Pros: This is a fabulous property. Very charming and historic. The owners are fantastic.
Cons: Nothing
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great. Quality food nicely prepared, presented and served. The location was convenient and actually within walking distance of the places we needed and wanted to go withing the village.
Cons: Only negatives were outside and visual. Many of the outer surfaces of the buildings need some TLC. Lots of checked and peeling paint are a detraction. All the shrubbery was beyond needing a good trimming.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast home cooked and delicious. Marcus and Elin are charming hosts. George our home. Easy access to Corning Glass Mussum and The Glen
Cons: Nothing
7.5 Good
Pros: The bed was comfortable.
Cons: The shower was cramped, the breakfast was disappointing, fresh fruit was nice though. Owner seemed to pop up everywhere like we were being watched, he was nice though.

Cons: Nothing
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The owners were delightful and such a joy to get to know. The breakfasts were creative and delicious and very well hosted. The owners and staff were very concerned with making our stay a delight and they had great hospitality. The Inn is beautiful and all the rooms were so comfortable . The shared areas of the house had many rooms to sit and relax, play board games, read, work on puzzles or just have a cup of tea or coffee by the fireplace. The views of the grounds and Seneca Lake were wonderful. Marcus was great about helping us find local restaurants that were outstanding and giving us suggestions for sightseeing. It was a wonderful time and experience.

Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel - Watkins Glen - Building

9.4 Excellent (983 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel is a beautiful resort that earns its name as a "harbor hotel". This hotel has won numerous awards over the years, including being named USA Today's Best Waterfront Hotel. This is a Four-Diamond AAA-rated hotel that sits on the incredible gorgeous Seneca Lake. Many visitors choose Harbor Hotel for its access to the beautiful body of water and all the opportunities it provides. However, Harbor Hotel is also located in the middle of the Finger Lakes wine country, which makes it a popular place to stay for those looking to do some tastings and tours of the nearby vineyards. There are two separate restaurants located on-property here for guests to take advantage of. The first is the Blue Pointe Grille. The Blue Pointe Grill is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the mornings, guests can get their day started as early as 6:30 am. Breakfast items include an eggs benedict, several flavors of Finger Lakes omelets, strawberry french toast, and an Italian sausage skillet. In the evenings the restaurant serves plates like mushroom-stiffed pork tenderloin, Chilean sea bass, chicken Milanese, grilled swordfish, and semi-boneless duck with andouille sausage risotto. The second is the Coldwater Bar, which is meant more as a destination for great drinks and conversation than a full dinner. The rooms at Watkins Glen Harbor Hotel are comfortable and spacious. Some of the amenities that guests can expect to experience as part of their stay here include complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, a coffee station on each floor, a state-of-the-art fitness center, 24-hour room service, indoor heated pool, jacuzzi, and an on-site business center should guests need it.

Pros: Cleanliness of the rooms was excellent. The coffee station in the hallway was great to start the day. Staff all were very polite and helpful.

Cons: Would have liked a safe in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Every one was friendly and helpful. I liked the coffee table at the end of each hall. Instead of coffee machine in room
Cons: This was more of an observation than a dislike. I asked for a dinner reservation on sat. Afternoon. Said they were booked. I went next door had a good dinner. When I came back there were plenty of open tables. Unless they only do one seating. This is just a suggestion a little entertainment in a beautiful bar and outdoor area would be great.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Pool and lake views
Cons: No, all good

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic team who were so welcoming and really made our stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: The food was very good, the room was comfortable and the spa services were great.
Cons: If I closed my eyes, I'd give this place a 10. My experiences were good but the facilities were outdated beginning with the crumpled driveway in, the exterior in need of a facelift and the 80s style hotel. Having said that, however, the stay was comfortable and the food very good.
7.7 Good
Pros: nice trail in the back of the place
Cons: overpriced for what you got
8.0 Excellent
Pros: My wife loved the pillows. The room was very clean.
Cons: The bed sagged on my side. It felt like sleeping in a ditch. The bathroom at a previous hotel on the trip was better. The bathroom at this location was basic. We also were a little disappointed that our upgrade at the hotel kept us on the first floor.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The beds, views outside your windows, the staff, the breakfast, the spa and the gorgeous grounds.
Cons: Can't think of anything
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming room, comfortable beds.
Cons: Outlet placement - was difficult to charge electronics.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed there because they accept dogs. There are a few rooms designed for this. A small private patio off the guest room was real nice for relaxing. It also made it easy to take the dog out to go to the bathroom. We were pleased with the room. We peeked into some open non-dog rooms and they looked very nice. Staff are super nice! Lots of nice hiking trails too. Beware of the ticks on the trails though. Take precautions.
8.5 Excellent
Pros: I was here for a quick overnight stay picking my daughter u from college. Can't say too much about the facilities, but my room was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfy! It's due for a refresh with the bathroom fixturing and a few appointments, but a lovely stay overall.
Cons: Small issue, but there was no tv listing card and so finding something interesting to watch was a blind hunt.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was fantastic and beautiful it was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful, friendly personalities with all.
6.8 Good
Pros: It was reasonably clean.
Cons: Needs renovation. It feels tired and worn.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff
Cons: Needs to be updated
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable room with opening windows an huge bed. Wonderful in room bookcase with great range of books but best was the happy hour with free local wines served by owner Scott who invited us to his band GoGone practice in the adjacent old barn. They rocked. Staff were all great
Cons: Bit far from town for easy access to restaurants and in-house restaurant not open in evenings. This was overcome by allowing us to order takeaways and use the tables in their restaurant and even providing utensils

