I liked the elegance of the place. Made me feel fancy. I didn't like the extra money I spent on things that I felt should have been standard. I should have saved my money and stayed at a cheaper place that provided things such as parking and a microwave/fridge. While I enjoyed the view I don't feel that I should have had to pay additional money for it or parking. All in all it was too expensive for the level of elegance they were selling as standard.
I loved the location to the river market district. We were able to walk to the bars and restaurants that we wanted to visit. We were on the 19th floor of the hotel so we had a great view of downtown Little Rock I booked a "deluxe room" for approx. $170 per night, which isn't insanely high, but I definitely could have found better rates at comparable hotels in the area. When I got to the room it was VERY small, and had 2 DOUBLE beds. I called the front desk and confirmed that this was in fact a "deluxe" room and they said yes. I asked if I could pay to upgrade to a room with 2 queen beds, since there were 4 adults in the group, and they said that double beds were the largest beds they had on property for rooms with 2 beds. That was very disappointing considering I can go to a Holiday Inn Express and get a room with 2 queen beds for $50 cheaper per night. Also, the room did not have a microwave or refrigerator. All of the above are things that come standard in most hotels that are significantly cheaper. For the amount of money that we paid, I was not satisfied with the value.
All the rooms are finished and the earlier complaints about the horrible construction noise is no longer an issue. I think they are still working on the lobby in parts, but did not bother me at all. Very pretty room, loved the decor. I got a discount price for booking during their construction I guess, and lucked out, for there is no construction, so price was very fair. Parking garage/valet is 22.00 a night, which is steep, but I used it because I wanted to feel safe and it does that. High price for parking, 22.00 a night is pretty high for Arkansas, and wow! Marriott is cleaning up on that one. ha!
The hotel has been completely redone and you can tell. The rooms are large and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. Wish we could have stayed longer. No complaints
The bed was awesome. Real coffee cups Rusty air vents. Glasses in bathroom still had last guest's water IN them. Tv couldn't get reception on some channels I wanted to watch. Bathroom small.
Friendly staff The hotel wasn't modern. I was expecting something a little nicer.
the breakfast and wifi were a plus!
Watched the news and monitored the hurricane! The kids enjoyed the pool and the gym! No! It is a very nice hotel! I wish they had stoves in the suites, that's all!
Never had a suite for a price like this! And the shuttle which drives me also to Central Highschool. On the first day I saw walking a big insect on the floor (don't know the name) but that can always happened.
Wifi works. Not too expensive. Place isn't clean and needs updates beyond a flat screen tv in the room.
Nothing Everything. Dirtiest hotel I've experienced, with stains on rugs, an unclean shower, and reeking off smoke in non smoking rooms. Don't stay here.
The shuttle was awesome. The hotel is dirty and run down
We had a roach in our bathroom.
Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, close to everything, comfortable beds, allows pets for a much smaller fee than other hotels. Not all ice machines are plugged in so the one right outside my room didn't work; had to go upstairs for ice. Food and drinks at the bar are a bit pricey even for a hotel.
Clean is top priority for me & the beds are very comfortable. Staff was wonderful & courteous. Definitely will continue to stay here when we are in town.
The room and lobby area. The fish pond. I like it all. Very nice.
Location and friendly staff Room wasn't very nice compared to other embassy suites and even cheaper Hilton brands
The pool area was very dark and very crowded. The pool had a horrible smell, the kids only swam for a few minutes.
Free breakfast , spacious rooms and very courteous staff, The beds were too small, we had full size beds and we definitely need at least a Queens.
2 staff members I want to commend , Horce and Bubba... they went above and beyond making us welcome and our stay pleasureable ... a big thanks to them ..They took care of our every need ... our staff members were great also. would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone.. thanks Embassey Suites
Location was convenient for us and the parking garage great as it was raining the whole time. Paid extra for the wi-fi and concession on the floor. Concession had limited variety and only worked 2 out of 6 times we went to it. Dead Bugs in bathroom lights. Closet door wouldn't close without forcing. Door reported, but they just closed it, didn't bother to fix. Requested quiet room, got it until noisy kids moved in next door.
