The location was prime.
The staff showing us a noose where they used to lynch enslaved children. The staff sharing the property's racist history and cruelty towards enslaved workers and children. There are no windows in the rooms. There were rats in the courtyard. The bathrooms were old. The rug and bedspreads were old. The power going out in the middle of the day and the staff was nowhere around. The staff laughing at our concerns about flooding, power outages, and the staff telling us to get out and leave for the good od our safety.
They upgraded my room & offered champagne as it was my wedding anniversary. Out of my surprise. Staffs are friendly, facilities are good. Location just next to Bourbon street.
The garden can be cleaned and be better as it looked dirty & messy during raining.
Location was a spot on to everything. Walking to everything was quick and beautiful. Parks, historical churches and homes. The French Market, Bourbon street were two small blocks away. The Mississippi River was near by so we could walk over to do the steam boat ride.
Our room was a pleasant surprise, because we weren't expecting a window, but had one facing the courtyard. We also discovered that a short walk around the corner and we could sit on a balcony to people watch and hear the tour talking about a neighboring building. It was a great place to enjoy a glass of wine.
I can't think of a thing that was bad about the hotel.
Historical. Like walking back in time 300 years.