Pros: Very old charming building, but clean with updated shower, friendly staff, very close to everything. Bar on the premises.

During these months this is not a Bed & Breakfast but we are just making it available for large groups of rentors to enjoy and rent without any host being there.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: House was lovely and the room was very nice. Bed and sheets were very comfortable. Loved being near the falls and the drive into Watkins Glen was nice and short.
Cons: The breakfast was ok. Expected a bit more based on experience at other B&Bs. The shower in the bathroom would not open up fully at the top so the shower pressure was not strong. Also one of the lights in the bathroom would start flickering randomly. Would have liked to have had a comfy chair in the room to sit and read in. The room is definitely large enough to accommodate one. Would have liked a ceiling fan in the room to keep the air moving. Got a little warm during the night. However these last two are minor details. Still had a very good nights rest and enjoyed the property.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the screened in patio off our room. Kris was very attentive and fixed a good breakfast. The home was beautiful and was situated in a quiet neighborhood. Also it was convenient to everything we wanted to see.
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Only complaint is breakfast was a little lacking for a bed breakfast. Kris was a great host and very accommodating. He was a pleasure.
7.5 Good
Pros: Historic house. Close to Watkins Glen
Cons: No shops or restaurants in walking distance
6.3 Good
Pros: King bed was good.
Cons: We were a little taken aback by the reality of the property compared to the description/ presentation on the website. It’s not owner managed; rather has a caretaker who was perfectly accommodating but if you are looking for a traditional B&B, this is a former grand mansion that has been adapted to add conveniences. Just a little weird to have the shower in the bedroom with a toilet in a closet.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendliest B&B host ever! A handsome young man named Kris made myself and my friend feel at home right away. This historical mansion has a really cool old vibe and is kept impeccably clean. Breakfasts are served buffet style and differ every day. Perfect start to the day without making you sit for a long period of time waiting to be served. Can eat and go if you want or linger and chat. Also, on one of the hottest weekends of the year, the A/C works great!!
Cons: The lighting in our room could have been better, but everything else was perfect.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Excellent Location, just next to wonderful falls, and on a quiet, charming street. Just2-3 miles from Watkins Glen. The host Chris was very welcoming and helpful in everything. The property, well-maintained, has an old world charm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, building was beautiful inside and the room we had was very large which included a screened porch and deck. The property was located near a city parkway that was accessible from the back/side yard. This parkway lead to a waterfall that was approximately 50 yards from the side entrance!
5.8 Okay
Pros: The host, Kris, is excellent. He is a good cook and breakfast was very nice. It was served buffet style and we could eat anywhere in the house. The location is beautiful. I could see Shequaga falls from my window and the inn owns the property over to the falls, so you can walk over and see them.
Cons: The OVERWHELMING negative is the millepedes crawling around the floor and baseboards. My routine on coming back at the end of the day was to go to my room and start killing millepedes. Same routine when I woke up in the morning. I must have killed over 50 millepedes in my room during my 3 day stay. I hate bugs and it was creepy. I asked Kris, the host, about them and he said that they are in all the houses in the area. The owners need to hire an exterminator and sink some money into getting rid of the millepedes. The house also needs decorating, after they get rid of the millepedes. There is very little furniture, a few couches and several dining tables. Decorating is minimal, like the owners ran out of money or interest. There was no place to set my suitcase, unless I wanted to put it on the floor with the millepedes. I left it on a chair.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This place is amazing! Beautiful house and rooms, delicious breakfast and great host :)
