Breakfast was poor and poor value for money cattle market
Great location, with a ton of potential. Cheap feeling, outdated, not kept up.
Bouncers posted at doors in evening extorting customers for money before letting them into rooms
The staff were extremly helpful and friendly. Only stayed one night, breakfast excellent and parking availability excellent
The location and the buffet breakfast was superb. The lift and bathrooms are very old. Also the way people stand outside to smoke
Convenience of location. Pizzeria was not of the high quality I would have expected. I also think that breakfast of some sort should nhave been included in the price. The number of smokers hanging around the front entrance sets a very low standard for the hotel.
we like to go away as many weekends as poss, but not @ £114 per night, which is what we paid. the last time we stayed there early this year we paid £59
The marbled elegance and old time styling. I worked there 47 years ago We did not like leaving
Access to the city centre
friendly people, obliging and it was very comfortable.
Perfect room. Very good location.
Good location The hotel building and some of the decor would surely have been very impressive in its heyday, but is now very shabby and in desperate need of renovation and cleaning! Breakfast was poor.
This is a very new hotel voted 1 on Trip Advisor. I visit Liverpool often and have stayed in many hotels. The room was very clean, high-tec design was ok - good to be close to s many places of interest. Good bathroom. Awful air-con, cold air blowing directly onto the bed all night was very poor - very little sleep! Staff unable to fix? Alternative room offered seemed to have a similar problem - no upgrade suggested/offered to compensate. Single room was the size of a large cupboard, bathroom almost as big.........? I hope the double rooms are bigger?
Really helpful staff, excellent location, small but adequate rooms. Parking is a couple of blocks away, no food on site but rooms have kitchenette. Room was comfortable, but no place to hang out except lobby.
Perfect! I haven't a bad word to say about base2stay.
Excellent location, staff were friendly, rooms were very modern, clean and provided all necessary amenties. Shower was excellent.
loved everthing bout the hotel 1 of the best city centre hotels ive stayed cool trendy very central good local discounted carparking and very friendly staff will definatly be back! nuthin it was top notch!
It was very close to everything! The bus station, the nightlife, restaurants and the shops were all within 5 minutes walking time or less! :) We couldnt open our window and the room just felt a teeney bit claustrophobic because of it!
Comfortable bed, good facilities and very friendly staff The room would be greatly improved by the addition of an easy chair and a toothbrush holder or glass in the bathroom. Only 2 teabags left which seems pretty mean spirited, I'm sure you can afford more.
I absolutely loved this hotel! I slept in for my flight and a member of staff came n woke me up! helped me to pack my stuff! seriously beautiful hotel! Around the corner from d main party square and two minutes away from the main shopping area! go here! the staff are amazing!
Good service and pleasant staff. Room great and enjoyed using the gym. Very close to many good restaurants. None really
Its excellent location to most places within Liverpool. No free Wifi on site.
Clean, modern, good leisure facilities, friendly staff, top quality breakfast. Lots of 'city' noise during the night, no bath (executive room), bit if a battle to get the internet switched on (we had paid for it in our rate), pretty expensive.
An excellent room, the bed was very comfortable, very clean, there were excellent facilities the sauna & gym were great. We were offered breadfast for £10 each on check in but did not book as we were unsure what time we were meeting friends the next day on the following morning the offer was withdrawn this was the only fault we found with this hotel.
Conveniently located for theatre break. Clean, well equiped, compact modern hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent shower. Good selection at breakfast although sausages/bacon looked a bit undercooked. Although the shower was excellent the wc is separate from the ensuite and doesnt have a washhand basin and is less convenient than a traditional en-suite. Expensive bar prices.
The Hotel is right at the centre of Liverpool, I felt the hotel description could elaborate more on this. Minutes away from the young and lively night life of Bold street, in the other direction only minutes from Church street with its outside craft/food stalls and a great selection of shops to whet your appetite on the way to Liverpool one. Hotel staff are excellent, very friendly however, they speak extremely fast and it was difficult to understand. They were very patient when I kept saying, I'm sorry I don't understand what you are saying. The bar is modern, fresh and inviting. The carpet outside the lift on the 8th floor where our room was loacted was very dirty.
Comfortable, secure, great location for shopping Expensive restaurant...Hotel booking made on the Internet back in July and although we weren't staying until late November the money was debited in July.
Breakfast and service, piped sound into bathroom, tea and coffee in room, large comfortable room, desk and MP3 music player lead Not much -- all was pretty good
The city center location was spot on. The friendly staff. The room was very clean and welcoming. The bar facilities were excellent. In my view an all round perfect hotel.
