9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Kickback Happy Hour and Snack Buffet was a welcome surprise. It is a very well laid out facility.
Cons: Didn't really understand the A/C controls. Bathroom floor was very slippery when wet. As it is fairly spacious, which is good, it seemed there should be 2 bath mats given. Would have liked to get a newspaper in the lobby, but it is not offered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Awesome kick backs, 3 free drinks daily, best hotel breakfast I've ever had

Pros: Ryan is awesome he gave us a tour and explained the home- he is very warm and inviting and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered Herlong. We forgot a couple pieces of clothing and housekeeping called us right away and Ryan is mailing the items to us! Thank you so much for a great weekend.
Cons: Hate to mention but only thing that could be better - bed could be a little more comfortable mattress prob needs flipped or replaced.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I can not say enough good things about The Herlong Mansion Bed and Breakfast.Starting with our initial interaction with Ryan, who gave us an incredible tour and told us so many interesting things about the mansion. To the adorable town it was located in. Then finally the delicious breakfast cooked by Bonny. The stay was perfect.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything and everyone! Ryan was amazing and a big thanks to all staff I didn't meet who I'm sure partakes in the upkeep of the property.
Cons: I wouldn't change a thing.
5.4 Okay
Pros: Beautifully situated on a lovely street just in the cute little town of Micanopy. Very peaceful and the Innkeeper was excellent.
Cons: The a/c was not working! I was given a remote but clearly it was just to operate the fan in my very tiny room. The bathroom was almost as big as the room and sufficient although the vanity top had not been cleaned and there was a past guests sticky residue on the glass-ugh! I stayed one night while I worked. Festival and had to miss breakfast -part of the price of $165 for a very subpar experience. I line a chilly room and it sorted at a warm 76 degrees so I didn’t sleep well. Back to Gainesville where at least I know the a/c works!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely place, with porches and balconies and true southern hospitality. Staff is totally accommodating. The breakfast is a three course delicious treat to start the day. Beautiful grounds and people.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Staff was very nice and accommodating. We were served a glass of wine at check in. Complimentary fresh baked cookies and coffee made us feel at home.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location is perfect! Very clean and the staff were amazing. The breakfast was fresh and homemade.
Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This Inn is actually a collection of several different properties: at least two Victorian Style Houses and a collection of Cottages. We stayed in the Tea Rose Room in the Cushman-Colson House. I liked that the room we chose was exactly as pictured on the website! The Italian Chandelier in the bedroom was absolutely beautiful, and my favorite part of the decor. The bed was extremely comfortable and the little touches, such as a personal coffee pot and mugs in the room were thoughtful and unexpected. I loved the classical music that was played softly throughout the entire house- it added to the feeling of a Romantic getaway. We were instantly smitten with the atmosphere of the Grounds upon arrival. The Gardens are extensive and lovely, with walking paths and statuary. We found out later in the evening that the Inn is also a popular Venue for Weddings, which explained the Romanticism. The Breakfast that was served each morning was fulling and delicious- it was served family style with an incredible variety of dishes- from spinach-bacon quiche to french toast casserole to cheese grits and greens. If you didn't see something you liked, you weren't trying hard enough!
Cons: The only thing I didn't like is that we had to check out. Sigh.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The setting is lovely, inviting, and peaceful. The staff went out of their way to provide service. The bed was superb!!!!!
Cons: That we had to be fleeing Dorian to discover what a special piece of old Gainesville can become
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Quaint, charming, magical, beautiful, majestic!
Cons: I loved everything!

Pros: Check in/check out was easy and staff were very pleasant.
Cons: It was loud. We could hear every conversation and door slam, in the hallway,; all very late and super early in the morning as there was a speech group of teenagers there. The a/c was great when the fan was running but got warm quickly when it shut off so we put the fan on all the time which kept it cooler.

Cons: Nothing
9.2 Excellent
Pros: the room is clean and the breakfast is good . there is plenty of car parking , the check in and out is fast and smooth.
Cons: they charge additional money and said it will be refunded . it is not clear why they do that .
7.5 Good
Pros: Bed was clean. Netflix.
Cons: Breakfast was poor. Many items not there and noone replacing them. Powdered eggs. Gross. I booked my stay based on business and was told I would have a quiet room . Your staff placed a loud multi person booking on Friday pm and I called to speak to the front desk. I was told they could do nothing. Your keyfob literally states that you will fix any issue. Why you would book a bunch of loud people before I had to speak at UF after saying I was ensured a quiet room is unacceptable.

Pros: Very clean rooms, friendly staff and the breakfast was delicious. The kitchen staff were so accommodating! Love this hotel!!!