2.5 Mediocre
Pros: The nearby falls. The staff was nice but seemed untrustworthy.
Cons: The beds were horrible; squeaky, uncomfortable... There were numerous worms (millipedes?), in the bathroom. The shower was dirty... towels were old and worn. The whole place looked like a hodgepodge of cheap materials thrown together. I have pictures for those interested.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our host Chris was extremely helpful
Quinta Rosa Estate - Newfield - Building
9
9.3 Excellent (47 reviews)
Overview Reviews
Located in Newfield, Quinta Rosa Estate is on a river, within a 10-minute drive of Ithaca Beer Company and Robert H. Treman State Park. Featured amenities include multilingual staff, an elevator (lift), and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly owners, comfortable room, nicely furnished house, lovely setting in the countryside, snacks available in the evening.
Cons: No place to hang up clothes (no closet or armoire or anything) in the Alexander room; lack of a certified kitchen, so not possible for owners to cook breakfast items; black fixtures (shower, sink, etc) in bathroom made it darker than I would prefer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful inn with wonderful family owners
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Absolutely lovely bed and breakfast. The hosts Nathan and Tara were extremely welcoming and very helpful. The house itself is beautiful and in beautiful grounds but close enough to Ithaca to be convenient. The breakfasts were delicious.
Cons: Nothing.
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Very friendly place, very welcoming and quite. Breakfast was great; however I would have appreciated freshly made eggs ( from their own hens in the garden - probably amongst the most happy hens you can find on the planet) and some toast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautifully restored and decorated property on wonderful grounds. The rooms are tastefully decorated to a very high standard with amazing bed linen provided. The hosts were wonderful and provided an amazing breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend to others.
Cons: Nothing. Everything was great!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We really enjoyed our stay. It’s a really cute place! Very comfortable bed. Great homemade breakfast with eggs from the chickens in their yard! The owners were great and very accommodating. The property is really beautiful and perfect for a morning walk. We would highly recommend this property to other couples!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Really beautiful inside. Also extremely clean. Very comfortable, other than the fact that my wife and I have trouble sleeping in a queen size bed because we have always had a king. Also, the mattress was too soft.
Cons: Price gouging because it was parents weekend. Literally over $100 more per night than usual.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Amazing views and great attention to detail.
Cons: A little hard to find.
7.5 Good
Pros: Beautiful historic aged home, the grounds were nice. Quiet location.
Cons: Two minor things... the guest parking could be better defined and cleaner. It was raining during our time and I stepped in mud with my leather shoes. Not enough parking for all guest rooms. The last night we were parked under a tree. Also, I’ve stayed at many B&B’s. Breakfast is usually one of the highlights. The breakfast was minimal. Yogurt w/ toppings, hard boiled eggs (fresh from the farm-bonus)... would have loved maybe a home cooked breakfast. They did have coffee and tea. Would have loved more interaction in the morning from the hosts. Just food for thought. We would stay here again.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the charm of the house, the decorating and a gorgeous property setting. Very tranquil. The owners and family were super - great people!
Cons: Drive to Cornell is not bad but I was driving back and forth a couple times a day. Having coffee available a little earlier is only a suggestion- there are plenty of coffee options on the drive into town early.