Excellent service but slow check in due to queue and only two staff at the desk - I was in a rush to get to a conference dinner and as delayed because of this. As above
Being a new apartment block the Casartelli was in excellent condition and finished to a very high sandard. It is very central to shopping, bars and restaurants. Staff that we meet were very helpful and friendly Only point would be which has nothing to do with the hotel was the construction work that started across the road everyday of our stay started from 6 a.m
The apartment was lovely. It was central to the shop, dock , nightlife and lime street train station. The apartment was not what I thought it would be. There was only one bathroom suite between the 2 bedrooms so a long wait to use the shower etc between 4. There was a downstairs toilet though. I thought it would be all on one floor. Some of the fittings where loose.
Posh Pads certainly lives upto it's name. Fantastic apartment with luxury fittings. When I received my confirmation of booking, it stated 2 x twin rooms. When making a phone call to the apartments the day before arrival, we were informed that our apartment would be 2 x double beds. This was upsetting, when I had spent several days on the internet trying to get twin rooms for us 4 girls.
i liked the lady at reception she was so friendly, and the desighn of the room lovely people on the top deck of the bus could see in our room
From start to finish it was a fantastic experience. Great location, near everything you need for a weekend away. Right beside Liverpool One shopping area, short stroll from Lime Street station and Paradise Street bus station. 3 fantastic restaurants across the street from apartments, Concert Square and the Harry Street area close by.
Apartment was very well laid out and comfortable, staff were there when needed. A lot of building work taking place, even on Saturdays & Sundays work started around 08:00am
As a hotel manager of a 4 star hotel & bringing my family of 4 I was suitably impressed. Quality was better than most 5 star suites and every detail thought of. If you want designer living in the city centre with excellent service and ease of use I reconmend this establishment. Will use again 10 out of 10. Not a dislike, just be aware building work is taking place by the building and although not a problem their is a lot going on.
The facilities in the apartment were fantastic and the decor great. I will definately stay again and the staff were so friendly. The noise from the road was a little nosiy but otherwise excellent facilities. The road outside was a little noisy
it was in a good location, very comfortable, clean and very friendly and helpful staff n/a
Location! The hotel is a short walk from Matthew Street and Liverpool One. Hotel is in the Hart of City Centre. The staff is extremely friendly. Will stay again. If there is one thing I didn't like is the lack of stairs or an extra elevator. Nothing too bad, but can slow you down if you are in a hurry.
It was close to everything the city has to offer.
proximity to city centre Tip to have privacy in en suite. Buy a newspaper and sellotape. Attach newspaper to the outside of glass and then shower in private
Free cheese at 5:00
This guest did not leave comments about this hotel.
it is central I have been in the hotel for the second time.... but this time the hotel was much smaller than the first time... Infact it was suffocating in the room
Love not having a window no street noise which was better than I thought Air conditioner constantly was running through it system. Made it hard to sleep
The staff are friendly and the rooms are clean and fit for short stay
It was central to where we wanted to be in Liverpool Room was small and compact, toilet/shower cubicle within the main area.
Cleanliness, excellent customer service, peaceful and comfortable stay. Overall a great experience Nothing. Everything was perfect.
Great location. Close to Cavern area and Mooresfield underground station. Rooms are extremely small -- smaller than a cruise ship's smallest cabin.
Great staff... location great and rooms clean. No real storage space in rooms.
Everything - great staff and excellent atmosphere
The beatles theme throughout the hotel is fascinating a must see for any beatles fan. The hotel staff are very helpful and even tried to get us tickets for the comedy club. There was a strange noise almost like a tube train that was very annoying. I did complain and was given a £20 discount. They thought it was the air conditioning.
Tastefully themed and in the heart of the city.
Location good TV programming. Including Sky sports Bathrooms very dark. Bad lighting. Breakfast selection ok at best
The food at Blakes restaurant was amazing and all staff were very helpful throughout the hotel. The decor is luxurious and rooms are spacious.
excellent hotel took my partner for his birthday handy for the shops freindly staff would stay again and tell all my freinds on the isle of man where i live nothing
The central lokation, the design and the comfort.
