The price was very good for the location, which is excellent. Staff were polite.
Bathroom in our double room was very, very small. No air conditioning which is probably common in cheaper London hotels but it happened to be 35C plus while we were there, there was however a fan in the room. Very little storage space.
Everything bar the breakfast but there’s plenty of reasonably priced cafes really close by
The location near Paddington Station is great! The rooms were clean. It's enough for staying a couple of nights.
Breakfast was neither very good nor was it diverse. There was enough room and equipment to provide more selections. Beds were room sized, that's ok, but still not very comfortable pillows. They have "booking services" for shows and events... Which was not helpful at all. I ended up booking everything myself online. WiFi was unacceptable. Not really usable.
Location is good for Hyde Park.
Location, 24h reception. No aircon but fan was in the room. As economy room, it is facing a wall that is fair. Very clean towels - fairly rare in London mid range hotels - were replaced every day. Also clean bed and sheets. Room was tidied up every day. Do not leave expensive belongings in the room. Shower gel, soap, coffee, tea, kettle provided. Tiny room and bathroom but it is ok as being economy double room. Lift is not that small it can carry 2 people with 2 big luggage without any problems. We have not tried the breakfast as there are a lot of restaurants around Paddington station which is 1 minute walk from the hotel so no experience with that.
Cleanliness, noise level. Bathroom could take some limescale remover, even if economy room, standard should be followed easily. Sliding windows are quite old, we could open it just about 20cm for ventilation - it was enough with the fan - but when closed for the night as very noisy people we had around it didn't make any difference, which we have not reported as not much to do with this apart from investment in new windows. Again as economy double you can expect this, but earplugs are recommended.
