 6 AM. He simply huffed away and then handed it to me without saying anything. Beyond rude. I would have stayed there this week as I am coming back for work. I will certainly not at this point. No place for bad service in competitive service industry.

Everything was great. Nice breakfast with a hot selection every morning along with the usual waffles, toast, cereal, etc. I liked the strawberry topping and whipped cream for the waffles. I had anticipated a sofa sleeper in the king room, and there wasn't one there...not a big deal.

location and convenience to downtown paying for parking, hotel should have free parking for guests if they want to park their own car and also valet if they want. A choice for the guests would be nice. Also the bathroom needed some maintenance: the shower rod was loose and leaning down / the towel rack was loose off the wall / and the shower curtain was hanging off of the hooks and not hooked together.

This was the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I was overwhelmed when I pulled up and stepped into the lobby, my first words to the registration desk were "well I'm out of my league". Everything was perfect. The staff was professional and courteous. The room was extremely clean and very modern. The view from my room was nice, looking down at the the state theatre, or out at the rest of New Brunswick. And I lucked in to a "special price". So it was very affordable. I have not compared it to regular rates yet, but I would think the room was worth significantly more. If I go anywhere in the vicinity I will be staying here again. These didn't bother me personally, but just to make others aware. The heldrich is in the middle of the city, so you either have to luck into free street parking or utilize the parking garage directly behind the building. Parking cost about $20 per night, or $25 for valet parking. There was not a refrigerator or microwave in my room, maybe it was just the room I chose. But again none of these bothered me.
Great location right in downtown New Brunswick. Good price/rate via kayak Musty/dusty room wreaked havoc on my allergies. Shower handle was broken and had to be replaced. No free wifi.

Hotel was very nice and served our needs for a quick, one-night stay near the Rutgers campus. We didn't really have time to take advantage of all the hotel's amenities. Parking was pricey; we chose to self-park because valet did not have in/out privleges. It was a bit of a hassle to drag our luggage from around the corner.
Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location to where i was working, inconvenient to restaurants. Bed was a horrible sleep number. It wasn't even plugged in or a remote available when I arrived. They had to send someone up with multiple remotes to test and get something to work. After the first night the remote stopped working. Would not book there again.

Clean and comfortable rooms. Right off the NJ turnpike. If I don't need wifi, I would stay here again. No wifi in room but there is a business center. Breakfast was bad - stale food with poor taste. A TV guide would be helpful.

The staff was extremely helpful and courteous in both the hotel and the restaurant. The facilities were clean. The rooms need more noise insulation. Both from outside noises, and interior noises. There should be an exhaust fan in the bathroom.

The Strip House restaurant
Doorman was nice. Girls behind desk were not pleasant. Plus, I checked out early. Booking.com told me there would be a cancellation charge but I didn't hear how much. Hotel charged me a cancellation fee of $75; Booking.com's email showed it was supposed to be $35. Same when I checked in--rate higher than Booking.com, but I caught it then.
My girlfriend and I spent the night there for a nice getaway from home after we had went to my brother's soccer game at Seton Hall. Everyone and everything was great. The room was perfect, we had requested extra towels before we checked in and the accommodation was made. When we got there, I called the home bar to request a bottle of wine and the bar staff was able to help recommended a good wine for us. Everything was clean and comfortable. Definitely would recommend staying here for any occasion, especially for the price, very good value. We will absolutely keep this hotel in mind for weekend excursions in the future. There was nothing not to like, everything was great.

The shuttle from the airport was convenient. The staff friendly. The rooms clean and nice. I got in very late and tried to sleep a bit later the next morning, but noise started at 720am and continued. I could hear everything from the room above and on either side. Surprisingly noisy. The next night I slept fine but left by 430am.

