Pick up was fast and efficient. Cars were clean and new and reliable.Cons:
The whole insurance thing in Mexico is challenging and confusing. In this case we took the required 3rd party liability and declined everything else and used our credit card to cover rental car insurance. I always feel very unsure on if I am covered or not. Buying the full insurance package from the rental agency is very expensive.5.2 Fair

Despite having a reserved car at 10:30am, we were still at the counter at 12:20pm. And they didn't have the size we had reserved. It was an incredibly frustrating part of my trip10.0 Wonderful

Pros:
Agent pleasant,, car ready, short ride to depot. Agent was able to reissue the agreement at the same price with full insurance coverage. The original agreement only included mandatory liability insurance although we though we booked with collision damage waiver. Price came out the same.Cons:

I was unable to rent a car. The address provided was incorrect, when I finally found the place I was there a few minutes and the guy said he couldn't read to me because it was 5:01 p.m. and they were now closed. Ridiculous2.0 Poor

When i went to pick up the car, no one was there to help me. the employee that was available was not an agent. They shuttled me to another franchise location but they didn’t have any cars at all. none. they said i might be able to get one, maybe, later in the day but they’d have to charge me significantly more than i was quoted on orbitz.Budget

Booked 3 weeks in advance and got there The car was rented to somebody else . With plane delays in December , I show up to the Budget rental place 3 hours after .....and couldn't get any help from the employee . He said 15 persons tomorrow won't get their car either. Extremely expensive 400 dollars for a Vw Vento for 3 days. Car was dirty inside and outside, brakes are noisy and driver’s window wouldn’t open, and then it wouldn’t close.2.0 Poor

I called Hertz three times trying to get cost of insurance for I arrive at the company to rent the car I was not able to get a quote for what the insurance would cost . At the Hertz pick up location I was quoted a price over US$300 for insurance for a two day rental. I then asked about a lower-priced insurance off for and they found a second coat of over $200 for insurance for the two days . Thankfully I have insurance from my credit card so I was able to decline this insurance . After I decline the insurance the person at the counter then wanted to sell me some documents in case I got in an accident for US$50 for a few pages printed material . I felt like this $50 price for a few pages of printed material that the company should’ve provided for free was out and out theft . At this point they inform you that my debit card would not be able to be used for the purchase of the rental . Thank goodness I had additional credit cards and was able to complete the transaction . I do not feel that Hertz should be associated with a company that does this kind of extreme pricing for insurance and does not inform the customer prior to arriving at the location of all of the additional cost .Dollar

The car rental never happened, we showed up at the Dollar office and they had no record of our reservation and no cars to rent. They claimed to have not received it from Kayak. I rarely use Kayak and I don't really care where the break down occurred, will be booking directly with the car rental companies like I usually do going forward.2.0 Poor

Everything went smoothly. Pick up and drop off was efficient and quick.Cons:
Upon car pickup I was hit with insurance. i tried to explain that I had coverage through my credit card and taking their insurance could nullify my existing coverage but they would not rent the car without buying theirs. It tripled the quoted cost. Thankfully, all went smooth and the issue was not tested.6.0 Okay

We had an appointment for 3 PM. I was early at 2:40 but they couldn't start the process until 3 PM. So OK. Then 20 minutes for paperwork and another 45 for the car to arrive and do the walk-around together. So we didn't have the car until 4:05 PM. And it's not like there were other customers.2.0 Poor
