It was a tragic time as their was a death in the family and this was located close to family so it is hard to answer but staff was accomadating when some one previously had been smoking in a non smoking room (as all are) with moving us and also locating shoes I had left when moved to another room. Hotel cleanliness is excellent. Absolutely nothing.
Decent stay, rooms are being remodeled. Rooms not remodeled definitely need it
front desk staff were very friendly breakfast wasn't anything special, just the usual stuff.
Everything, services and everything they did to make us happy The bed a little be, it was like not what I was spected i Think they can have a better mattress
cleanliness, friendly hotel staff Women's bathroom above my room. You could hear high heels and high power toilet flushing from the 6th floor bathroom every few minutes.
Good location. Reasonably clean Hotel needs to be updated. Bathroom was small and cramped. The hotel is in need of repair. The restaurant closes too early.
Breakfast was horrible tv was broke and I set the alarm clock for 8:00 am and bring they cut the power off for a min the alarm didn't go off getaway was awful
Can't give much of a review. Was there on business for one night. Location was convenient. Exterior was impressive. Room was nice. I was not expecting much, so it met my needs. Would stay again.
When I order a superior king don't change it to double bed room and tell me that's what I ordered
I was very dissatisfied with our stay. I planned a last minute staycation with my daughter. The weather was menacing so I looked for a place in the area with a nice indoor pool. What they don't tell you in any of the descriptions on the Sheraton Paraippany is that the pool is part of the Atlantis Health Club and, evidently, anyone can go for the day (I imagine there's a small fee). We were swimming in the already cramped single lane of the indoor pool. I was already dismayed that, even though there were many little ones swimming with their parents, they still excluded us from the other two roped off lanes--one was reserved for lap swimming, and the other for kiddy swimming lessons (with MANY kiddies, one of them screaming at the top of his lungs for the entirely of his lesson). I noticed pieces of food, cereal and other garbage, laying around the pool, while the life guard sat there, allowing kids to balance themselves on the divider ropes, despite someone trying to swim laps right next to them. What sent me (and my ten year old) over the edge was when an entire group of young children arrived from outside the hotel. A day camp I think. There were now an additional 15 or so kids, plus 3 or 4 adult supervisors. For the first half hour they were there, the outdoor pool was still closed due to bad weather--why they did not open up another of lane to accommodate this group is beyond me. They expected 30+ people to swim comfortably in one lane of a NOT Olympic sized pool?! It was ridiculous so we left and went back to our not very clean room (pubic hair in the bathtub, stains on the carpet and on the bed-skirt) and ordered over priced hamburgers that were hard as hockey pucks and ridiculously over-priced. It was just an all-around very disappointing experience. I will not be returning there.
Location. Easy on and off rt3 Was a non smoking room I thought, smelled of smoke Black mold on sink rim and shower head.
We had issues with our room and the daytime staff was very helpful. They moved us to a new room, which had an issue too, but Elly did everything she could to make it right. Overnight staff was rude.
Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Liked having Red Robin connection. Would go back. People were too loud in the hallway. Children running in the hallway. Our toilet had a seat that kept slipping when sat on. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Liked having Red Robin connection. Would go back.
The room was recently refurbished and mostly nice Bathroom door was damaged, whole room smelled of paint, the whole building was under construction which was loud. The workers smoked in the hallway. I caught the receptionist asleep twice. Once when I was trying to check out around 6AM. She actually had headphones in so I had to scream to wake her up so that I could check out. The pool was not accessible due to the construction. The breakfast was waffles, bagels, and yogurt. I was just really not pleased with this stay.
Room comfortable, staff courteous and helpful, location great Only one elevator working, room a little noisy (room heater and pool mechanicals I think), teenagers running in the hallway, talking loudly and slamming doors, housekeeping staff threw away my bed socks that I left in the bed.
Chromecast, staff. Breakfast, location. Pool was over crowded. No towels at pool to dry off. Had to air dry and drip the whole way back to the room. Oops. Also hot tub was very dirty and almost green. When sitting in it I couldn't even see my waist the water was so unclear., Also check out time was different depending what you read or who told you. We checked out at noon because that's what it said on the back of the door m.
