I loved the building and the proximity to the subway. It is a nice. The top floor bar is beautiful with great views.
I did not find the staff at the front desk helpful or friendly. They usually seemed more interested in talking with each other. I also wish there was an ice machine to get ice. You have to call down and they were usually good unless there were elevator issues which was a pain. We waited long time for the elevator a few times over our 4 day stay. They sometimes close one for private events and only one goes to the basement where you drop luggage if you want to walk around and your room is not ready. We waited a LONG Time for elevators. There was a line way past the front desk!
The air conditioning did not work throughout the entire stay. It was being "fixed" before we were able to check-in (late), and we had to request service again during our stay. It only temporarily seemed to work though because I woke up in the night sweating. It was disappointing to not be able to sleep well due to the heat!
New, clean and very helpful staff-no complaints.
The funky retro vibe. Free drinks upon check in.
The sink is in the open room and the enclosure around the shower and toilet carries a lot of noise making it difficult to shower or get ready when others are sleeping. There are not enough elevators for the size of the hotel. The bathroom on the 2nd floor did not have soap on Sunday.
Good price for the view. Cool style room
The new kid on the block has arrived — fitting right into the neighborhood while making a jaw-dropping statement. Standing 35 stories tall, Moxy Chelsea NYC is an inspired addition to Midtown Manhattan, modern yet respectful of its storied surroundings. Tucked within the bustling Flower District, our hotel ushers guests through an overgrown flower shop, where a lush conservatory provides an inviting urban retreat. Design-forward details like an LED art installation and immersive culinary and co-working spaces are spread across the ground floor and lobby, encouraging work and play. Rooms are functional and fun, drenched in natural light and offering stunning vistas of NYC. The views get more spectacular atop our 35th floor glass-encased rooftop lounge, where all of Manhattan lays glittering before you. With four new dining experiences by TAO Group and Francesco Panella located within our hotel, there's no reason to leave — except, of course, to explore the greatest city in the world.
