Pros: We stayed at this Drury Inn on our way home to Nashville from Destin. After driving with 3 little ones (6 and under), we were very thankful not to have to go out for dinner. The kickback reception had very simple, but tasty food, and was extremely convenient. My husband was thrilled to have "ballpark nachoes," and I was able to make salads with pasta or a baked potato for the kids. I also really appreciated the glass of wine! The room smelled very clean upon opening the door. I can't say that about many hotels. Even the pricey beach home we were coming from lacked in cleanliness. But everything was very clean, the bathtub was appreciated as well. Everyone had a decent meal and good tubby before bed. The bed was decent, better than the Hampton Inn in Montgomery that we stayed in on the way down. Breakfast was good as well, and at both "meal times," the manager Christopher was present to schmooze and greet guests, which I found to be very surprising. The way he was conversing with some of the guests made me feel as though several of the people staying were frequent guests. I take that as a very good sign. We will be staying here again.
Cons: A little far off I-65, but worth it for the extra comforts.
Drury Inn & Suites Birmingham Southeast puts you within a 15-minute drive of Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Sloss Furnaces. Guests can splash around at the outdoor pool or indoor pool, and the spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves, along with LCD TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: I really enjoyed the 5:30 Kickback and the beds were very comfortable.
Cons: The bathroom is quite cramped. Staff could have been a bit friendlier upon arrival.
Pros: Hotel staff is very accommodating and the extra amenities such as the free dinner and breakfast are nice.
Cons: Not enough handicapped parking spots.
Pros: Room was clean and available when we arrived. Due to it's proximity to a major highway, try to get a room on the back side of the hotel. Highway noise from 18 wheelers at 3:00 am seemed to be a normal occurrence. Breakfast was very good, plenty of food and choices.
Pros: Very clean...staff are wonderful!! Food and drinks were great!! We will Definitely be returning to the Drury!!
Cons: We don't have any complaints at all!
The Extras Aren't Extra at Drury Hotels! Our guests can enjoy free hot breakfast, free hot food and cold beverages at the 5:30 Kickback®, free wireless Internet access in all rooms and throughout the hotel, free long distance calls and free popcorn and soda in the lobby daily. An indoor/outdoor swimming pool and whirlpool are available for guest use, along with an on-site 24-hour fitness center. A microwave and refrigerator can be found in all rooms. Drury is family owned and operated so you can expect the same great value, friendly service and cleanliness at every location. We look forward to having you as our guest!
Pros: The staff were very accommodating, friendly and professional. The design and decor was beautiful and my room was very tasteful. Clean and comfortable!
Cons: I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.
Pros: Every single person we interacted with - from the bellhops to the concierges to the bar and restaurant staff - treated us with truly above and beyond hospitality and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I have traveled extensively and don't think I have ever had such uniformly excellent and personalized service at a hotel. During our stay we requested to change our reservation to a larger room and extended our stay by a few days, and we ordered room service several times (really delicious and pretty reasonably priced) with some modifications for vegan diet and these requests were all accommodated very graciously. Following a most minor, really negligible, issue with a room service order we got a handwritten apology note from the general manager and voucher for complimentary drinks at the hotel bar. (The drinks were very good. The bar has a great cocktail list.) The room itself was spacious, comfortable, and and well appointed, with a nice view of downtown Birmingham. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown, convenient to many bars, restaurants, the art museum, other major buildings etc. There's a parking lot just across the street and easy street parking around, but we didn't even drive so much because there was a lot right within walking distance. I could not recommend the Redmont more highly. Will definitely stay here on any future visit.
Cons: Literally nothing

Pros: Nice staff in a great walkable neighborhood. Nicely decorated and the rooms / bed was comfortable
Cons: The pool was tiny and the space availability around the pool to relax was limited. We were there without our kids, but others were with kids. If your looking for luxurious, romantic weekend hotel this one will probably fall a little short
Nice overall - good value, but lacks that WOW factor that would make you wanna go back

Cons: $200 night. No fans in the bathroom.
Pros: Nice room.
Cons: $24/day valet parking fee was not disclosed when my car was taken. I did not see a sign clearly displayed.
Pros: Location and the Staff all A-1.
Cons: Very little to complain about with this hotel.

Pros: Clean, nicely decorated, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, very pleasant staff.
Cons: The pool heater was "off line". My son could not swim. But the hot tub worked.
Pros: Hotel was quiet even though it was completely booked the night we stayed (the night of the Alabama/UK football game). The beds were extremely comfortable. Very friendly staff. Our room was very clean.
Cons: The cleanliness in other, common parts of the hotel (hallways, elevators, etc.) could have been cleaner. However, our room was extremely clean. In regards to the common areas being dirty, I should point out that the hotel was completely booked and that perhaps the staff just couldn't keep up that evening. I imagine it was cleaned after checkout Sunday morning.