The cleanliness Staff attitude and people skills sucked
Clean hotel, comfortable beds and very quiet. The staff was nice. We stayed 2 nights and I wouldn't have minded if our stay was longer. There aren't many choices in this immediate area, but judging by the looks of the other hotel I saw, this is the best. Our room was at the end of the hotel, so maybe that was the culprit, but the wifi was terrible. It constantly dropped in and out to the point where it was effectively useless. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:30 and my wife and I got there just before 10 and they had already closed and were setting up for lunch. Ours and the key card of another guest stopped working on the 2nd day, which was a little annoying, but not that big a deal as it was easily reactivated.
Desk Staff and Cleaning Staff very helpful Not noted
It was a very comfortable ad pleasant experience. The rooms are modern and very clean.
Everything.... Was the softest bed ive slept on... Bad for the back.
Literally Everything. Great little room, full kitchen and bath. I have NO complaints. Would recommend to 10/10 people
The room was was absolutely the best I've ever stayed in. I would pick this hotel before any of the others.
Very nice attractive place. Comfortable. Super clean. Really great staff. A bit far from the main interstate for me -- I was passing by on way from Virginia to Boston. Also, wish there were more dinner/meal options in the freezers in the commissary. It was a pretty bare bones selection. And some frozen veggies would have been nice!
Convenient affordable extremely clean and brand-new facility
Clean and cozy Early check in is not a problem Free breakfast and night gatherings with soup and salad I wish they have better ventilation. The room next to us cooks a lot all day everyday. And thr smell was just a bit too overwhelming
he the layout of the room.
No power! Couldn't iron clothes or do my hair no electricity, had to go to gas station to fix my hair for a graduation, toilet smell like urine! Sink was clogged! Customer service was not all that!
Well located, 45-minute by bus to NYC, next to Garden State Plaza mall (almost walking distance), good value for money WIFI would drop literally every minute. It was connect-drop-connect-drop-connect-drop all the time. If you need wi-fi in your room for business, you may want to consider another place to stay (or maybe another room - ours was 422, maybe a bit far from the antennas?)
Clean room, clean lobby. Courteous staff Difficult to get back onto the Gardenstate Parkway North from there.
This hotel offered a very clean and friendly atmosphere for a very reasonable rate. Would stay again when traveling to nyc! The continental breakfast was more extensive than I expected. Good job here! I would like to see a full service restaurant open that serves lunch and dinner inside the hotel.
Hotel smelled strongly of cigarette smoke but room didn't.
Rooms were clean Needed more TV channels
good lockation, clean room, very good for 2 stars, staff was very friendly and helpful slow internet conection
Location is right off the highway and close to the major malls Exterior looks dirty and low-class; people hanging out in front smoking seemed like junkies and vagrants.
Great Breakfast for continental. A great restaurant beside the hotel. My mattress needed replaced. It sunk to the middle bad.
Everything More pillows
Very clean, room was very beautiful, some of the staff was very friendly, restaurant next door was delicious. The hotel is really beautiful. Check in was simple and easy. They allowed too many guest to hang out in the lobby.
Nobody entered my room while I was sleeping. That's about all I can think of t for the positives... The hall ways smelled like urine. The air conditioner was very loud. I had a room on the front of the building, and the traffic noise was terrible. The walls are very thin, and I could hear everyone's tv while I was trying to sleep (during normal sleeping hours), and I could hear people from nearby smoking rooms coughing loudly all night. Also the smell of smoke was fairly pervasive. I was not expecting the Ritz, just a clean quiet place to sleep. That is all. I was asked upon departure how everything was, and I mentioned to the gentleman at the front desk it was very loud and obnoxious, and he just said "oh, sorry about that, have a nice day".
Clean room, good restaurant in the hotel. The staff was rude, no elevator. They expected me to carry my heavy bags up 2 flights of stairs and did not offer to help. I ended up throwing my back out. Thanks for nothing.
The staff was good. The property was reasonably clean. The towels soft and the beds comfortable. The microwave and small fridge are a nice convenience. This is a very old property and it shows its age. Odd old smell. There is no elevator. If you travel with heavy suitcases, ask for a first floor, there is no help. The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything in the next room. The A/C conked out for a bit and there are no screens in the windows so opening them was not an option. There is only a front desk clerk, no security; guests run rampant through the halls after leaving the on-site bar. Wedding guests woke us up every half hour while continuing their partying in the hallway. I'll pay more next time and stay at Homewood Suites or Marriott Residence. But if you're not too picky and need to save money, this will be a good fit.