Cons: Went to breakfast at 9:30 and there were no breads of any kind at all. We asked the server who said the manager told her not to put out anymore breads. Fruits were very limited. No bananas left and only 3 oranges. Breakfast is suppose to be served until 10:00.

9.3 Excellent
Pros: Cleanliness
Cons: Price
6.3 Good
Pros: There was no breakfast. the location was good. it was close to sights that we enjoyed.
Cons: It would have been nice if they had a small breakfast--maybe a bagel, apple or toast,or fruit. They did not tell us that there was coffee. I saw the table with the coffee when I went to pay the bill. It wasn't in a good visible spot.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Watkins motel fit our needs perfectly. The owners were very pleasant and friendly. We were surprised by how clean and updated the room was and the beds were just right. Check in/out process was super simple. No hassles. Just about everything was in walking distance and after traveling in a truck for over 600 miles, it was great to just park the truck and walk to wherever we wanted to go.
Cons: Nothing. Watkins Motel fit our needs perfectly.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Was walking distance to the park, food and even ice cream across the street.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Love Clarissa, she was very helpful and gave very good recommendation. Also, the place was walking distance of the park and main street. I recommend to stay in this location
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Bed and bathroom were new and very clean Room was equipped with small fridge and microwave
Cons: Motel was directly off a main road, but street noise was minimal
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Our updated motel room was a very close second to the Hilton we stayed in the night before. The bathroom was newly tiled, very clean and stocked with plenty of towels for the four of us. The new flat tv had USB ports to charge our many phones. The beds were very comfortable. Clarissa, the owners very friendly wife checked us in and was extremely helpful with directions and tips for hiking the park which is almost directly across the street. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. You can see the money and hard work they put into this motel.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: The vanity in the bathroom was superb. The beds were supper comfortable. There plenty of towels. The room was clean. You would walk to Watkins Glenn State Park.
Cons: There were no tissues.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. Beds very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing negative to say.
7.5 Good
Pros: Updated bathroom and window. Window shade is pull up/pull down (allows light in while retaining privacy). Location is good - can walk to dining and to Watkins Glen State Park. Despite being right on the main drag, the neighborhood was quiet at night.
Cons: Room had two queen beds, a desk, chair, refrigerator, and upholstered chair - too much furniture for the size of the room! Had to constantly shuffle the desk chair out of the way to be able to walk around. Shower and sink have liquid soap in dispensers - I know some places are mandating this now, to reduce packaging waste, but I prefer bar soap.

Overview Reviews
Located in Trumansburg, Inn At Taughannock is within a 15-minute drive of Cayuga Lake and Ithaca Commons. The front desk is staffed during limited hours. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.0 Excellent
Cons: We stayed in a house that were about 5 rooms. Everyone had access to thermostat. Someone kept adjusting to 65. This is too cold for me but I guess they were happy.
5.5 Okay
Cons: No tv in the rooms, slow internet and no turndown service.
6.8 Good
Pros: Terrific location, very good restaurant, nice staff.
Cons: Our room (Garden Room) had a tiny AC that could not handle an 84 degree humid day. I fear for guests who stay here when the temperature gets above 90. It would be unbearable. Put in a bigger unit!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast included some hot items and was one of the best "continental" breakfasts I have ever had at a hotel. Location had distant lake views. Rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable.
Cons: No elevator in the location we stayed at. TV did not work until we got help from a staff member. Breakfast should start at 7am and there should be someone at the front desk from 7am until 10pm.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We had a wonderful visit! The staff couldn’t have been more gracious!! The continental breakfast was very good, but I have celiac disease. My husband had nothing but good things to say about it!
Cons: I just wish you had a few gluten free options on your continental breakfast.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic tranquil location which with the comfortable beds helped provide a great sleep. The whole team at the hotel made us feel very welcome and could not do enough to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The hospitality was amazing.
Cons: Nothing really but to be very trivial and pedantic, a simple kettle in the room only because we like a cup of tea early in the morning, there was a coffee machine but we are tea drinkers.
6.8 Good
Pros: Proximity to the state park, great bathroom, wonderful breakfast, beautiful views of the lake from the dining room.
Cons: Window air conditioner was loud and did not adequately cool the room. Service at dinner was ridiculously slow due to a rehearsal dinner being held, bed linens and toiletries could use an upgrade for the price point of this inn. I guess you’re paying for the location. It’s under construction so the patio area and some views are compromised.
9.5 Excellent
Pros: the breakfast was great.i only wish we had been there for dinner.
Cons: no complaints.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Provided half a roll of toilet paper; no extra in the room; garbage not removed one day; limited number of large bath towels--3 one day and 2 another; if using the jacuzzi tub and then taking a shower had to use the same towel twice; very limited lighting in the room; no tables near the sofas; recommend that one sofa be replaced with a comfortable chair with a floor lamp; no sterno cans one morning-eggs, potatoes, bacon were cold; drive way up to Edgewood was very dark; four site lights were not working; no robes or slippers
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent location in the middle of all the wineries and breweries. The Inn was next to a state park and a beautiful hike to a waterfall. Friendly and helpful staff!!Relaxing