Pros: Very friendly staff, welcoming a crazy group of Bassheads! Great breakfast, very nice room, reasonable price for a New Year's Eve, would definitely stay here again
Pros: Staff was great - Hotel Employee was very helpful and the Mix was a nice addition.
Cons: Got a reference to a mexican restaurant called Fuego which was horrible. Might want to check that one off their list.
Pros: location. location great staff and a very quiet stay
Cons: CABLE CABLE CABLE. it had duplicate channels. No SEC NETWORK 'bless there heart,' don't they know I'm in birmingham AL down from legion field and no SEC network.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and allowed a late check out no problem which was wonderful.
Cons: Parking in evening was slim...had to park on the street...paid to park in lot.
Pros: Restaurant on premises
Cons: No airport shuttle service. Also, I was accidentally locked in the bathroom. If there was a phone in the bathroom, I could have called for help.
Pros: Great location. Very nice staff. Hotel room was clean.
Cons: Parking is difficult. The furniture in my room had a musty odor. The cleaning staff and front desk may not communicate well enough. I had a 2 night stay. I returned late one night and my room was cleaned out and my beverages and snacks were gone.
Pros: It was like a little apartment. Extremly functional in all aspects. Very Clean. Wonderful Stall and Security.
Pros: I enjoyed the ambiance and friendliness of the staff.
Cons: My stay was to short.
Pros: It was awesome clean and the staff was so nice.
Cons: It was wonderful no problems!!
Pros: The location was great
Cons: The air conditioner was awful. The room near got cool extremely bad during the middle of the night
I the heart of downtown Birmingham. Just a few blocks from drinks and eats in several directions.
Pros: Fresh waffles and eggs!!
Very nice modern hotel with clean rooms and clean premises. In a very good location near the Five Points Shopping district which has a nice selection and variety of restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is pet friendly, but it's so clean one could not tell. There's a flat $100 pet cleaning fee. The room was very clean, and comfortable. I had the studio King which had a fully stocked kitchen, a cook top stove with two burners, dishwasher, and medium sized fridge with ice maker. The bed was clean and comfortable, the sitting area had a sofa, and a chair, and there was a small table for two near the kitchen. The room had nice decor, ample lighting, internal AC/Heating, bathroom sink separate from the toilet / shower area, and automatic door dead-bolting for safety. The staff was friendly, and most if not all of them smiled, and said hello when in passing. The breakfast is par the course for what you expect for a hotel without a full restaurant, but when it's included for no extra charge not too much complaining to be had. The gym (free weights) and the outdoor pool looked nice, but we didn't stay long enough to use either one. The only negative was the limited parking. If you arrive at the hotel after 10pm, you may have a difficult time finding parking, and they charge $10 per night on the card that's left for incidentals. Power Hint: Use an American Express card for incidentals and the parking fee is credited back to the card!!!
Pros: The location, the staff, the cleanliness, the breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi and wired Internet, and the amenities.
Cons: The limited parking and parking fee.