The public spaces downstairs - bar lounge etc - air of activity and comfort The room while very well furnished and serviced was on the small side for an hotel of this tarriff
The overall layout of the hotel ,the decor and design quiet unique Price rather expensive considering it did not include breakfast
I liked the rooms the location and help from the concierge. The breakfast was extremely disorganised, overcrowded with no cutlery set out. It was a buffet but you had to ask for everything!
the staff were extremely freindly and hepfull no
Location was very close to Cavern Club. Check in was confusing, person at the counter acted as if it was her first hour on the job. Went to lounge for a drink, was hoping to hear beatles music... after all, we were staying at the Hard Days Night Hotel. They were playing beatles music, but it was so soft we could barely hear it (and not because there were so many people talking, there were only 4 people in the lounge). I asked them to turn it up, which they did ever so slightly. Still only soft background music. We were not looking for loud, just something we could hear without straining. Had yet another bad experience with concierge (Kevin). We had purchased tickets to the Cavern Club Beatles tribute band show through the hotel. Asked Kevin when we should plan to arrive for the 8 PM show to be sure we got seats (explaining that I had read on line that seating was limited and you had to arrive early to get seats even if you had purchased tickets). Kevin dismissed my concern, saying we just had to be there at 8 and handed us the tickets. When we got to the room I read the tickets, they also said that seating was limited and that a ticket didn't guarantee a seat. Decided to ignore Kevin's guidance and it was a good thing we did. We arrived at 7, people were already lined up. By the time the doors opened (7:45) the place was full of people lined up to get in. We got a seat, but had we listened to Kevin we would have been standing for the entire show, which ended just after midnight.
beautiful well presented hotel with charming and welcoming staff there was nothing to dislike
All staff who we were in contact with were extremely polite and very friendly. Location of the hotel was fantastic.
The location was perfect for Lime Street Station and the city centre, and the staff were always friendly and helpful.
Restaurant/breakfast staff were exceptionally courteous, cheerful and industrious. Reception staff were cold and indifferent. Cancelled morning call for second morning but still happened. Woken at 6-15 Sunday which was avoidable if they had cancelled it as requested. When told about this the girl apologised in an indifferent way. Put us off returning.
Location of the hotel and the excellent breakfast. Staff were also very helpful
The room was clean, comfortable, well furnished and the bathroom was a good size and well lit. I would have liked to have checked in earlier and checked out later but this was not possible apparently due to the high occupancy of the hotel.
Once out of Lime Street train station, I saw the hotel at the opposite side. That was really handy after 3 hours journey from London. Facilities are very clean, we enjoyed the leisure center. The breakfast was just perfect, no more comment needed! And the staff, I miss words to describe how friendly they were from the reception to the breakfast service up to the check out time. Thanks! With a mini-bar in the rooms, I think this hotel would deserve 5 stars status. Unfortunatelly there wasn't!
Good Hotel Close to Railway Station None
The best point of the hotel was it was very central The breakfast was not great and having to stand and make your own toast
Staff were very helpful and friendly; problem sorted very promptly, even by repairman who had come to the wrong room! No shampoo/conditioner
Comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast. We were in a room just above a wedding party which had extremely loud music until the early hours of the morning, preventing us from sleeping. We complained, and we did receive a discount.
THE NAUTICAL THEME. ROOM WAS TOO HOT.
convenient location for train travel, theatre and shopping
The hotel is very central. (Theatre, Cinema, Shopping, Bus to the airport and Anfield around the corner). Very nice and the theme is nice and classic - cruise liner travel. Security staff seemed a little suspicious and you felt a bit watched! The doors slammed loudly. There was poor ventilation in the toilets. We were on the 6th floor and ventilation fans on the roof were a bit noisy.
The Castaway Bar
A great hotel that ticked all the boxes! Nothing to report - the hotel is spot on!
Great location, warm welcome, excellent food, helpful friendly staff. Real value for money. Will stay there again and would recommend to family and friends.
Location is good, because there is near train staion,so we could get drink and food.Parking is free.
Clean rooms, location Uncomfortable beds, small room, 11pm check out.
All of the staff were brilliant the meals were beautiful and everyone was very helpful There was nothing i didnt like about this hotel
the hotel was in a good location and the afternoon tea was very good value the only thing that anoyed me was magazines were advertised in the package we took hotel said they didnt have any and it was not included in the offer also sunday paper was not delivered when asked about it they hadnt got any left
Modern self contained facilities in a excellent city centre location, with friendly and helpful reception staff. Badly adjusted door closers to apartment/corridor doors, resulting in late evening/early morning disturbance.Effective maintenance could vastly improve the guest experience in this respect,as otherwise noise between apartments was not a problem.Car park location could be better explained in,say, the booking confirmation.Had to park in an alternative car park on first night.
