10.0 Excellent
Pros: We could not have been to a better place
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was great. The menu was very extensive and the quality was excellent.
6.8 Good
Pros: The best part was was the staff—extremely friendly and solicitous. Also, the outside of the hotel is the lovely quintessential white clapboard typical of New England hamlets.
Cons: When I arrived, I was told that I had been “upgraded,” which I accepted as true without looking at the original room description, because I was in a rush to get to a meeting. Holy hell. When I came back and took a good look around, I realized that the room needed a serious makeover. The furniture was old and beat-up. The bathroom, which looks like it was updated in 1970, had a plastic shower. Have no idea what people think is attractive or comfortable about the inside of these rooms. The exterior exudes New England charm, but the room was a dump— stained rug, water stains on the dresser where a wet glass had been left. I couldn’t wait to get out of there. I ended up having to spend an extra night in town and I went to the Marriott Courtyard on Rt. 7 which was the Taj Majal by comparison.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The dinner was outstanding. The grounds surrounding the main were beautiful- many of the plants were in full bloom. Spring is a great time of year to visit this property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a lovely inn! Warm and cozy and welcoming. From the kind receptionist, to the easy parking, to the large and comfortable room (not to mention homemade Snickerdoodles and a great bar and sitting room) — it’s a great place to stay!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful setting in a quaint New England town (Middlebury). Nothing like having a cup of coffee by the lobby fireplace. The staff was excellent. The restaurant (Jessica's) was fabulous for both breakfast and lunch.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved American Flatbreads. Thought Fire and Ice was only OK. Loved Jessica’s as well

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was lovely. It's off season so I didn't even see much stuff besides at breakfast. Amy who I guess is the manager was around in all areas pitching in. Breakfast was amazing and HUGE! I have dietary restrictions, and the cook was so accommodating offering to make the pancake special with gluten free flour. It was quiet which is exactly what I needed. And there is a pub / restaurant at the back which was perfect to eat, have a drink and relax in the living room or go up to my room. I was there because my son was doing the Preview Days at Middlebury, but I was looking to disconnect and relax in the off times.
Cons: There was really nothing I didn't like. There was only the small fact that I was a little confused at the lack of staff at first, but then was told that it was low season. If anything, because I arrived late at night and got in with a code (I didn't mind at all), I wish there would have been a bit more info given, like the wifi password and info about the pub. Perhaps someone prepared to greet me in the morning to explain things and answer my silly questions. I was given a phone number to call if I had a problem, so I didn't feel like there wasn't someone there if I had a problem. My simple orientation wasn't something I would call about. It's a small detail, but I expect a bit more personal attention at an inn. It doesn't change my high recommendation and I will surely return. This is just a 'food for thought' detail, if I'm going to be honest about my stay.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The staff was fantastic. Friendly, approachable, there to help. The breakfast was fantastic. Lots of choices, huge portions, well prepared. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Cons: There were no TVs in the room. We get the idea. ...get a break from the world.....but it should be an option.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: The room was nice, the complimentary breakfast in bed was a nice touch. It is in a great location.
Cons: The coffee was very weak, and the welcome staff member with whom I chatted didn't seem to know the area very well, which was surprising since downtown Middlebury is pretty small.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: The staff when checking out were particularly accommodating, offering me the chance to leave after lunch and finding shoes I had left behind.
Cons: Cars could park within a couple feet of the room’s door; would be nice if there were a little more buffer between the entrance and the public, or maybe if that parking space was reserved for room occupants.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: A wonderful central location in a charming town. A great breakfast with plenty of options brought to the room. A nice sized room a comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Very good WiFi.
Cons: No elevator with a steep staircase. Older visitors should request a bedroom downstairs. The front stairs are uneven marble. Recommend using the back entrance if you have mobility issues.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Could not get the TV remote to work correctly. It was after 10 pm when we arrived for the night and wanted to check the weather for the next day. When our breakfast arrived in the morning I asked the young man if her could figure the remote out for us. It took him a few minutes, but he was able to. Thank you whatever your name is. The noise on the floor above us was a little disturbing for my husband, but it quieted down after a bit.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Right in the center of town, the staff was friendly and helpful. Room clean and beautiful. Coffee and tea always available. A great selection for the breakfast that was delivered when we wanted it. It had snowed during the night and the parking lot was plowed AND they had shoveled around our car so we could easily get in. I highly recommend The Inn on the Green.
Cons: Nothing!

Pros: Great historic inn at a rasonable price; very well adapted to modern travellers! Nice rooms and beautiful hotel interior - right in centre of town; dinner in tavern or on lovely terrasse. Great stay!
Cons: No consensus on dinner: my spouse thought it was absolutely great (fish and chips); I found mine just OK (pouched lobster) - also in view of the price
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were all fabulous
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Dining room service extremely slow at dinner time. Not enough staff. Food just ok.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location right downtown Middlebury with great parking.
Cons: The beds are rock hard and temperature control in the room is a challenge.
7.5 Good
Cons: Slow breakfast service. One hour between ordering and being served.
4.3 Okay
Cons: This hotel should be a 3-star establishment. The exterior is charming but the inside really needs an update. The bookings ratings really raises expectations. This placed is way overpriced for what you get. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. Never staying here again.

7.5 Good
Pros: cereal, milk was nice and cold, danish was good
Cons: didn't have tea--didn't know how to make coffee(don't like coffee) they said they would make it for me if I wanted it. If I had known they had no tea but had hot water(which they did I guess in the coffee maker) I would have brought my own tea bag. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

A continental breakfast was provided in a basket in the room, based upon choices we indicated on a checklist. This was a nice addition. Check-in/check-out was very easy! We will definitely come again next time we visit our daughter in Middlebury! PS-Forgot to mention that our grandson was over the moon with your candy shop! We gave him $10. to spend and he was in heaven!
