Staff was very friendly and tried to be helpful.Cons:
They would not rent me a car without a “credit card” even though my Visa debit card worked just fine for Kayak to make my reservation and charge me $88 for the insurance I ordered for the car. And I requested a refund, but of course that’s a different company, so I have to take it up with them. I emailed the insurance company with no response!2.0 Poor

the car was dirty and it looked like they did not put any effort to clean the outside we were additional charges I had to pay for my husband to drive the car even though we are married and on the same policy4.0 Mediocre

Pros:
The staff in Columbia were friendly at purchase. However, the car I rented began to have issues about an hour into the drive. I called the initial rental office and they basically said "find another Hertz and exchange it". That is quite difficult today while driving down the interstate in a place you do not know. I had to call back and ask them to please at least look up a place for me to go. They told me the airport. This added an hour to my drive in a car that was having trouble speeding up when I pushed the gas. The airport people were very unfriendly and I was not at all happy with the entire experience. THEN they charged me an "exchange fee and gas cost!!!!"Cons:
Employees were only doing the minimum for their jobs. There is no extra help if you have an issue with the car.2.0 Poor