The proximity to our event and food, gas, etc was fantastic. The staff were amazing, as was breakfast. It was fantastic to have four pillows on a double bed! Not every hotel does that. Clean and comfy linens. Mattresses were on the north side of firm, but I'm a side sleeper and prefer a softer bed, so that's just me. The floors are not level, both first and second floors. The bathroom sloped down so you felt like you were falling when using the facilities.
Staff was great Near the highway
Hotel is accommodating for pets. Price was reasonable. Bed was very comfortable. Was not told about pet rate. Hotel charged my credit card upon arrival and didn't tell me. Location could be better. Route 17 is a nightmare.
Wonderful studio suite with a kitchenette. Upscale carpeting, wall coverings and furniture. Easy access to all major roadways from a pleasant neighborhood. Queen bed instead of King.
Everything! Great location, free breakfast with real eggs, very nice room with a kitchenette. All for $106 for a family of four! Nothing
The location was great. The cost was unbelievably low. It was very quiet and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Total time to check in and out was less than 5 minutes. The room was huge. Refrigerator and microwave in the room, also. Conveniently located next to Target, gas station and dunkin donuts for coffee. Gluten Free restaurants, like Luigis and Godfather, were very close. Great place for business travelers like myself. Room was very clean, but the carpets were dirty. There was an a second entrance to the right of the main entry and there were always large groups (10+ people) standing around and smoking and hanging in the parking lot, sitting in running cars... It was a very awkward environment and almost impossible to avoid.
Clean room with breakfast included AC was broken in room, took them 1.5 hours to get us room with working AC. Staff seemed overwhelmed with tasks and wasn't very helpful or responsive to problems. Obviously old hotel with a few cosmetic updates, but still dumpy.
Location was fine Dirty and smelled
The room I asked the front desk to tell the other people to stop smoking weef but they didn't do anything
-Searched for this hotel on Kayak and it was the cheapest of the ones in the area. I'm surprised that the cost was so low because it really was a great place to stay! -Continental breakfast was great, new food items every day. -The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I called down on the second day of our stay to ask for more towels and washcloths, which they quickly brought up to my room. -There were three entrances with stairs, which was nice if you didn't want to wait for the elevator. Also, if your room was far from the main entrance it was a faster way to get to and from the parking lot. -No password needed for the WIFI (most hotels make you sign in and it's kind of a pain to connect if your password is incorrect or misplaced). -There was a sports bar connected so you could eat there if you so pleased. -They did not have a water fountain on the first floor (or any floor to my knowledge). -The ice machine on the third floor was broken. -No fridge or microwave (I did not ask for either but these would have been nice accommodations).
Location Everything. The place was a dump. It smelled bad, the facilities are decaying and poorly maintained, the food was terrible. An all around horrific experience. The place needs to be completely re-furbished and renovated.
I don't have time to list EVERYTHING
Clean and Spacious room. Food shops and other stores are where near to hotel
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was clean, comfortable, beautiful view and very accommodating! Thank you!
Location Road conditions in lot need improvement
The beds were comfortable and had the fastest elevator I have ever seen. The view of mountains was nice. The pool and gym were very small. When u look at that beautiful exterior of the building u would think u were getting the best of everything for the money u spend. There is no security in the parking lot either..
The king bed is very comfortable. The internet is not fast enough to stream videos, and juices in breakfast is not that fresh except orange juice, waffle is firm like rock, little choice.
nice view very very noisy doors, one rude front desk staff with attitude, unorganised management. secluded nothing within walking distance. issues with lifts
Location They allowed people to be as loud as they wanted when we were downstairs having breakfast at the hotel restaurant
I got me a nice piece of strange here some real good 😸! Thanks !
Work-out room and pool carpet needed to be vacuumed
Nice restaurant bar area No ice machine on my floor

very nice hotel with fantastic amenities. Lounge and restaurant are fantastic.
Lovely hotel. Welcoming, friendly and accommodating staff..
Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were spacious. For the size of the room, the bathroom seemed small.