8.8 Excellent
Pros: excellent location, walking distance to the Watkins Glen State Park and downtown, good communication
4.5 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Told it was a hotel but it was a hostel with a shared bath in the hallway
5.5 Okay
Pros: The location is great, centralized location waking distance from dunking donuts, Burger King, and Watkins Glenn state park.
Cons: The owners had 2 dogs that live there with them and there was no privacy. Dog hair everywhere , not great for allergies. The rooms have one electrical plug for use and no vanity or mirror to get ready. Bathrooms also have no sink space. I felt that the amount of people vs bathroom access wasn’t convenient as there were multiple rooms with numerous people staying plus the owners.. ease of trying to use the bathroom or getting ready sucked.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I had never heard of a hostel before, and didn't realize that was what I booked, but I loved it.
Cons: Have paper towels or napkins in kitchen
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location & Clean !!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The dogs
Cons: No Tv in rooms. Mattress were below average.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Local was perfect for a 4 day getaway for my friend and I. It was so close to the entrance of Watkins Glen State Park, so we were able to walk to the trail instead of parking. It also was near many restaurants and shops on the way down to the Seneca Lake marina. We stayed in the private bunkbed room, which was great because we had some privacy and the shared bathroom was right across the hall. WiFi connection was great. Kitchen had a fridge, water filtration system, pots and pans. Emily even left some food for the guests. We had a key to our room and also there was a code system for the front door, so we felt safe.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: AC, Price, Location, friendly staff
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A lovely little hostel in a beautiful part of the world. You won't find better value in the whole Fingerlakes region - memory foam mattress, really good showers and plenty of toilets to go around, great kitchen and very friendly, accommodating and helpful staff who'll go the extra mile to make sure you have a good time. Would recommend and will definitely be back!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Emily was very nice, she had made us feel like we were home! I could not believe that we only paid 33 dollar for each person. The bed was very comfortable, I slept really well. She had eggs and bread for customers for breakfast for free. I was able to cook some food and leave the left overs in the fridge while we were site seeing. This is our first times staying at a hostel and it was amazing. Our room mates were from canada and Lithuania and they were so nice and warm. We instantly clicked and became friends!

Pros: Clean, very close to Robert Treman State Park, relatively inexpensive. Good value for a decent, clean motel with a large free parking lot, close to the State Park and also clise to Ithaca. 10.0 Excellent
Pros: The bed was super comfortable!
Cons: Though there was a large variety of breakfast foods, some of it was tasteless. The eggs (probably egg beaters) and turkey sausage were awful and my only choice of milk for my cereal was fat-free skim (which is basically water). I’m sure Marriot is trying to serve “healthy” foods. Yuk!
9.5 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was great.
Cons: Coffee was a little weak
10.0 Excellent

Pros: the hotel facilitations are very elegant and clean. The location is convenient. The staff is nice. The breakfast is tasty and lots of options. I love the 24hr coffee and tea. It is quite and comfortable staying there
Cons: no one help on the luggage. I traveled with my 70 yr old mom, one 3yr old and one 3 month old. I have to unload all the luggage (including car seat, stroller) by myself, transport to the room and back to return the luggage cart and then go to park the car. lots of work
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. The room was spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed the decor featuring Cornell.
Cons: Paper products, toilet paper and tissues, were poor quality.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Best place we've ever stayed in Ithaca. Great "junior suite" rooms, surprisingly complete and good breakfast, well maintained, although I understand that additional improvements are planned for later this year.
Cons: Van service is a real plus, but one van driver was late ("I was making coffee and forgot," she said.) and a scary driver too. Refrigerator in the junior suite sounded like a generator, but we turned it off. Maybe it will be replaced.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The one bedroom suite is highly convenient for a family. Location: close to Ithaca, Cornell and state parks. Complimentary "social" evening during weekdays, actually a free supper. The best: free shuttle to Cornell. Richard the driver is awesome.
Cons: There was a smell of cigarretes in the room. Staff said that there were workers who hung their clothes there. They tried to spray the room but it didn't help much. In the indoor pool, which is quite small there was excessive chloride that caused a rash in my eyes even though I merely stood outside to watch the kids. Later, they closed the pool for maintenance/ clean up. Location: commercial unpleasant area just of the highway (no noise, though). Breakfast is basic.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: clean, remodeled room
Cons: some additional gym equipment
9.3 Excellent
Pros: Clean, spacious room with good facilities and everything you need. Great breakfast and even free light dinner on weekdays! Friendly staff, especially, the shuttle driver. Having a laundry place was also convenient.
Cons: Location is not very central but this was made up for by the free shuttle into Cornell.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast, swimming pool, location, room size, and pet friendly.
Cons: Room was not ready at check in. The staff made me feel less important because we booked through a third party. I hate when a staff member says that, “I’m sorry your room isn’t ready, but you did book through a third party.” If you don’t want to participate through a third party, then why do you? You could feel the springs in the bed.

Pros: We were very satisfied with our stay at your hotel. Very nice room, large and very clean.
Cons: The only inconvenience was the lack of surfaces to set toiletries in the shower. We had to place them on the floor of the shower. Poor design. But overall, we enjoyed our stay. We will stay there again at another time.
