We arrived at the Hamptonn Inn in Front Royal, Virginia, without a moment to spare, and needed to dress and prepare for a wedding quickly. Although it was after three o'clock, our room was not ready. We had to dress, curl hair, brush teeth etc. in the lobby bathroom. Not an ideal situation... After returning from the wedding late we checked in finally and received a room that was extremely musty smelling. Air conditioner had bacteria growing in it so we slept with no air conditioner. I usually have great experiences with Hampton Inn but this one was not the best.
The staff was wonderful The pool was small and overly warm.
Location Toilet clogged on arrival. Tacky sticky notes on headboard Stating sheets clean. Duvet cover scratchy and not warm. Staff not so friendly. breakast unappealing.
I liked the quiet, clean rooms. The pool and spa were wonderful after a long day of driving. The Desk clerk was very helpful when we checked in and suggested the Houlihan's restaurant for dinner. The servings were not only delicious, they were humongous! Overall, great stay, will do this again! I was under the impression this hotel was closer to Luray Caverns but the quality of the place overcame this confusion
Ease at getting reservation and comfort of the room. Staff especially friendly and courteous and ready to assist.
The room was designed well. You walk through the door into the living room and the bed room is down a hall through a door. You have access to the bath room with out going into the bed room. When your kids go to bed early, this is a great set up! No full kitchen in the room
Nice Bar closed at 11… And some people were not very friendly.
Room was spacious and clean. Staff very friendly and took care to offer assistance.
Beds were comfy, linens were clean Pool was cloudy and gave my son pseudomonas foliculitis, gross!! There were at least 10 scary looking German shepherds in training to become border patrol, drug sniffing, ATF etc, that were impossible to avoid bc they needed bathroom breaks and were constantly being taken by their owners through the lobby
Felt at home Would have liked to select room since a frequent visitor
It was quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good...coffee especially good. Hallways were dingy...concrete floor was stained. Stairways were dingy. Needs some upgrading in these public areas.
not much! the air conditioner sounded like a jet engine .the toilet was on a slant. it smelled like bleach. the bathroom sink faucet leaked. the free breakfast was horrible! the staff couldent answer any questions we asked.
It had a bed. Bathroom dirty. Construction worker blasting country music in the next room. Was told I could have had it cheeper if I had called them first.
I liked the beds, they were comfortable. The AC was nice and cold. I had to get my keys recoded at least a dozen times during my stay. Every time I would leave the hotel and come back my keys wouldn't work. It was very frustrating having to go up and down from the front desk to my room multiple times a day. I would suggest that the hotel invests in higher quality room keys that aren't so sensitive to deactivating.
It wasn't so clean. Breakfast can't even be considered breakfast, it was really bad
clean and comfortable, near old historic Front Royal. I paid extra for a king bed and got two double beds instead. Otherwise, this was a good hotel in a good location!
Great location for visiting Shenandoah National Park. Vijay at the front desk was knowledgable of the area and accommodating. Will definetly stay here again if I am ever passing through.
It's decent and convenient to everything. Can't really complain for the price. Beds are comfortable and soft! I can't say there wasn't anything I didn't like.