One of the bus staff at the restaurant was the consummate professional and one of the most truly genuine people I've ever met. His name was Horace and I plan to write a letter on his behalf to the Embassy Suites. He displayed the best customer services I've ever experienced, bar none.
Check out time is 11 am. They started to ring the room phone immediately after 11 and said. at 11:45 the front desk said that they might charge us for another day. WE HAVE 4 ROOMS FOR 2 DAYS AT REGULAR RATE OF $99 / DAY. and we have VACATED ALL THE ROOMS EXCEPT ONLY ONE. and vacated that room at 11:55. We travel at least 2 months out of the year. Will we stay in your hotel again. NEVER. Even if it was for FREE.
Very clean hotel in a nice area of Little Rock. Nice to have a good reasonably priced hotel close the medical center down the street.
This was my second time to stay here but it had been awhile. The hotel was still in good condition: Clean and comfortable. Great location for what we were doing - Conference at UALR and much better value than the hotels downtown and just as close. Our room was on the North side of the building and right above the side entrance - early in the morning it was a little noisy but I needed to get up anyway.
It's in a convenient location downtown. It's close to many places that you may be going to in Little Rock. This time, we were going to a concert at the Verizon Arena. It's also not far from the Clinton Museum and the Riverfront area. This was my second time that I stayed here. The first time, I stayed with a friend. She and I didn't think too highly of it. However, it wasn't awful. I was coming back with my husband and his mom for a concert. I wanted a good deal, so I knew it wouldn't be the nicest place to stay at, but I didn't think it would be so bad. However, I realized that I wouldn't stay there again, and I regretted booking it since I had my husband and his mom with me. First, our room was not ready even though it was a little after 3 p.m. when we checked in. However, they gave us one of their apartments instead, which had two separate bedrooms, a bathroom, living room, and kitchen. Secondly, my husband was very disturbed by the carpet that had wax melted on it and lint and things, as if it had not been vacuumed. The most upsetting thing was that the air in our bedroom with a king bed was not working. It was making noise but you couldn't feel cold air. We called the front office. They said they were sending someone. We had to leave for dinner and the concert, so we're not sure if they came to look at it. However, it was not any better when we got back around 10:00 p.m. Third, the bed was not very comfortable. Fourth, which I knew from my first stay, the breakfast is lacking. It had the basics: two choices of mini muffins, only white bread, about 4 cereals, and some not-too-tasty-looking oranges and apples.
Knowing the rich history made my stay a pleasure. The patina that comes with age is irreplaceable. Reminiscent of European boutique hotels. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect.
Conveniently located Eating facility & food is thumbs down
Good value for money. Nice oversized 2 BR apartment suite for ~$100.
Love the history of the hotel. Lobby is beautiful! Location is amazing! And you couldn't ask for muxh more for the price. Will probably always be our choice hotel in Little Rock. The staff is always very nice. Needs some major updates. Even if they don't have the money for updates it needs to be kept cleaner. And simple things like the stair railing need to be fixed. If it was kept cleaner it would come off a lot nicer.
The location provides convenient access to restaurants, interstate system and businesses. The architecture and layout of building is quaint. The fitness center is a nice convenience. The morning attendant day two greeted me on the way out. Main issue was there was no remote in the room upon arrival. I had to go to the desk myself to get one. Two of the three lights in the room didn't work. I reported it night one. Upon my return for night two, only one light had been made functional. This is more a reflection of staff than facilities in my opinion. The bathroom had no counter space--something could be done that still meets the quaintness of the room.
Stayed for a weekend while I was in town for a wedding. Since I was short on funding for the trip I chose the Legacy based it's competitive price and location (it's right in the middle of downtown Little Rock, although downtown isn't very large) Other reviews led me to believe the hotel would be a tad run down, however I accepted the risk and booked anyways. The Hotel does show it's age, however it does have that old-timey charm that makes places like this a "boutique hotel". My room was in good shape, clean, and free of defects like peeling wallpaper, missing lightbulbs and leaky faucets. Also had a microwave and fridge, a nice little luxury for the cheapest room in the place. The lobby seemed well decorated to illustrate the hotel's past and the staff at the front were most friendly and helpful. It's not the Ritz, but much more homely and welcoming than a Motel 6. Overall a good Value. Would absolutely reccomend if you need a cheap place to stay in Littke Rock.
