Filthy and run down
Close to the beach
After making a reservation and arriving, I was told rooms were not available. After almost an hour of arguing a room had become available. I asked to see the room, I was told I had to leave my credit card with them to see the room. The room was filthy, humid and disgusting. I came downstairs to tell them I had changed my mind. But they had swiped my card without my consent. This place is not worth the headache.
They need better management
It was right in front of the beach.
The rooms are so dirty. The room service does not replace towels and only stretches the bed sheets. The rooms smell awful. The shower is dirty, the bathroom floor is dirty, the sink is disgusting, there is mold on the handle of the sink and mold in the bath. Honesty the room is way over priced for how awful it is. I paid 135$ a night. You're better off spending 20$ extra per night somewhere else. I will never go back to this hotel.
The only thing good was location
The rooms were very old and dirty. If you want a single room you will not see pictures of the rooms on the site. The are very old and musty and in a building next to the main building. The rooms seen on the site do not depict what you will have. We were there two nights without a working a/c in our room. Overall worst hotel experience I have ever had.
I booked a room and when I got there they told me they didn't have rooms available and besides that they don't want to refund me my money and I call them and they hang up on me
Great proximity to the ocean and restaurants
The power cut off in the hotel half way through the night making the whole place extremely hot and uncomfortable. The hotel is much further from South Beach than expected.
Great location,great staff,great value
Nothing to like except walking distance to the beach
You have to pay for parking. They show you a picture of the hotel and actually you'll be staying in the building right next to it which is basically falling apart. The restroom are horrible. The sheets have stains.
Don't believe the pictures
The location was the only good part
The pictures of the room I booked online had two beds, but when I checked in the room only had one. Of course they were "fully booked" and couldn't give me another room, so they sent a cot (which had blood stains on it)
The location is great. Directly on North Beach and quiet. Very good restaurants around the corner.
The ladies at the front counter are very rude and not helpful. We booked a room for 4 but only got 2 pillows and 2 bath towels. We were told, that there are no spare pillows in the whole hotel after asking 4 times ... Only one employee that overheard our conversation with the lady on the front counter helped us and found 4 additional pillows! Hotel itself is OK, but old and run down. Would never stay here again!!!!
Beach front location
The room service is inexistant. The facilities are in a very bad status.
It's basic and was the cheapest I could find that wasn't too far from the rest of Miami Beach. Publix isn't far, not to mention local grocers, restaurants and cafes. Beaches are on part with Middle and South Beach. Fine for just walking across to the beach everyday or using as an affordable base camp if you don't want to be in a hostel.
No breakfast, no coffee. Investing in a basic coffee machine for guests isn't that expensive. I personally don't care, but the rooms were pretty worn out and you can't (seemingly) open the windows. I hate air conditioning but had to use it to keep it fresh. These aren't really complaints. My only complaint is the price. For a third the price you can stay in a hostel in mid beach with good breakfast, bar, pool, etc. You are basically just paying for privacy to stay in a lot of the cheaper Art Deco hotels in Miami Beach. They are commonly just maintained to a basic level. The buildings next to this one are deteriorating and one has a notice of violation. OS maintains their neighboring building, but it's not too pretty. Again, I don't care, but you'd think someone would be investing more. Just an observation.
