The breakfast could have been better with more of it. Had to ask to restock the bread for toast, coffee and Danish. All ran out.
internet works very bad for the others when someone in the hotel downloads anything more than 10MB
My wife and I cannot say enough about how nice our stay was at this charming 19th century B&B. When we arrived the proprietor Donna sat down with us with a map to point out all the great things to do in Newport. We were so impressed, we immediately decided to stay for 2 nights. Donna mentioned two restaurants that had specials for dinner (Benjamin’s and Sardella’s) that are outstanding. She also recommended the mansion tours. If you are near Newport, you have to visit these mansions! And topped the day off with a late afternoon ride along Ocean Drive. This was a two week road trip for us, and the visit to Newport was a highlight for sure. We stayed in the one bedroom apartment with the separate entrance. Wonderful! The breakfast is limited but most definitely try the spinach quiche. Within walking distance to the bustling harbor area, if in the area we will definitely stay here again.
We stayed in the Budget Room which is exactly what it is - so no surprises there. It is small and the bed just a double with the (private) bathroom down the hall. The two best things about this place is the location, most things easily walkable to and the excellent host Donna who was so helpful with her local knowledge and suggestions to make our two day stay as memorable as possible.
The bed itself was a bit old and saggy.
It was a beautiful place to stay at and the owners were extremely welcoming. Place was very clean.
The bed was slightly uncomfortable. It just sagged a bit in the mid section. And the location of our bathroom was a ways down from our room so to use it at night was a bit uncomfortable.