Always have enjoyed Hampton Inn's and this one was excellent, except Kayak didn't let me know ahead of time it was a smoking room. Kayak signed me up for a smoking room and I didn't know anything about it. Next time Kayak, show me that its going to be a smoking room and I will look elsewhere.
Staff were terrific, breakfast great, airport shuttle extremely helpful. We checked in very late. When we finally got into our room (the keys worked only every 8th time or so) we were bowled over by an intense chemical smell. We tried to find an air freshener but couldn't. Called the front desk, housekeeping came. Turns out they spray some kind of God awful disinfectant before guests arrive. This is dangerous. I asked for a different room, but there was none. We were given a fan, which helped a little, but there's no fresh air coming in from anywhere. I had a headache the entire time we were there. I've always loved Hampton Inn but this is unacceptable.
Water pressure was low so the shower took more time than usual.
This was a overnight stop over to catch an early morning flight out of EWR. Got picked up by their courtesy van at EWR and the staff was helpful and polite. Courtesy van took us to EWR was timely. nothing
Property dated....needs a facelift
Convenient to airport; shuttle service; friendly, helpful staff. Has a kind of run down, grimy look. Hall carpets were wrinkled and dirty looking, elevator was dirty, room looked like only essential areas like the bathroom were really cleaned. Limited food options - I ordered Chinese delivered and it was the worst Chinese food I'd ever had. The only other choice would have been pizza/pasta, neither of which I eat.

Front desk was very friendly at check in. We attended a wedding here and staff were less friendly after the event (less we had been drinking but not belligerent). Walls are thin. We were woken up at 9am by housekeeping knocking on other peoples doors. There appeared to be water damage in the ceiling and bathroom needed some maintenance.
Room was clean enough, bathroom worked, all the basics were there. I ran the fan all night and thus the room was quiet enough to sleep in. Its main business seems to be weddings and other big parties, so bar and restaurant VERY crowded and not available to guests who want to have a quiet drink. Door to hotel does not have automatic open button -- crucial not only to those with mobility issues, but anyone with a lot of luggage. How is that even legal in 2016? Breakfast included but there's not enough seating, so it gets loud and crowded. They use styrofoam cups for coffee. Again, I must remind the hotel, it's 2016. The decor is **very** outdated. Forest green carpet in the room, vertical strip wallpaper -- from the 80s or 90s. Was fooled by high reviews into thinking this was a nice place to stay when it in fact it is just adequate.

It is a great location, just a block away from the train station. Went here to get away from distractions and focus on work. Got a nice size room, all the amenities that I need and with room service, I never had to leave my room for anything. Perfect place to get quiet and work done. Not that it bothered me but the decor is a little outdated. But a desk still worked as a desk and furniture didn't break on me. If I was going to the hotel for an actual leisure trip, the tv might need to be upgraded.
We like the room, continental breakfast & convenience of train to the city. Train is a plus. Sr.'s can buy a SENIOR train ticket at the TRAIN STATION, otherwise buy train ticket at hotel & walk approx. 1/2 block to train. VERY nice older hotel. It is an older hotel but everything is very nice. We like the continental breakfast. Parking. Train to the city is great, can walk 1/2 block & get on the train to the city. We have stayed at this hotel numerous times.

The rooms are comfortable and clearn and there is a really bar and restaurant connected to the hotel. It's in a subburb and has a completely different feel than the "big box" hotels. Love the nice breakfast spread they put ou the morning which is included in the room price. There's also a very nice pool and courtyard.

Every staff I encountered had the same superb customer service. They were always attentive and address things fairly quickly. This was very refreshing. The room tub was clogged, which made taking a shower uncomfortable as the water rose to our calves. Although maintenance came up to fix it, it happened again when the next person bathe. The following morning the sink was clogged almost overflowing. I'm pretty certain there must've been some plumbing issues, because it's highly unlikely for this to happen within hours. Besides the hotel restaurant, finding options to dine were very limited.

