Room was spacious, with a view, king bed, and wet bar. For NYC, it was rather spacious. I know this was an unusual week, as far as being reasonable, but this was amazing. Location is excellent.
Furnishings in lobby looked a bit worn.
Great, convenient location, with added fridge and microwave. Functional and comfortable.
The staff was amazing and very accommodating.
The hotel is a little old, but it just brought some charm to it all!
My stay at The Belvedere was wonderful! It was so clean and cute. I lived in NY for two years and my hotel room was 2x the size of my old bedroom up there -- very spacious for NY standards. Great view of the city and great location right next to the theater district. I would definitely recommend staying there. They asked me what type of room I wanted (king bed with a view) and I got it! Additionally, I got there early and they let me check in early! I'll definitely be going back.
Very friendly staff and very clean. My room had a great view of the city on both sides as we had s corner room. It's much better if you get a room on the higher floors as you can see the city's skyline perfectly. Easy-going ambiance and the rooms were borderline luxurious.
Very friendly and helpful staff, small but clean and comfortable room, in a great location for a tourist. I liked that the room had an easy to use safe.
Bedroom and bath were pretty small. Water temp and pressure in the shower were hard to control.
Loved having a microwave & mini fridge available. Great extended menu to order from.
Staff very friendly.
The best thing about this hotel was the comfortable king bed...and it truly was king sized! The size of the room was pretty large for NYC, bathroom was a bit small though. It's a clean hotel with a friendly staff. The drawback is the it is a bit of a walk to Times Square and Rock center but definitely within walking distance. The only negative was that they will charge you to use WiFi.
beds are horrible elevators are not adequate - very long wait rooms are too noisy
No wi fi
Happy hour with wine from 5pm to 6pm included, being able walk to theaters and restaurants plus sightseeing bus.
When we checked in we were only given a choice of a room on the 8th floor or told the 16th floor was more quite, so we took 16th floor. The room was so small and old the next day we were going to leave. At this time I also told the front desk I was a travel agent and have sent lots of clients to this hotel only it was so different than the larger more modern rooms I had before. At that point I was told uou did have nicer larger rooms and I would have to pay $35 plus tax more per day. So we decided to change rooms and we very happy we did. This shouldn't happen because we were late the night before and the nicer rooms were still available, we should have been given this without any additional charge. To us this was not right plus the picture we saw of the room when we booked was the room we finally received,I told my friend see the rooms are nice when we booked on line, they I was embarrassed when we got to the room. Next time I'll check the other 3/4 hotels in the area first. Plus if I send clients to the Belvedere Hotel I'll have to tell them about the rooms they will not want and make sure they ask for the recently remodeled rooms. This should have never happened with the rooms we should receive what we booked and so should all clients. Best Regards, Donna Leipper
