Charged extra fees and "mandatory" insurance which doubled the cost of the rental as we had booked it. They did not accept our own insurance even though it should have been accepted. Plus the car was smaller than we wanted and had questionable breaks. Never renting with them again.Reviewed Mar 16 2026

HERZ Goldmember nr.62347703 R.J.L. van Vliet The requisted car was not avalable and the only replacement they were willing to give me without extra paying was an open pick-up with no projection cover for the laugage. I rejected, and there was no other chose given to pay an extra addition fee for the only upgrade car available. I had no choice otherwise I had no car and was stranded with my family (wife + 3 children). I will make an official complaint about the hole situation.Reviewed Jan 12 2022

They did not have a car ready for me. And told me I was 8th on the waiting list. They said they would call me but did not. They gave me a number for head office. This caused me huge disruption to my holiday. This is the first time Hertz has ever let me down. Not even an apology.Reviewed Jan 1 2022