This hotel had modern, large, bright rooms and a comfortable bed. The hotel was great, however, there was incredibly slow service in the restaurant. That being said, when they did arrive, the wait staff was courteous, efficient, and pleasant. Additionally, the food was very good.
The room was HUGE, even with two beds in it. The usable desk/workspace pretty much ran the full length of the window wall, allowing me to spread out some presentations I was working on among the conference materials I had collected. Spacious bathroom...that then goes to the negative category. They do have a white noise machine in the room, which came in handy. I was able to check in an hour early, so that was nice after 14 hours of travel. Validated parking for the underground garage was a plus, too. There was a lot of disappointment. I was on the 11th floor, right near the elevator. While I didn't really hear too many people in the hallway (mostly cleaning staff), the late night ruckus from the street could be heard well into 3 or 4 AM (where the white noise machine comes in handy). Every emergency vehicle going by could be heard loud and clear. To put it mildly, the windows are not sound proof by any means. The bathroom is beyond dated. Old tub, clunky showerhead that sprays everywhere except on you, and shower curtains that leave a gap on one side or the other because they are not wide enough. LOUD flush on the toilet lets everyone on your floor know you just took a poo. My first night I realized that I was missing a mini-fridge, which the front desk though was odd (I think they thought I was lying). They put in a request, but I never saw anyone, so I had to make another request the next afternoon while I was attending a conference. It was there when I came back that evening. The lighting is a miss-match of fluorescent, LED, and halogen bulbs. Some dim properly, others are all or nothing, making it difficult to find a happy medium once the sun goes down. For the price, I might have expected a little more, especially with a Hyatt Regency name on the door in downtown Morristown. I think that a Hyatt House would have been cleaner and more elegant of a stay, which is sad. I would stay here again, but only if my conference is there.

Our sheets and towels were changed on the daily. Our room was clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was very pleasant. We were staying for 9 nights and laundry services nor dry cleaning was available. No fridges available in rooms either. Our room smelled like cigarettes when it was stated the hotel was a non-smoking hotel. Besides starbucks not many nearby places to eat within walking distance. Ice machine broken on our floor and outdated decoration. A bit overpriced nightly rates for a hotel where nothing is inclusive (wi-fi was very limited, breakfast)

Vanderbilts, the hotel restaurant was ok, food was ok, bar staff were terrific, but there isn't really a system for being seated or getting service.
When we arrived at the front desk at 11pm our reservation was not on file. The staff had to scramble to give is a single room. To the staff credit they discounted our stay and comped breakfast. See above.

When I checked into the hotel I gave the front desk my debit card to keep on file for incidentals. I pre-paid for the hotel a month in advance of my trip so I should not have charged at all. Not only was my card wrongfully charged, it was charged 5 times! Resulting in over $1000 in charges and overdrew my checking account. This would have all been okay had the hotel taken responsibility, apologized, or offered to help me fix it. Instead they were very defensive, immediately said that they did nothing wrong and claimed that it must have been a problem with my bank. However, I just so happened to overhear another customer talking on the phone about the same thing happening to her. I asked to her to go to the front desk with me to confront them. Obviously we had two different banks so our bank was not the problem. The man at the front desk was very rude. He kept telling me not to worry about it and it wasn't a problem. My money was gone! of course it was a problem. Also, he still insisted that it wasn't their system causing the problem. He said "2 customers of 400 had this problem so its not likely it is our system". It wasn't until I checked out that someone finally admitted that they messed up. They then decided to tell me that they have a new system and are still getting used to it. Had they just told me this from the beginning I would have understood and been less upset. The problem is fixed now but the fact that they were so rude will stick with me forever. I will never choose to stay at a Hilton again.

There wasn't much not to like about this place. It had a wonderful atmosphere, luxurious comfort and state of the art facilities. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The one thing I didn't like was that parking wasn't included.
The only thing nice about this hotel was the pool. Large and heated. We reserved a 2 room suite. The hotel did not have this to offer. We were given a single room with two beds at the same price. Room did not have a mini fridge, there was a spot for one. Lights were missing bulbs. Shower felt like you were going to fall through to the floor below. Continental breakfast was only cereal.
Good Central NJ location at the junction of Route 18 and NJ Turnpike. 10 Minutes from Rutgers University in good traffic. Solid for business travel. Clean rooms. No frills here. Hotel rooms need serious update and makeover. Old furniture with chips in them. Lamps with electrical shorts. No mini-bar; no bottled water in the room.