The hotel is old but it was nice and quiet. Staff was friendly. Had a big balcony.
The only thing to like about this entire experience was the staff member who changed our room at 3 a.m., and the understanding front desk woman who had to process our refund the next day. The hotel is filthy and smells terrible. But at 3 a.m. when you find that your hotel bed sheets and pillows are covered in bed bugs, there is nothing worse. We were packed and standing in the hall 3 minutes later, and had it not been 3 a.m. in downtown Little Rock we would have left or slept in our car. That same morning, I booked a different hotel for the rest of our stay and went to the front desk to get a refund. Not only did the owner try to tell me they weren't giving me a refund for that night, but the laundry guy tried to tell us that all hotels have bugs and that maybe they had already sprayed and the bugs just weren't dead yet. It was a completely horrible experience. Just thankful we booked through Priceline and we were able to call them and get a refund processed.
I liked how quiet and charming the hotel was. It was clean but outdated, however I didn't choose to stay there because of the decor. There are not any amenities. No ice machine, breakfast, etc. But they do supply a larger mini fridge, microwave and coffee machine. So if you plan to stay there any length of time, take your own snacks, etc. The parking lot is not secured, however I never felt threatened or concerned & I didn't have to pay absorbent parking fees.
The location is good. I reserved and paid in advance for a room with two beds. I get there and it has one bed. Also, the air conditioning doesn't work. They moved my family to another room with working air conditioning, but we had to have a roll-away bed for the child. It is very inconvenient to had a bed in the middle of a room where it is not intended. The desk clerk brought me my new room key and didn't even say a word. She just handed it to me and walked off. The large tub in the room had dirt in the bottom of it and a cockroach on the edge of the tub. The first morning of our stay, room service did a poor job of making the bed. My four-year-old could probably have done better. The second day, when we arrived at the room at 3:00 P.M., the room had not even been made up. I went to the desk and the clerk said they just hadn't gotten to it yet. I said it was a little late now because we were in for the evening. I had to ask for clean towels. I've stayed here before and it wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. Now, however, the Legacy hotel is very poorly managed and run. I will not be staying there again.
The hotel has character and ambiance. The lobby is beautiful and my room was well appointed. The staff was helpful and friendly. I absolutely loved the food served in Filibuster's (the bar/restaurant). It was phenomenal! The staff freshly prepared the dishes from original recipes. Truly a wonderful experience!!! There were only two issues that, one of which was addressed immediately. The toilet in my room would not flush -- maintenance arrived quickly and corrected the problem. The other issue is that the main areas of the hotel were not adequately air conditioned. It was about 90 degrees during the day and the hotel lobby and restaurant/bar were uncomfortably warm. However, the air conditioning in my room worked very well!
Was worth my tine
had a bad odor
Starbucks was right next door. The furniture was particle board and was warping apart. Same with the toilet seat.
Area Toilet stopped up my Grandson had a bowel movement and the toilet would not flush
Refunded a night because we had to leave early. Pleasant staff. Toilet overflowed no plunger in room.
This motel is almost as you would expect in a nice 2 1/2 star motel, We were very much surprised after reading the previous reviews. The New Manager is doing a Super job replacing all old beds, bedding, and dressers. New large screen TV's. No hot oatmeal, but grapefruit, orange and grape juice with hot pancakes, is nice. Pool is solar heated, so was a little cool on 78 degree day, but was nice on 91 degree day, towels a little small. Starbucks next door, wife had to have a cup everyday!
I stayed here before and was very pleased with staff and cleanliness. I. also liked the location. This time, there was no coffee maker in room. When returned the next night, room had not been cleaned and had to ask for more towels.
They were in the middle of a remodel but they staff was great. It was only $--- a night so we didn't expect a 5 star experience. We got what we paid for and just a little more. The way the interstate exit system worked. It was confusing and very busy.
location Filthy, a/c didn't work, mold around fridge and walls, urine smell in elevator,
the floor in the rooms, laminate One roach crawled across the top of head board, but i killed it
It was clean the service was very nice The young lady at the front desk she was very polite helpful it and was very quiet.
Staff Ironing board but no iron.unknown objects on floor.no tissue in holder.