9.4 Excellent
Pros: Nice pool, waffle maker on the breakfast bar, good size fridge/freezer. Housekeeping ran the dishwasher - non of the usual extended stay / condo rental guest responsibilities. Friendly desk and breakfast staff. Animals welcome for a fee, but they will be evicted if they cause a problem for the neighboring rooms. Self service laundry cheaper than a laundromat. Spacious room with plenty of surfaces and outlets. Good light and very effective blackout shades. Great water pressure and stable water temperature. Clean! Real dishes and glassware at breakfast and in the room and it was all very clean. WiFi worked.
Cons: Breakfast scramble and breakfast sandwiches came cold in cello wrap with a microwave oven for reheating. Fridge was not completely quiet. Smoke detector (?) flashed every minute or so. Aggressively softened water left me feeling unrinsed. Signs explain default housekeeping schedule, but housekeeping showed up when unexpected and asked me to sign an opt-out form when I declined service that day.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Really nice
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Yes & yes
Cons: No biscuit and gravy
6.0 Good
Cons: Due to a miscommunication between staff members, housekeeping walked into our room at 6am while my wife and I were sleeping.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: It was very good by comparison with other similarly priced hotels. The pastries were fresh, the eggs and sausage were hot and well-cooked, the coffee was pretty good (wasn't strong but it wasn't super weak either) and the oatmeal had plenty of topping options. The staff was friendly. The building itself was quite new and the room was well-lit and comfortable with a good AC/heat unit. The pool/outdoor area was beautiful. I am sometimes disappointed by the actual hotel pool vs. the pictures they post on their site, but here it was as good as, if not better than, the pictures.
Cons: The shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner are in full-sized bottles attached to the wall. While I embrace the concept of using this sort of setup (mini-bottles being extremely bad for the environment), in order to actually use it in a hotel...they need to be checked frequently and they need to be easily repairable (replacement parts need to be readily available). The conditioner unit wasn't working the first night. The top was clearly detached (unlike the shampoo and shower gel) and while I tried twisting it around in that hopes that there was an orientation that would work, I wasn't able to make it function. I told the desk and they said they would have someone fix it the next morning (which is fine as I'd already taken my shower). I got back the next evening and it still didn't work. In that scenario you think they would have some mini-conditioner bottles on hand...even just leave a full sized replacement bottle with no top in the bathroom for me if the unit couldn't be readily fixed. I was giving a presentation at a professional conference in the area; my hair was dry and frizzy and all over the place. This whole issue really shouldn't annoy me this much, but for whatever reason it stuck...

Pros: Beds were comfortable. Clean place.

9.2 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is across the street from the University of Florida campus...and only 3 blocks from the football stadium...and about 5 or 6 from the O'Connell Center. [ I don't think any other Gainesville hotel can say that.]
Cons: In the upgraded room we were given, the bathroom door was a fancy glass-farmhouse design -- quite stylish, but hardly private. The only dining options that we could find within walking distance were of the fast food variety.
10.0 Excellent

Cons: When I booked the room I was told “includes breakfast “. I was charged $15.95 for a meager layout! In fact I had a bowl of bran cereal, orange juice, and coffee. I definitely should have eaten somewhere else!!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Like the decor, comfortable rooms, bar & snacks, restaurant and location. Electric car charger - this is the only hotel I can charge my car!! Thank you for being GREEN
Cons: That the breakfast buffet is $16!! I don’t eat dairy or meat so there was nothing for me to eat. And I wasn’t going to pay $16 for a piece of fruit.

5.5 Okay
Cons: Their was dogs next to our room that barked and howled 14 hours a day
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable beds; clean and warm pool. Nice modern feel to the rooms. Espresso maker (broken this time). Croissants (stale, this time); fresher ones were offered upon request (they are frozen).
Cons: The shower cord should not be mounted so high. It cannot reach the back of the handicapped bench. Also, odd lighting: Only one light for both the vanity and the bathroom. Two lights would make more sense. No paper; coffee only at breakfast.

Pros: Super cute, trendy hotel with AWESOME staff! Everyone I interacted with was welcoming and seemed eager to please, without being fake. The rooms are 'fun' and functional, and the beds are super soft. Awesome lounge area indoors with a great outdoor pool!
Cons: It's just a tiny bit off the beaten path of Archer Road, but at least that makes it quiet!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location it was in was perfect and not far from places like Walmart, Publix and different restaurants. The staff was professional and helpful and the room was clean and met my expectations. I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.
Cons: Nothing .
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Location was great for us. We did not have breakfast. Staff was terrific! Liked the fact that we had a refrigerator in the room as we were traveling a long distance and had perishable food with us. The area around the hotel felt safe and secure. Great spatial planning in the guest room.
Cons: Thicker, more absorbent towels would be good. Another blanket in the closet area would be appreciated.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The Front Desk Staff was awesome and accommodating.
Cons: That you could not turn the bathroom area lights (sink and dressing area) on without engaging the entire room's lights. Therefore if you are going to use the bathroom, you have to light up the entire room for lighting in the sink area.

Pros: How accommodating the staff are
Cons: There were roaches crawling around in the room and the bathroom light had to be tapped to make it come on all the way

2.5 Mediocre
Pros: nothing
Cons: filthy
1.0 Poor
Pros: The fact that it's far out of the way, so that the likelihood of my remembering the incident on even an irregular basis is minimal.
Cons: Everything. How this place has escaped untouched by either code enforcement, the EPA, or other regulatory committee is beyond me. Filth-encrusted, fixtures not even installed, a vaccuum would be useless, carpeting pulled up... Code violation central.

Pros: I liked the location.
Cons: The room smelled clean but was far from it. Found hairs in the bed and a short & curly hair on the stained wash cloth. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The pillows were either flat or lumpy. Bed was hard and very uncomfortable.
