London Marriott Grosvenor is hidden on a side street a couple blocks off the Oxford main shopping district. Good location. But nothing terribly special. Rooms are nice. But small and over priced. Minimal amenities. Front desk/lobby staff as nice, but slow. Not terribly competent. Disappointing. Will not return.

Great concierge Room good and clean. Reception and breakfast let down: reception under staffed. Slow checking and awful check out. Staff out back whilst customers wait to be served. Not what you’d expect from a £500 plus a night Breakfast offering poor and expensive for what you get.

The Marriott Canary Wharf was located along West India Quay, and it was lovely to be near the water. Be mindful that it is a bit out of the way, so getting an Uber or a taxi is a bit difficult. Additionally, if you are not someone that leaves your hotel room early in the day, you might miss housekeeping services, so also be mindful of that. The one con of this hotel is that the toilets do not flus...

Pros (+) The club lounge staff were excellent and very friendly. The location of the hotel was close to everything.
Cons (-) The taxi service was very limited due to road work. The hotel seemed to be understaffed. We requested a late check out and were given a 2:00pm checkout only to be called twice and had housekeeping come into the room while I was getting in the shower . They let us know that their next guests had already arrived and were waiting for the room. Our stay included airport transfers and we had given them...

Pros (+) The location is amazing, however the rooms and especially the bathrooms are tiny. The door man Mr. Red Hat is amazing, and the concierge is knowledgeable and friendly.
Cons (-) Hotel is very dated, the bath tub is minuscule, and they also need to improve their TV lineup is not up to par, unable to watch the US open 2019 at all! Front desk was not the friendliest, we were first assigned a room that had a monotonous constant noise, when we called down they seemed to doubt our concerns, however the maintenance engineer heard it and agreed it was unacceptable.