Pros: It was connected to a mall which was nice to kill my time until my flight the next day.
Pros: Our stay at the Wynfrey was absolutely awesome!! We loved the convenience of being attached to the mall too. 5 stars!!!!
Cons: My only complaint was the housekeepers were knocking on your door before 8am to clean your rooms! We were on vacation & having loooong nights, so we were still resting at that early hour and didn't
want to be disturbed.
Pros: Fantastic staff; friendly and efficient. Rooms were spacious and clean. Location offers walkable mall dining options.
Pros: The location was perfect the staff was friendly the food was amazing the pool is growing sexy overall great stay the shopping was a plus everything you need it's right there at your fingertips.
Cons: The only bad thing I can say is that there wasn't enough towels in the room and when I ask for some the gentleman act like they were his house he only wanted to give me one but overall my stay was great
Pros: My mother and I stayed at the Hyatt Wynfrey for the Alabama Dental Alumni Weekend. She is a hygienists and I am a dentist, so we enjoyed the convience. She is a diabetic, recovering from a broken hip so it was nice having her so close to her conferences. I liked having the fitness room just a few doors down from our room.
I liked the sensor nite lite on the night stand for my mother getting up in the night. (One broken hip is enough)
Cons: II did not see any evidence of green...no recycling, reusing sundries (like the Embassy Suites), etc. The staff weren't aware of any such efforts.
Pros: We liked everything about it. The staff made you feel at home and they went above and beyond to make sure your stay was perfect. It was a joy to see them whenever you where in the hotel. The rooms were awesome and always kept clean! We stayed for our anniversary for the second time and plan on staying from here on out.
Pros: The room was very nice and clean.
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast buffet had a good variety and was fresh.
Since this was a surprise trip to take my wife shopping, being attached to the mall was perfect.
Cons: Our room was across from the ice machine. Wasn't a problem until someone decided to get ice at 6:30am on a Sunday morning.
While we didn't watch TV much, the guide provided didn't list all the channels and had to flick through all of them to find the channel I wanted.
The toilet flush didn't function very well and the water in it was a rusty brown.
Pros: Great Breakfast buffet. Friendly staff, comfortable bed.
The Hyatt Regency Birmingham – The Wynfrey Hotel’s front door is a gateway to Birmingham’s culture, history, and recreation. With Alabama’s top tourist attraction, Riverchase Galleria Mall connected to our hotel, you can step directly from the comfort of our lobby into this vibrant shopping mecca and its more than 200 fine specialty shops. Seasonal outdoor heated pool.
Pros: Rooms were very nice! Clean and comfortable and spacious. A girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel while attending a wedding. We had plenty of space to get ready. The beds were plush and comfortable and the room was quite. The staff was very kind and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the vibe of the hallways, calming blues and grays-- it felt like the life aquatic! Would highly recommend.
Pros: The staff was very nice.
Cons: We were in a room that hadn't been remodeled yet. It needed to be. Noise, carpet stains, peeling paint.

Pros: The staff was very friendly, and housekeeping/guest services was responsive to our needs when we asked them directly, without going through the desk. The location was perfect for our needs; this is a beautiful area of Birmingham.
Cons: Definitely not for families. No dresser, no luggage rack, few hangers. Although we were told they had kept the luggage racks in storage after the room remodel, repeated requests for two to help reduce clutter went unheeded. The extra chairs we requested arrived a day or so later after repeated calls.
The beautiful frosted bathroom door on a track was a nuisance throughout the week. A lot of noise to open and close, without actually offering any measure of privacy; design fail.
Pros: The place was gorgeous for the money I spent. Staff were helpful. There is a Starbucks in there!!
Cons: We reserved thru Kayak. The fine print states cannot guarantee 2 double beds. We were traveling with our older children and they had to sleep on sofa beds in each room after traveling for 12 hours via car.The Ice machine did not work on second floor. The housekeeping came and tossed sheets and blankets at us. I told her you come back and fix these sofa beds. We were tired I just wanted to jump in a bed and sleep but I was having to deal with the bed situation.
Pros: I liked how they worked with me to find my reservation since booking.com didn't give a hotel confirmation number. But the hotel overall was very nice. Quiet, helpful, and in a good location of the town.
Pros: It was very clean. All of the staff was very nice. It has a beautiful hotel and in a great area for visiting the zoo.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was not having a complimentary breakfast. But the breakfast at River City Grill was very good just a little over priced

Pros: Great location in downtown. We decided to stop in during a long road trip for the night and it was a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and there were many restaurants in walking distance. There was also and indoor pool to keep our kids occupied and full breakfast in the morning.
Cons: The beds were a little on the firm side for my liking, but that's just me personally.
Pros: clean, comfortable room but the coffee maker did not have a basket to hold the coffee and filter so we could not make coffee when we got up. The price seems a little high for the quality of the room and for having to pay an additional $10 to park in the adjacent parking garage.

Pros: To go breakfast bag
Cons: Beds smelled bad. Spreads dirty. Tub did not drain.
Pros: The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and we had a great view. We had a restful night and a good breakfast.
Cons: Difficult to find, more signs on the highway would have been helpful.
It was a good Hampton hotel. with the exception of the gas cap incident, everything was good.
Pros: The location, away from downtown but close enough.
Cons: Someone opened the gas cap on my new truck and appeared to try and steal gasoline. They need security at night.

I rented 4 rooms for 14 people. Easy to find, easily accessible parking lot. Easy check in. Rooms were clean, and better than expected. Bed was firm (little more than I like, but acceptable). Pillows left a little to be desired. Bathrooms were clean. Front desk clerk was nice, and personable. Overall great experience with no major complaints. Only minor issue was the couple next door having 'relations' was awkward for one of our travelers who had her daughters. Luckily it was as we were checking out, and not all night long. Walls aren't exactly sound proof. We plan to stay here again next year when we return to Trussville.
Pros: Very clean, easy access to interstate, close to eating / shopping
Cons: Not the most comfortable pillows, but acceptable