Price Hard cheap mattresses, fart fan didn't work, major freeway noise, and the swimming pool was out of service.
Bargain basement price, good location close to lots of dining, big clean room with kingsize bed, mini fridge, microwave, and 32' flatscreen TV, furniture in good condition, clean bathroom, good laundry facilities, attentive and friendly staff Property itself is dated and some of it is in disrepair. Towels are stained,. There was a stained ironing board but no iron in the room. Mattress might be too firm for some
I like the hotel because check in is easy and fast and the attended courteous

No pool, no computer setup, sink leaked , sheets not white and stained
My wife and I liked the location. We do not appreciate the honesty / integrity of the staff. We know for certain we left a pillow in our room, and the staff stated it was not there. Also, we were told we'd receive a return call, confirming or denying the pillow being in the room. No call.
Was not as clean as expected

Staff is fantastic, we got double charged. noticed this when we checked our account and the motel refunded what they had charged. BUT, Priceline charged us $20.00 more then if we had just walked in and got a room directly at the motel. I Will not use priceline again
Found dirty used soap in our shower. Trash beside our fridge. Towels had stains on them.
The shower head was nice... Oh, and Ghostbusters was fanfreakingtastic!!! The length of time it took to check in! We arrived at 1:10 a.m. and got into our room at 1:30... Really??? There is no elevator at this 2 story motel!!! Upon walking into the lobby to check in I was met with the odor of marijuana and curry...Yummy! I reserved a king bed/non-smoking room. We were put in a double queen/smoking room. I was not asked if this change was acceptable. We pulled the bedspread and top sheet back on the bed closest to the heater/ac unit and found a large wad of black hair on the sheet. When we checked out the following morning I brought it to the attention of the desk clerk. No apology or discount was offered. I then asked for a paid reciept. The desk clerk told me she could not give me a paid reciept. For being in the room for less than 8 hrs (time change that morning), it was a very bad expierence and I would not recommended setting foot on this property!!!
The room and facilities seemed very new and were quite nice. Our room request was honored and we were given a quiet room on the back side facing church property. We saw grass and pine trees out our window - very pleasant! I checked out the fitness room and had every intention of using it but chose to sleep in a bit later instead. It had very nice, new equipment that worked well when I tried it out. While the binder of information was helpful, we had to go down and ask for a TV channel guide. I would recommend that it be put in the binder with the other info.
Rooms appear to have been remodeled, very clean, appreciate the free parking, free internet and free breakfast. Location right off highway and prices are excellent. There was a mix up with reservation and agoda company but hotel's friendly and welcomig staff were able to rectify it quickly. Small parking
Stayed here overnight for a concert. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Very attentive to the needs of the people staying there. We'll lit parking, and all the things you'd find in a larger hotel. Breakfast was fantastic!
Indoor pool Asked for non smoking room. Placed in a room that smelled like an ash tray. The continental breakfast was terrible. Didn't even bother going for the second day. Luckily it was located near a Starbucks.
The hotel staff was wonderful. Hotel Employee was especially nice and went above and beyond to see that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Good location. Wal-mart next door. Pet friendly hotel too. Woul def stay here again! Only down side was road construction nearby.
The pool was great. The WiFi kept going out. Kids were out of control at pool.

Right on the highway. Easy to find. Cord was missing to the phone. We use cell phones anyway. No elevator. We are old.
My only issue was that it smelled and had stains on the carpet but all in all was ok. Smelled, stains on carpet
room clean, room had a wet ashtray smell, when I informed the lady up front the next morning her response was ' it's a smoking room it smells that way.'
Location and price
The location and the staff I came in contact with minus 1

room was pretty and clean in a bad area. other guests were loud and we checked out a day early due to no sleep.
i just want to say my stay was wonderful. We had the best service and all the staff was wonderful.
Location The room was dirty. There was toothpaste on the bathroom counter and mold in the shower. There was no complimentary coffee downstairs and the "Starbucks" was closed. The front desk guy couldn't tell us anywhere open to go.
The river market is beautiful. The hotel was a bit uncomfortable. The TV and Internet were terrible.
The location and staff were great! The room was nice and clean with a great view of downtown LR.