Room was cozy Elevators seemed dated

Front desk were exceptional and very friendly Room service was very unprofessional and lazy
The breakfast is very good and the lobby is beautiful The pool is dirty. There was hair in my room coffee maker. No linens for the pull out bed. Soap scum throughout the bathroom.
location, room size and layout, atrium and the grounds One bed was sinking in the middle and the nobs were coming off the chest. Also the coffee maker stopped working and called the front desk twice. They said engineering would come but never came. After 2 hours and multiple times unplugging, replugging and resetting,it finally started but was leaking from the second side.
Everything was great. Great price and great value. I especially like the shared amenities with the adjoining Hilton.
perfect complimentary breakfast
We were provided a room prepared for a handicapped guest but it worked out because it had extra safety precautions and I felt safe that my fiancé would be ok. I only felt guilty that I could not take advantage of the pool because I was trying to finish a project. However, he did! It was noisy on friday night and you could hear the neighbors coughing throughout the night.
Really bad hotel. Room didnt even come with a coffee machine u had to go downstairs the desk to get it? are you kidding me the breakfast is absolutely nothing i eneded up going out to get my own food. The room was not clean it was well kept.
Courteous staff. Clean room. Convenient.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the included breakfast was far better than we expected. Our stay was comfortable, and we wish all our hotel stays could be this good. There was nothing negative about our stay.
Everything was nice. no complaints.
Good location comfortable rooms Front desk not friendly at all. No attempt at being nice or helpful. Seemed annoyed that we were checking in. Lol
Amazing stay. Couldn't have picked a nicer place to stay. The hotel was very, very clean, modern in style, beds were extremely comfortable and every staff member was sincerely friendly staff and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and had a plethora of healthy choices. Vernard & Gus went above and beyond to assure our stay was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer.
Comfortable beds. Decent breakfast. Near a big mall and other shopping. Gym was sparse for strength training.
rooms and price very late wake up calls caused me to miss breakfast
Many tv stations, flat screen, fridge and microwave. Very small bathroom.
Staff friendly, helpful. Rooms clean and well-appointed. Tricky access on/off of main road, but near to shopping facilities.
good value for a hotel very near new york city. clean. lots of rorom. good breakfast.
the free breakfast was quite nice! Perfect for a quick breakfast! Only the carpets...seems they may have needed some cleaning
Short distance from North Bergen Park & Ride. Then only 15 min bus ride to Port Authority\Times Square. Beats taking car into city and have it ruffed up in the parking garages. More visiters should stay in New Jersey when visiting NYC. I have stay in Fort Lee before, but too congestive there. Would be nice if all hotels would segregate large groups of children (traveling with school or sports teams) at one end of hotel away from other guests. One of our nights was horrible do to the noise. Also the next morning the breakfast area was a disater with all of them there. Could it be possible to offer a separate breakfast for large groups, so other guest are not blocked out?
we asked for an accessible room, but you did not send that message to the Comfort Inn. The desk clerk quickly scrambled to and called a guest that did not check in yet, to see if they really needed an accessible room like I did. Fortunately, the other party was willing to give up the room for us. No elevator, if we had to take a room on the 2nd floor we would not have been able to stay at this hotel
nice rooms, clean and comfortable. flat screen TV; quite no elevator; limited food
kindfull hotel staff, good for the shopping area
The refrigerator in the room; nice breakfast; comfortable bed. Difficult to get on highway. BIG pothole at the entrance could be fixed.
Clean,roomy,breakfast. Noisy outside.
The staff was very friendly and personable but also very professional. Each individual that I interacted with went out of their way to make you feel welcome. I travel quite a bit and have very rarely experienced such a comprehensively positive staff. The hotel lobby was open and attractive and the room was quite clean and spacious (two doubles with a sofa area). Oh yeah, good cookies for sale in the lobby! Yes, even good cookies! The only criticism is that the bathroom compartment was small. That wasn't a big deal because the toilet and tub were in the separate compartment with the sink in the large, open bedroom. Accessibility wasn't really a concern for me.
I liked the nice sitting area in our room. Pretty sad attempt at breakfast.
Nice spacious rooms with living area in every room. Rooms are also renovated. Good breakfast