The location was great. The cost was unbelievably low. It was very quiet and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Total time to check in and out was less than 5 minutes. The room was huge. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, also. Conveniently located next to Target, gas station and dunkin donuts for coffee. Gluten Free restaurants, like Luigis and Godfather, were very close. Great place for business travelers like myself. Room was very clean, but the carpets were dirty. There was an a second entrance to the right of the main entry and there were always large groups (10+ people) standing around and smoking and hanging in the parking lot, sitting in running cars... It was a very awkward environment and almost impossible to avoid.
Clean room with breakfast included AC was broken in room, took them 1.5 hours to get us room with working AC. Staff seemed overwhelmed with tasks and wasn't very helpful or responsive to problems. Obviously old hotel with a few cosmetic updates, but still dumpy.

-Searched for this hotel on Kayak and it was the cheapest of the ones in the area. I'm surprised that the cost was so low because it really was a great place to stay! -Continental breakfast was great, new food items every day. -The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I called down on the second day of our stay to ask for more towels and washcloths, which they quickly brought up to my room. -There were three entrances with stairs, which was nice if you didn't want to wait for the elevator. Also, if your room was far from the main entrance it was a faster way to get to and from the parking lot. -No password needed for the WIFI (most hotels make you sign in and it's kind of a pain to connect if your password is incorrect or misplaced). -There was a sports bar connected so you could eat there if you so pleased. -They did not have a water fountain on the first floor (or any floor to my knowledge). -The ice machine on the third floor was broken. -No fridge or microwave (I did not ask for either but these would have been nice accommodations).
Location Everything. The place was a dump. It smelled bad, the facilities are decaying and poorly maintained, the food was terrible. An all around horrific experience. The place needs to be completely re-furbished and renovated.

Some hotels have gorgeous communal areas, such as the lobby, and the lounge, but a different standard for their rooms. Renaissance Newark Airport had beautiful areas that were communal, and their rooms were of the same high standard. Bed was comfortable, and warm. Room was spacious and clean. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Shuttle to and from the airport is a plus. Many airline staff stay at the hotel, so the morning shuttle filled up fast, but another shuttle was dispatched right away, to pick up the overflow of passengers. I would stay here each time I'm in the area. Not just a good value, but a great place to stay, meet, eat, hold a conference, etc.