Superb Location Clean Everything we needed was provided
Location is amazing if you are a shopper as it is right in the heart of the shopping district. You can fall out the front door right into the shops. Despite this close proximity to the shopping area of Liverpool One it is surprisingly quiet inside the apartment. Also it wasn't far from the train station about 10min walk so it was perfect. Fyi: the recepetion is on the first floor and they are open 24hrs and they are very helpful. I am telling you this as its not clear on the booking form confirmation or on the web pages and it confused me. Happy shopping!
its proximity to the city centre and the shopping areas Layout of living area, length of entrance hallway
loved these apartments. Couldnt be more central and had everything we needed. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and got a 3 bed apartment really comfie and so clean. Will deffo book again.
Great location, very well designed, lots of space in the living area and rooms were very cosy and they both had tvs in them. Close to all the shops...liverpool one shopping centre just on the door step. Taxi and buses just seconds away, cinema footsteps away. close to everything really. We really enjoyed or stay and would go bk again for def.
The apartments are very comfortable and very clean! Also they are in a brilliant location, right on the main shopping street. Upon our arrival we were hit with a £500.00 'deposit' in case anything happened to the rooms.Young girls wouldnt have this type of money. The hotel staff were not very helpful with this! It was not stated on our reservation confirmation that we had to pay a deposit, the hotel said that was Booking.com's fault so I think you should update this!
Superb Location! Nice modern apartments You have to give a deposit of £150 upon arrival which we had not been made aware of. We gave this in cash. When checking out a staff member had to check our apartment. She came down and told us that the towels were dirty and that we had been smoking in the apartment. We were not smoking in the apartment at any stage!. We were very frustrated and let down by this accusation as we had used the lovely smoking area which was 10 feet away from our apartment each time we wanted a cigarette. There had been cigarette ash left in the corner of the window sill which was not ours and must have been left there by the people previously staying there. It took 20 minutes to get the message across and we felt like we were being made a spectacle of because we were young. It seemed to us to be a way of making cash out of us. Eventually we were giving back £100 and £59 was kept to wash our towels! (Which had been provided for us by the way.) My advice if you are ataying here would be to check all areas for mess or dirt that has not been cleaned properly and inform reception A.S.A.p and bring your own towels. I am really disappointed with how we were treated and I wouldnt recommend staying here if you are a young group of people as they will try to make money out of you.
The convenience to all sight seeing and city centre shopping We were not impressed that the door lock failed and we had to be locked in from outside. We assured ourselves we could open from the inside but it actually took 10 mins of rough handling to open the door in the morning. The phones had no signal and so we could not contact reception. I'm afraid we would have to reconsider a stay at this hotel especially with children. I'm still waiting for a phone call with an apology which I was told I would get Monday and it is now Wednesday!!!.
how central and every thimg available tv toaster fridge just beautiful apartments i will defo b back and have raved to friends that they should use your apartments. enjoyed my whole stay
The hotel was nice, modern, clean, and in an excellent location (central to everything). There was a 24 hr service desk, whose staff whre always happy to help and please. The security was also excellent as unless you had a room key you could not get to ny of the floors other than reception. The only issue I had, which was there was no parking, and the entrance was in the side street, which was narrow and with no through road. No parking was available..so this was a huge problem. Liverpool is my home town and I was home visiting, so it made it difficult for friends and family to come and stop by to see me. Apart from the parking issue - I have no problems, what-so-ever, and I would definitely stay again and recommend.
close to public transportation, dining and shopping. Very convenient for us. Stayed 7 nights, house keeping not included. Bedding not changed, not offered clean towels. No face cloths available. Did not like hair dryer and it got very hot. Should clean apt, atleast once and change towels. Laundry expensive-3 pounds for wash-2 to dry
Location Poor bathroom facilities and condition. Very noisy location, need secondary glazing
The location very close to Matthew Street and the nice bar within the hotel were plus points of this hotel
Staff really friendly and helpfull, bar and resteraunt really nicely decorated with fabulous food.bedroom nicely done also.
friendly staff ,great location on door step to most things street noise in wee small hours!
great location staff really friendly and helpful basic but clean
near to shops sour milk in room. no resedents bar ,private function on in bar could not get served
Very central and well maintained hotel.Excellent Breakfast and food in general.Noisy on saturday night due to bar downstairs but it is saturday night afterall.Would definetely stay there again. Only thing is that it is not as close to train station as I first thought but once found easy to get too.
It has a very good position in the city centre. Very handy for seeing liverpool and close to the rail and bus stations. On the Sunday night there was a bit of noise from outside in the small hours of the morning from people leaving clubs
The room could have was smaller than expected .
The decor of the hotel made it very inviting and the staff were more than friendly in the reception and bar. The breakfast was very disappointing. We both had to leave it and go elsewhere which was extra expense..
