Would never use nor recommend KAYAK.com to book a Hotel
I accidentally booked the wrong evening for travel. Upon immediately realizing what i had done, I picked up the phone and attempted to rectify the situation. I was told that i could not be assisted and that i would be billed for the mistake. There was less than 5 minutes between the time i realized my mistake and the time i was on the line with customer service. Terrible experience. Never again.
Location was great
Rooms small Breakfast are small to many people. Couldn’t eat there Staff great
Convenient, Clean and Great Staff
Conveniently located Nice amenities Very friendly staff
Room was decent size but bath was small. Mirror, because it had a cabinet behind it, protruded over sink which made an already tight situation more difficult.
Front staff was friendly and personable. They were very helpful. Luisa is very nice.
It's not a major thing but when we arrived a furniture company was moving in all new mattresses and chairs. The problem was that they tied up the elevator. We waited approximately 4-5 minutes for the other elevator.
Everything was great except the reservation
We love the location (near to the NJ Transit station and easy to get anywhere in the city). We also love that there is no "resort fee" which kept the cost down for us. A hot breakfast is included, which was great!
We booked a king size bed through a travel website but when we checked in we were told that two double beds were all that was available. What is the point of reserving a king size bed if they just give it to someone else?
Location was perfect. Free wifi, breakfast, early check in. Everything was great.
Nothing we didn't like.
Room was large for the area and clean, complimentary breakfast was good (waffles a plus!) and in a great centralized location to Times Square and MSG.
No fridge in room.
Small but that's expected.
Our check in/out and all interactions with staff were very positive. Breakfast was good, a hot waffle, pastry, egg, or potatoes, plus juice, cereal and hot drinks. The two doubles in one tiny room were adequate. No tub only shower and the TV/cable was the bare minimum. Complimentary internet was adequate. Overall I recommend and would stay again.
Horrible place, breakfast awful with little nutritious value. It would have better to eat at McDonald's ! This is overpriced even for Manhattan. If parking is available, it will cost you an average of $50 per night. I don't think the bedding had been changed for me after the prior customers had checked-out.
great midtown stay
Close to Penn Station Close to excellent shopping Expansive free full breakfast buffet
No room views Slow elevators
Great hotel and great value
For the value the hotel was great. The location of the hotel is very convenient to many locations and subway lines. The breakfast in the morning exceeded expectations and was substantial. Hotel is very clean and feels updated.
The bathroom felt a bit small but for a hotel in NYC that is expected. Do not try to drive and park in this area, parking is atrocious and very expensive.
Staff was excellent
Those who are traveling to New York City, for business or pleasure, need to have a quality place where they can stay. The Hampton Inn Manhattan Madison Square Garden Area could be a good choice for nearly any traveler. The property is 19 stories high, and it offers 136 boutique-style rooms. The property has a convenient location to many areas that guests will want to visit. The rooms at the property, which was renovated in 2017, have excellent style and furnishings, as well as a host of quality amenities. Guests can choose from rooms and suites, as well as accessible rooms. Some of the types of amenities that can be found in the rooms include free wireless Internet access, a desk, a television, and a coffeemaker. This property is full of other amenities that the guests can enjoy, as well. The hotel has a business center, complimentary printing, express mail, a notary public, and more. It also has baggage storage, complimentary breakfast, elevators, laundry and valet service, and a fitness center for those who want to stay in shape. Of course, one of the main reasons for the popularity of the property is the location. Those who stay here will be just a short distance from Madison Square Garden, Macy’s, Broadway, Times Square, and more. They are just a short distance from Midtown, Murray Hill, and a host of other locations, such as the Rubin Museum of Art. Places to dine in the area include Café 31, Heartland Brewery, and Seven.