Clean and affordable. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel in general which would include the room, lobby area, and the indoor pool. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and very accomodating when it came asking for directions, coordinating adjoining rooms, and providing additional services such as a roll away bed and blankets. Each time we came back to the hotel from our day or evening trips the front desk manager or clerks would ask how our day went. We enjoyed the flat screen, LCD T.V. and the variety of channels available for free viewing. The only downside to the hotel is that it's located right off the highway across from the airport which meant we were pretty much land locked which limited our dining choices without having to drive. The Perkins shuttle never showed so we ended up eating lunch the first day in the hotel restaurant. Being right off the highway also made it very challanging and confusing to get into the frontage road area where th ehotel is located. You needed to learn the N.J.. u-turn system the hard way to figure it out. Great touch to have the computer and printer in the business area for guests to print out their boarding passes. Security wise they have a guard at the gate of the parking lot and you need your room key to operate the elevator.
I arrived at 2 pm only to be told to wait an hour. Upon returning at 3 I was told the room wasnt ready and I could have a double bed. I refused and was told by the manager YOU CANT EXPECT US TO RUSH OUR STAFF. My toilet was broken. I was charged 3 TIMES for the same thing. Then I was told the only thing that can be done is a FREE DINNER....unacceptable treatment and horrible attitudes
This hotel has been recently been renovated. The public areas on the first floor are very nice, and the quest rooms are very nice as well. My only negative comment (and it's very minor) is that the hallways in the guest room areas still need to be redone. The front desk and restaurant staff's are very friendly and accommodating.
This was my third stay at this hotel and even better than the last two. The rooms, lobby, and restaurant have been very tastefully redone. The room was very comfortable with HD TV. The staff was very helpful and courteous. Even though near the airport, my rooms have always been quiet.
The room was pretty clean and adjacent to Newark Liberty International Airport. The view was just overlooking the parking lot. Nothing else. The lobby was very beautiful.
First of all, I am a veteran traveler. I used to travel for a living, spending more than 200 nights a year in hotels. What upsets me about any poor service experience is that it is relatively easy to avoid with good training and good management.\n\nI checked into the Doubletree Newark Airport after 11pm on the 13th of December. If I didn't already know they had a shuttle from the airport, there would have been no way to know they had one running. In the terminal and also at the P4 shuttle pick-up area, the hotel is not displayed on the courtesy phone area. I ended up having to call the hotel to see if indeed there was a shuttle bus available. \n\nWhen I arrived at the property, there were 4 people behind the front desk but no one at the front door or any bell service available. I had numerous bags as I was returning from an overseas trip and had to secure the bell cart myself. I passed several staff members with this cart and no one offered to assist me. \n\nThe guestroom was fine, although it needed a bit of cleaning. The bed was quite comfortable. As I recall, this used to be a Wyndham and it had been throughly renovated under their management, so the product quality was good.
If you have a choice I wouldnt stay here. The surrounding area is horrible. Also, very very hard to find and easy to get lost in an area I dont feel safe in. The hotel is just average, the staff is just ok. Absolutely no restaurants in the vicinity so you are forced to eat at the hotel for mediocre food. Meeting rooms had leaking ceiling, where water came through like rain! Parking for hotel guests is expensive! Unfortunately I had to stay here for a meeting, if I had a choice I would not stay here!
We needed a hotel not far from the airport as we had a 6:30 am flight the day after our stay. The staff at the Renaissance were incredibly helpful with any and all questions we had re: transportation, food, etc. Although we had a short night's sleep due to our obligations, it was completely restful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
I am very picky, about clean, germs when it comes to hotels. the staff was friendly, from the valet to restaurant staff. the room was clean. i would go back and stay there again.
We stayed at the Hyatt due to a football game across the river. We had booked the rooms based on the location and were not disappointed. We were able to walk to the downtown area (only a block away) and grab a late lunch before heading to the tailgate and watching the game. The hotel is a little bit tired, but the staff, the cleanliness and the location were outstanding.

After a pleasant stay at the Dolce Basking Ridge, I needed to head back to New York. I asked at the front desk how to get to the train. The gentleman driving the shuttle not only took me there, he took the time to explain that the train had been replaced by a bus, drove me to the train station, and when the machine at the train station didn't take cards, drove me to an ATM to get cash, then back to the train station. Thank you, sir!
Staff curteous but fumbled wrt 10am arrival on day 2 of stay. Room clean. Bed comfortable Room cleaning starts too early - 830am. Breakfast could be included at room rate paid and be fair
The hotel was lovely - however on arrival the Hotel was overbooked and we had to stay at offsite at one of thier annex hotels, The next day we were upgraded due to the inconvienance, however staff were very friendly and the hotel was very nice. The Hotel is far out of NYC therefore it is not close for those wishing to visit NYC.

I returned to the area to attend a High School Reunion which was held at this venue. Everything was very professionally done; a good time was had by all attendees.
comfort of room. I booked hotel through booking.com which was on Dolce site. I paid more doing it this way then calling hotel directly. I could not get clarification on this from hotel staff as they could not change the price. Never book through booking.com.

The gym and pool are among the best in local hotel choices for this area of New Jersey. Covered parking is also a huge plus in the winter or when it is raining.
The staff are very attentive to their guests. Helpful. Dinner entrées were most enjoyable. The noon buffet lacked refinement in some regards

The staff was friendly and very helpful, even giving me menus for places I could order from. One free drink from the bar for each night I was staying? Awesome. Breakfast was delicious, and had many choices. Would come back.
Nothing I never made to the hotel before I was called by the management and threatened with arrest if I showed up up for my reservation. The fact the manager called me and threatened to have me arrested twice before I even arrived at the hotel.
Clean, quiet room. Excellent breakfast. Best coffee I ever had at a hotel.
