The staff was really nice and frinedly!!! Location is ok but for somebody who wants to be close to the center (Jungfernstieg etc.) there are probably better options in the city center
the large room and the special decoration no swimming pool
Personal reception, great rooms and shower, good breakfast noise of the elavator in the room.
Helpful staff and chic design of hotel rooms and lobby area.
The facilities are very nice and the rooms are large. The housekeeping was not great. They sometimes would forget to bring towels.
I'm a frequent traveller (in average 1-2 night per week in a hotel), but unfortunately HH Boston is a rare example of excellence in the hotel world. From arrival til departure only the best possible service, food, room. And that without costing one arm and a leg... I can't await to get back soon ! There was absolutely no such thing !
design, new hotel, bar, wireless facilities location not optimal
nice, spacious and clean hotel room & bathroom, quiet, very friendly personnel further away from city center as expected
Keen and friendly young staff. Food of good quality and value (excellent Caesar salad; good breakfast). Stylish modern design. Huge room. Nice bar. Free internet access. Enjoyed staying there. Location is in a rather run-down area away from city centre (which helps to keep the price down, but wouldn't suit everyone. Fitness room poorly equipped for a hotel of this quality: didn't even have a treadmill. Bathrooms well furnished, but the showers were unusually cramped.
Relatively small hotel with friendly staff. Good location
close to public transportation
Friendlyness of the hotel staff, rooms are huge! Location could be better!
The room was very nice, functional, quiet and clean. The free wireless access to internet was an important asset. The breakfast was of good quality. The receptionist was not overbearing friendly and not very well informed about restaurants and other facilities near to the hotel.
Very nice breakfast I booked a room that slept 3 and got a room that slept 2 & I was charged for on site parking but not advised that it was an extra cost
Nice to be in a non smoking Hotel- Good location close to subway station called Sternshanze. Internet was perfet using my computer.
Good facilities & excellent breakfast No British TV channels
Big and very clean rooms; Very good location for business trips; Very polite staff Some persons of the staff do not speak english
Good location and friendly, helpful staff
Friendly personnel, nice clean large room (for 3), good and reasonably quiet environment. Breakfast OK. Nothing exceptionel, nothing not good. Can be recommended
Overall it was pretty well-maintained. The after hours check-in process was easy and we did not have any issues. Staff was friendly. The rate was also fair compared to the cost of surrounding hotels. It's a good, inexpensive place to stay for a night or two, especially if you're just looking for a room to sleep in and not a place to spend a lot of time indoors. It was a little too bare bones. If there was just a bit more comfort and modern touches added to the room it would have made a huge difference. Also, the inside of the comforter was dirty. The cover and the sheet were clean but you could easily see that the inside was not. Also, the room was a bit too small to accomodate a young couple. It really is geared more for a single traveller. It isn't a place I would recommend for a long-term stay.
with it's reasonable price with full facility, i'm really feel satisfactory
Nice, friendly and helpfull service in reception and in breakfast-room, very quite location and easy approach from the airport and from the center The window directly on the intern roof, was afraid to open it in fully. If the mineral water isn't finished, don't expect to obtain a new one on the next day.Access to the hotel should be bettter described on the website.Problems with the lift.
It was near the centre as indicated by the site. The hotel was comfortable and had good value for money. Wireless internet was available though very expensive. The staff was helpful - when I complained that the light in my room was not functioning well, I was given another room immediately. Wireless internet was too expensive! 2 euros for 15 minutes is a bit excessive in my opinion.
Windows all face into a central courtyard, so its surprisingly quiet. - Number code for the elevator (access to hotel) did not work - but there's a staircase on the far side of the building, so I did get in. - Passages heavily smell of cigarette smoke.
The breakfast There was no one working in the reception at the time I arrived and there was only a sign in German how to enter the hotel since the door was locked. In the end I had to call from my italian mobile to get in. It would have been good with the information also in english.
The hotels in Hambug are typically expensive, but, thank God exists the GHOTEL hotel and living. Its is a fully fledged 4 star hotel at an affordable price!! Best option in Hamburg for normal tourists and businessmen. None.
easy and good hotel for low cost
Good selection for breakfast. Free fixed pc internet. No restaurant and not much in the area. Small, indifferent bar.
Not a thing Everything dirty , unfriendly staff
interesting location poor breakfast as a lot of guests had their breakfast at 830 hours and tha personnel did not provide enough at the breakfast buffet
Nice room and minibar. Bikes were offered to stall in garage The bed was not so comfortable, size ok, but hard sleeping.
The room was very spacious and comfortable. The rate was very reasonable for the facilities provided. I was able to have breakfast on an outside terrace on the fifth floor with a fantastic view of the city and harbour. Whilst a little way out of the centre public transport is excellent in Hamburg and a bus for either the U-Bahn or the city centre stopped every few minutes directly outside the hotel. The hotel is only 5 minutes from the Schanzenviertel which has a great selection of whacky bars and restaurants. The room was not air-conditioned and temperatures rose to 33 degrees while I was there.
Easy access to the old town by bus #3
nice location with lots of nice cafes and restaurants. Easy connection with public transport to the center. For a 4 stars hotel Nordic Hotel Domicil is very shabby and old. Its more like a 3 stars budget hotel. We reserved a 3 person bedroom so that our 4 year old dauther would have her own bed, we got a room with 2 separate beds and one camping bed in the middle. The camping bed was so old that the springs was jumping out. For our 4 months old baby we got a baby bed that she could not sleep in since the middle leg at the bottom was sticking up. So we ended up sleeping all 4 in the two separate beds we pushed together since the manager was not available until the next morning.
The Staff was very kind and helpfull dusty room old shower / toilett facilities no lift into the 6th floor so i had to carry my suitcase up the stairs in general its a very old hotel, carpets in the hallways are dirty and smelly overpriced for what u get
The underground car park was a huge benefit and made us feel our car was completely safe. This did cost £7 extra. The out of date bathroom was surface clean, as was the bed linen but the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years (although I think it needs replacing). The beds were also in need of replacement. Altogether I think this hotel was out of date and in desperate need of refurbishment. Very disappointing for the money we paid!
The needed refurbishment is going on reception should also happen in room. Recptionist was great and very helpful
The hotel is not very close to the center, a few bus stations from the s-bahn station Holsterstrasse. The good thing: unlimited free Internet. It is time to make a renovation in the hotel. Also they should bye a better Internet rooter.
Staff was prepared and came up with a better solution on our booking on arrivals. They got free internet that worked fast and had a very good breakfast
Superbude St. Pauli was the most amazing Hostel I have stayed in so far (I have stayed in quiet a lot hostels in Europe and abroad). It opened in the beginning of 2012 and everything is new... very new and clean shower and toilets... very good beds... lovely style throughout the whole hostel! Someone has really been thinking about the whole concept and the implementation is just perfect! For my next stay in Hamburg, I'll definately go for it! Can't say anything about the breakfast, cause I didn't have any. Guests in the hostel varied from young backpackers to families with kids and we even saw an old couple...
