Pros. The staff was excellent. Demoinde was always there for me.
Cons. The smell in the rooms could be better. It smells like mildew. As if the carpet needs to be shampoo or change. The bathroom had a pissy smell. The tv kept cutting on/off, the phone did not work in my first room. I did not see house keeping until check out time. There was no one to wipe certain things down at all times. Yes there hand sanitizer machine through out the hotel but most of the machine either did not work properly or did not work. I asked the front desk If I could change the card I had on file to different card. I was told yes, but upon check my account today, that did not happen.
Pros. Nice location! Amazing service! Kept period details.
Pros. location is excellent and in an historic building
Cons. Front desk staff very rude; claiming problems with reservation made with hotels.com; pool closed for maintenance without any notice.
Pros. Location, service of staff, willingness to help
Cons. Everything was great
Pros. Had a really great time in New Orleans and coming back to our hotel room was always a treat. Fantastic price for a very comfortable room and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Cons. What I did not appreciate was when I went to check out, I was told that mI was being charged for a night of valet: $42. I explained I didn't have a car in NOLA and that we've relied on Lyft the entire time. The staff asked that I was sure I didn't use valet or that maybe a friend had spent the night. I explained again, calmly if somewhat confused, that no, it was just the two of us and that had we a friend with a car, we'd use their car and not taxis/Lyft. I was told it would be taken care of but after breakfast, we went back to the front desk just to make sure. There I was told that someone had used my name to add this charge to my account, asked again if I was sure I didn't have a friend visit - as though this prompt would jog my memory of a friend I'd forgotten about visiting. The manager came out and told me that I would still be charged the $42 until they could launch an "investigation" and then reimburse me. I didn't argue too much but I feel it really is ridiculous that a customer should bear any financial burden for their mix-up. I cannot explain the circumstances but I know I had no car and no guests, so why must I be charged $42 for a mistake made by an international company? I feel as though Hilton could eat the cost of an unsolved mystery, rather than treating the guest as untruthful until proven otherwise. It just seems like bad business and it left a really bad taste in my mouth at the end of a stay at an otherwise lovely stay. No word as to how long this investigation process will take.
Pros. Staff was quick, friendly and helpful Bathroom was first-rate; excellent fixtures and amenities Large room by NOLA standards Great location Plugs by the bed Lobby is very inviting
Cons. TV difficult to navigate; few stations Pocket door to bathroom not ideal, and ours did not close; however, when we reported this, it was promptly fixed Lots of streetcar noise and sidewalk music on 4th floor facing St. Charles Bedside USB charger did not charge; however, adjacent socket worked; would have been nice to have this on both sides of the bed
Cons. Delay in getting towels when calling Response time was greater than 30 minutes
Pros. Good Location, nice room and comfortable bed. Friendly staff. I'd stay there again!
Pros. LOCATION
Cons. Asked for wash rags twice. Even went down to front deak in person. Never got them.
Pros. Location was convenient, it is walking distance to the French quarter. Staff was friendly, room was clean.
Cons. Parking is pricey. It is across the street and it is $25 for 24hrs. Beds were really small. Bathroom was also small.
